Oh, zero's - lots of zeros - not an eatery but a derelict bar. Avoid! After cleaning a relative's suite at a nearby seniors' residence and walking back to our hotel a block away, a place in between was O2's on Jasper. There's an O2's in our home town and we like the food there. One of us was craving nachos and, as it was Sunday, June 29, we checked the menu and saw nachos were on special that day. It was 6:15 p.m., definitely time to eat, and the restaurant had signs saying it was open during renovations being done at the far back, furthest away from the main entrance. We weren't a large group - less than a few of us. We walked in, went to a booth, and sat down. We saw 2 staff. One of us heard a waitress talking, saying there were no more servers, but we didn't think she was talking to us as she was a dozen feet away from us, standing near other people at the bar, looking down at her computer till, and she never glanced up in our direction. Another person with us had not heard her speaking at all. She never came to our table, walked away from the computer till and disappeared. Most tables were empty - it wasn't crowded this early on a Sunday evening. The other staff member was behind the bar serving customers. A sign outside the main entrance said they were open and serving, the menu on the table at our booth showed food specials for Sunday, the website showed business as usual with a menu. Nobody ever came to our table. The booth table we sat at was broken, not just rickety, but broken where your glass would have fallen off the table. There was a dirty kleenix on the seat. We debated whether to go to another booth and stay, one of us considered walking up to the bar and ordering food, but after looking around at the customer base and considering that the staff ignored us, we got up and left. This place is located in a residential area west of downtown Edmonton, not on skid row, but it brings a skid row vibe to the neighbourhood. As we continued to clean out our relative's nearby suite that long weekend, walking back and forth to our hotel, we noticed a lot of vomit piles and stains appearing outside the main entrance of this so-called eatery. Glad we hadn't ordered food here. We also noticed a lack of Uber Eats, Skip the Dishes, when sitting inside, so take out orders weren't happening either. Don't bother with this place - it's a derelict bar with creepy customers and lousy staff, not anywhere near the great eatery we have at home. Avoid walking too close to the main entrance, unless you want to step in a vomit puddle (see picture of front entrance, taken a couple of hours later - but still very early - that same night). read more

-In search of a sunny Patio on the first warm Friday night of spring can be daunting.  We got lucky though as we were walking by O2s and saw a prime location, Patio table open up!   The south facing Patio layout has room for 5 or 6 tables and gets plenty of sunshine.  (Friday night bonus: Happy hour goes until 7)  There is a corner couch with gas fire place in the corner of the Patio that would make a great spot for a night cap.  Ideal location for people watching and catching some of the downtown Edmonton energy. Service was excellent and we never got thirsty.  Pub food was basic and tasty.   Staff and Service: 9/10 Ambience: 7/10 Food and Drink: 6/10   Patio Buzz Tip: House Lager is actually pretty good.  Try it with a lime for that added punch. read more

We came for Paint Nite but arrived just after 5 to have dinner. They had a few booths available so we ate there before heading to the back for painting. It was a Sunday night so they had $5 pizza special for a 2 topper individual size. Most of us had pizza but friends also ordered nachos. The pizza was cheesy and had adequate amount of toppings. I like the thick crust and it wasn't too greasy. I had a few nachos so only ate half my pizza. With a pop, my bill came to $8. We took our drinks to the back to enjoy while painting. The waitress was attentive to bring us a refill on our drinks without having to ask and taking away our plates. Food was good pub food and they have a decent menu. Washroom in the front (by the 3 VLTs) was clean. Would eat here again if I was coming for Paint Nite. read more

So I have finally gone to the new O2's that opened a couple of months ago on 111st and Jasper. This location has seen more turnover in the last few years than a fast food chain next to a high school. It's last incarnation, The Black Sheep, closed unexpectedly and reopened as O2's in less than a month. The inside looks exactly the same. I had a bacon cheese burger with fries. The cheese was processed, which I would have liked to see described on the menu as I'm not into processed cheese, and the fries were bland and almost sweet in a weird way. The burger itself was fine but tasted like it came out of a box. Our server was nice and relatively on top of things. There is absolutely nothing special about this place, but if you're hungry and it's close it won't kill you. read more

Really decent place. I order skip the dishes all the time from this location, and it's usually pretty good. The odd time I do stop in for a drink, its good. The service is not bad. It's a well-sized place with a pretty diverse menu. I'm a little awry from the usual crowd that drinks/eats here, but I get treated no different. Keep up the decent work. read more

I cannot comment on the food at O2's, as I had purposely eaten supper at home before attending 'Paint Nite on June 29th at 7pm. And I only had one alcoholic drink- a screwdriver, which the friendly waitress served in a short glass. Cost was $6.50 which I think is a little steep than if it was served in a TALL glass. After that I only had a glass of water. The service by this same waitress was good; she was attentive to the other people in the paint nite class in the back of O2's, and she directed me to the back where Paint Nite was held after I had walked in. However, drinking just what I had had was enough when it was over and I had to use the washroom didn't impress me much. The one stall was locked, and the other stall had a broken latch on it, so I couldn't close the door tight if anyone happened to walk in! Unless some idiot drunken woman had broken it, unbeknownst to the manager. That's sure not a very big washroom. And only two stalls??! I like too that they have a pinball machine in the back (Star Trek) as I enjoy playing pinball, but I didn't get a chance to try it out. read more

What can I say about O2s -- what is strange concept to have an American bar in Canada that doesn't acknowledge Canadian football! Wow who thought of that idea? Nine of us were out after an epic win from the Eskimos and we decided to head to our favorite bar and on the way stop at O2s for all their "football" specials. We were told oh no those eight pages of specials are not for Canadian football nights that's only for American football. OK time to close the doors or change the concept! Just a heads up you're in Canada we play football & used to be called the city of champions because we've won a multitude of grey cups and Stanley Cups. FYI we also play Canadian hockey here so the next question that people should be asking is when they go to O2's for a drink specials for hockey nights is it only for American teams playing hockey against other American teams? Absolutely the most terrible experience at this place. All nine of us walked out and swore that we would never return any O2s until they acknowledged that they're in Canada and that we have our own Canadian sport clubs and we respect them and pride ourselves on them. Stopped by for 35c wings and Caesars. I would recommended the dill pickle Caesar with dill pickle vodka. It was quite delicious! Their wings were OK - not bad but definitely not the best I've had. The waitress was friendly and accommodating. Truthfully it was mostly the atmosphere I didn't really love. It jus kind of basic and cold feeling. If you like watching sports though they do have a LOT of tv's for your viewing pleasure. read more

This location always seems like it could be busier - it's a huge bar - but every time I go it's half full. The service is not awful, but not stellar either. It's a mid-range kind of place. The food on the menu is basic bar food; fries, wings, burgers, nachos. Most things are solid, but I'm pretty sure a lot of the food is out of a kit, or not prepared fresh. If you're looking for something delicious and well made, try another restaurant. read more

I found the staff very friendly. I was a designated driver and the bartender gave me a couple of diet cokes on the house. The music was good (Hip Hop during the time I was there). Big screen TVs had a variety of games on for people to watch. I will come back again soon. read more

Same old, same old. It has a new name, but nothing has really changed. Since being the Stonehouse for a very long time, it seems that every couple of years this bar changes hands and gets rebranded. Other than having a huge bocce ball court at one point, which is now long gone, it has been very much the same. Average beer selection, average amount of TVs, a patio on Jasper Ave. Nothing wrong with it, but nothing special about it. read more

Nom nom nom. They have a great lunch menu, to which I have had only one thing, but I'll keep coming back for it. Heck, I even have cravings! Their Mexican Wrap with Tater Tots. Great Service! Great food specials all week with a kitchen open late every night! Finally a sports bar downtown worth watching games at.... lots of good TV's. Plus they have games in the back room... My friends and I came here for Paintnite and unfortunately the paintnite people screwed up and we had to go to another location In a hurry. The manager Ryan was SUCH A doll and apologized profusely, even though he had absolutely nothing to do with the mistake. He bought our drinks and gave us water bottles. He went above and beyond what needed to be done for a couple of angry women. We will definitely be back just from that simple act of exceptional customer service. read more
