I agree with Jessica... on first blush, this place seems like a typical sports bar. However, they have a great selection of beers - it's impressive, really. 40+ on tap. Jessica mentions the sampler, which is a great deal, indeed -- I just wish I'd known about it when I first ordered. The food? Bar food with a dash of extra care. The place was comfortable -- a few things about it made me think of it as a downriver version of the Berkley Front (if that makes sense?). The server was very nice, but (a word of warning on when to go, perhaps), they seemed to get slammed/busy with a dinner crowd at around 6ish. I was glad they were so busy, but felt bad for the staff who seemed slightly over-stretched. Nonetheless, if I was in the area and feeling beer-curious, I think I would stop by again.

It was Mexican night. I ordered the steak fajitas. Wow, they were so good and I felt a great price. I ordered the beans and rice on the side, but could have done without either of those. The beans were very dry and I just wasn't a fan of the rice, personal preference. My husband got a burger and said it had great flavor. Perfect medium cook and seasoned well. We will definitely return.

The bar and eating areas were clean but had a "homey" bar feel that made you feel relaxed without it feeling like a dive. Table got the mox sticks (these things are huge, mox logs, not sticks!) and fried green beans which were delicious. Around the table was a breakfast burger, a Reuben, the classic burger, etc. Fries were much loved and the onion rings (which literally looked like they cut the onion in half and then fried one of those size rings) were a fan favorite. I got the veggie pizza with a couple swaps (no banana peppers, added roasted red peppers and spinach) and it was delicious. Crust was crispy but not thin and the sauce was really flavorful. Appropriate amount of cheese, not so much that all your toppings fall off, but enough that you get a pull when you grab a slice. Our server was very nice and attentive. We split checks around the table and no issues. Would definitely stop in again and would recommend for anyone searching for a regular bar/food joint.

They don't serve any food though, so might not be a good choice if you're hungry. - Dogfish Head Grateful Dead IPA: 10000/10 (an amazing, refreshing IPA that isn't too strong! Medium-bodied, pretty fruit-forward with notes of pineapple and mango. Honestly one of the best IPAs I've had in a whileee) - Kasteel Wit: 9/10 (light-body wheat beer that's also super refreshing and flavorful!) - Hacker Pschor Oktoberfest: 10/10 (great marzen) - Rhineheist Cheetah lager: 8/10 (decent lager) - Guinness: 6/10 (the Guinness was wayyyyy too watery!!!) - Ferndale Project Apple Pie: 9/10 (actually tastes like apple pie and vanilla! It's def on the sweeter side though, so you might not like it if you're not into sweet beer) Overall, I definitely want to come back and sit outside when the weather is nicer!

However, I made a grave mistake of ordering on the QR code/Toast rather than at the bar. I say grave because fellow bourbon whisky enthusiasts will cringe -- I was pretty stoked to see that they had Basil Hayden Toasted. So, I ordered it but also selected "add water" with the anticipation that it would be like a dropper of water. Nope, they made a cocktail out of my 2oz pour of Basil Hayden. Whiskey water. At that point, it could've been Makers Mark or Jack and I wouldn't have known the difference. User error though so I did make sure I still tipped accordingly and NOW I know. I'll be back though.

My fave of the dishes was the whipped ricotta with hot honey - just wish the bread that accompanied was just a bit more toasted but it still was really delicious. Was nice to look out at the water while we ate. Would come back again if in the area!
