Looking around at the places in the city, I wanted to have a Launch event for #BrumHour at a creative and fresh venue. The owner, Chandeep has been a great champion of BrumHour, so it felt right that the venue would be the best host. I went down to The Space for the first time at the start of August 2014 and the three rooms vary a lot in size. However, they are all painted a brilliant white with high ceilings and huge windows to let a lot of natural light in. The main room is the carter room and can host around 50 people. When I came to host my event at the start of February 2015, I had 30 people and 5 tables with creative businesses from around Birmingham to share their project work on them. Chandeep was very clear about pricing, and timescales and this gave me a huge confidence boost that everything would run pretty smoothly. I hired the venue for 4 hours and used it for a 2 hour event including setup and going live. I like businesses that go the extra mile. I like people who anticipate what will make my life easier. The Space scored massively on all these counts. So, we needed a small meeting room away from our busy office to strategize and plan. All our usual meeting options where full, other venues either couldn't be bothered responding or were to pricey or not quite right. Normally a local coffee shop or similar could fit the bill, but not for this kind of meeting. I knew of The Space through Twitter, as another Jewellery Quarter business, so I dropped them a line. I quick response confirmed everything I needed to know and prices where very competitive. Booking was super easy. We all arrived to be greeted by the helpful and friendly owner (I think) and shown around. Our room was perfect. Tea and coffee and biscuits provided, self serve. The tea mugs were neatly arranged, the tea spoons were ready in clean water, water jug and glasses all arranged on the table, the heater was on, the chairs and tables just right. What this attention to details means is that we could simply relax and focus on the business of the day. It was a great meeting and the venue and service received went at least some way towards allowing that to happen. Worth noting that although The Space is kinda in the middle of an industrial estate it's also very close to the bus routes on Great Hampton St, the JQ station and maybe 5-6 minutes walk from Snow Hill. You can also grab a nice lunch at the equally excellent The Lord Clifden if you need to, tho the venue does do meeting catering upon request. Highly recommended all 'round!

We held an intimate wedding weekend celebration, which included a large evening reception on the weekend of 21 April 2012. The Hall and the grounds were immaculately designed for comfort; formal, without feeling stuffy. Every guest that joined us for the weekend commented on the beauty of both the Hall and the grounds. The photographs on the main website do not do the Hall justice, with each room having its own character and personality. Despite being demanding clients, every detail we requested was executed meticulously to our specifications. Even at the last hour, the team at Bryn Tanat Hall managed alterations and used their skill and expertise as true hoteliers without compliant. We still are not quite certain how they accomplished this feat, but it made it seem effortless to our eyes. Susan and Peter: in addition to this review, please ensure the family and the staff receive the appropriate recognition for their commitment in delivering a truly personable service. Your team provided nothing short of a seamless service which left us, our house and reception guests feeling that they attended the "wedding of the century". The Buffet was amazing, such a lot to choose from! The kitchen prepared a buffet of international food, so everybody could find something they like. Starters, Mains and a large choice of desserts were very tasteful and fresh. The staff was very friendly and knew how to make every guest happy. A dance floor & DJ in the restaurant made the night end with a lot of smiles :-)

I always tend to be at the benn hall at the moment, My son is a member of a local dance school and…read morehe does approx 5 shows there a year, and then with dress rehersals etc i seem to be there very often. Its by going to these shows though that made me gain the awarness of what they had on offer and since then i have attend many other activites there; The baby and childrens nearly new sale The wedding fayres Two tribute nights, one being queen and the other Abba two charity nights and so on and on. The staff are very nice and very effiecent, the venue is very well presented and very clean. Parking is good both infront of the hall and behind the hall. THe toilets, bar and kitchen facilities are very clean and have everything you could want. Its a really nice place and I have currently been thinking of hiring it for my grandparents anniversary coming up, and there rates are very reasonable. I think its nice that Rugby has something like this still where people can still go and meet up, they do other activites such as yoga classes and weight watcher classes etc, its bascally like a very very large community centre and has been there ever since i was born and i hope that it will be around for many more years to come. A big thank you to the team at the Benn Hall for a brilliant night out. Cecil B and the boys were on form dishing out all the favorites from the boggie years. Dancing most of the night with the groovy bunch, Big B, Annie get your gun, mad Janie, sweet Kim and Nobby Nick to mention a few. Doing the business and looked Fab in a Rod Stewart type wig that took be back to those happy days of boogie woogie and rock and roll. Get in on and get down to a fun night out. By for now Smokie Dape.
