I immediately thought of the Repair Lounge down to the their catchy radio ads. First up, it's pretty easy to find, opposite the junction of Tates Avenue on the Lisburn Road. If you're driving park on one of the many side streets rather than trying to get a space on the Lisburn Road. The shop itself is minimal, you walk in and you are presented with platformed area, don't let this put you off, that's where the phone fixers sit. When I went in (about 3pm on a Monday) the two guys were noticeably busy, one on the phone and one in the middle of dissecting an iPhone but I waited patiently. Once they were free I asked how much and how long it would take to get my phone screen repaired. They then explained to me that it varied from £100 - £140 depending on the quality of the glass used for the screen. This didn't put me off as I expected it to be in that area. What did put me off was the wait - they explained that they had a huge back log of phones to repair and with Monday being delivery day I couldn't get it repaired straight away. This wait made me go somewhere else, but the experience wasn't bad at all. I understand that it's a skilled job to fix these devices and that Monday is their busiest day - especially after all the weekend smashes! Cool set up and really knowledgeable staff - I'll be back no doubt!

It also has an array of what I would call 'classic' phones, but really they are just second hand ones. If you're looking for a cheap phone to take on holiday or one you're not afraid of losing, then I suggest going here before the bigger chain stores. The reason why I like this shop however is that 4urphone did me a great service when my Blackberry screen broke. I chanced my arm and tried to see if they could fix it before ringing up the insurance company and paying the excess. Not only did they fix my Blackberry screen, but they charged £20 less than my insurance company would have. As well as this they did it for me there and then. It was superb service.

To me even the newest, top of the range models were essentially just the cheaper more basic variety in a party frock. Even phones such as the top end Sony 's and Nokias were glorified cameras cum poor man's media player cum phone. However, since technology has moved on and fantastic Android based phones have come on the market my interest has increased somewhat. I'm using a Blackberry at the moment but to be honest I'm already craving something with a little more guts and ability. I called in here a few weeks back to see what O2 could offer me and I wasn't exactly bowled over. I'm paying £20 a month at the moment with Orange and a similar deal with O2 on the HTC Desire was going to be £35. Little too rich for me.

I recently purchased a new phone with O2 and overall the experience was not as bad as I thought it would be. My sales associate was helpful and not too pushy and he also reduced my monthly bill by increasing my minutes allowance. This is one of many mobile network stores in the city but I think I'll return to this one in 18 months when need a renewal or want to examine handsets!!

I have bought a couple of phone covers in here and have been really pleased with the quality. The styles of covers on offer vary from the sublime to the ridiculous! :) They also offer mobile phone repair, and phone unlocking services. For many models they can repair the phone within 30 minutes while you wait! They often have offers on, for example tempered glass hone screens for half price, or buy one case get another half price etc. This is advertised on their Facebook page and also on billboards outside the store.
