The positives- Kelli is immediately available for afternoon appointments - something that is very rare in pediatric occupational therapy in the Bay Area without a long wait. Our child really enjoys the sessions and loves the gym space. What needed improvement- Communication - Kelli was responsive during onboarding, but communication became inconsistent and at times difficult. Kelli has strict and shifting guidelines about how and when she prefers to be contacted, whether by text or email, and even which days she prefers messages. These evolving expectations have been difficult to navigate and at times felt unnecessarily rigid. Measurable Progress - The therapy felt very general, without clear goals or a structured plan. Kelli discouraged a formal assessment, and her initial screening didn't lead to a defined treatment path. We were hoping for more targeted support and a stronger sense of progress. She also seems to sometimes have trouble recalling past session activities, which raises concerns about tracking and continuity.

Kelli was incredibly warm and personable, and she quickly built a strong connection with him. She helped him learn valuable tools to regulate his emotions in a way that was both fun and effective. Her sessions were filled with engaging toys, swings, and activities that made therapy something he looked forward to every week--he never wanted to leave! We are so grateful for her support and highly recommend Kelli to any family looking for a kind, skilled, and dedicated occupational therapist.

Nobuko is clearly very knowledgeable about the body and honest about any limits with the treatments. I've been feeling better after working with Nobuko for counterstrain after a short time. Apparently, there are very few providers (outside of DO doctors) that do this work. A plus is that she is also a trained OT, so she brings a really unique perspective to her work. Nobuko is a gem and I highly recommend giving her a try if you're experiencing pain!

It took many sessions because there was a ton of damage all over my body, but eventually I could tell we were working on older damage predating the accident by 30 years. (That was from a karate injury that never healed properly.) She fixed it all. My doctors had nothing for me, and left me trapped in a broken body. She gave me my body back. I will always be grateful for the work she has done. My only issue was that the office in Oakland is not handicapped accessible, I had to climb up and down a fairly long staircase. It meant I had to park close by because I couldn't take my walker with me because there was no place to leave it. That was handled by having morning appointments. If I got there by 10, street parking in front of the building was never a problem. All in all I cannot express how greatly her work has impacted my life. She is gentle, knowledgeable, and incredibly good at what she does. I highly recommend her services!

At last I am sitting down to write this long overdue review for Bettina. We have been working with…read moreBettina since my daughter has been 22 months old, and she is now 4.5 years old. From our very first interaction and assessment, to our now sessions that have gone virtual, Bettina continues to impress me with her vast knowledge and creative techniques which has translated to immense improvements for our daughter. Bettina also provides a holistic perspective and keeps in mind my daughter's other occupational and physical therapeutic needs, as well as her speech/language goals. Even in this chaotic time of COVID, Bettina has gone the extra mile to make her sessions with my daughter fun and engaging. As an example, she keeps my 4 year old child 100% engaged in virtual sessions for 45 mins straight. Those of you with children (with or without IEPs) understand that this is a near impossible task that Bettina manages to handle with ease....but the truth is that Bettina spends a lot of time thinking of creative ways to keep her engaged! Additionally, our family has always felt incredibly supported by Bettina as we navigate the IEP system. She has taken the time to train my nanny as well as provide exercises for us to do at home. Finally, my daughter absolutely ADORES Bettina and looks forward to 'play' time with her each and every week. If that isn't the greatest endorsement, I don't know what is! Thank you so much Bettina!!

I truly felt like I was at my lowest--until I began treatment with Emily for Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD). Emily is not just an MLD therapist--she's a healer in every sense of the word. She approaches her clients with such compassion and attentiveness, always going the extra mile to ensure I felt supported, comfortable, and empowered during my healing process. Thanks to Emily, I've turned a corner in my recovery that I didn't think was possible so soon. If you're looking for someone who is both highly skilled and deeply nurturing, Emily is the one. Recently, I traveled out of the country for the first time in over fifteen years without swelling, even with long flights, changes in routine, and yes, a few cocktails. That had never happened before. Emily's approach is gentle, intuitive, and profoundly effective. She listens, she cares, and you can feel the intention behind every session. It's not just about lymphatic care, it's about supporting your whole self. I left each visit feeling lighter, more balanced, and more connected to my body. Emily changed the way I move through the world, and I'm so grateful. - Kendal
