The chips are not always the best and sometimes feel they haven't been cooked quite long enough to crisp them up. Staff are not the friendliest and never have I been made to feel like a valued customer. That said they are never rude. There is no parking available directly outside. It there are limited parking spaces close by. Some of the prices are a little expensive compared to other places. Overall quite good and have been there numerous times.

Here, there and everywhere shops and businesses are cashing in with 'Oh! Wha's Occurin'?' mugs, tea towels and various other items. Amongst all of this sits the Coral Bay Café, somewhere that you wouldn't think was even aware of all of this. It's a Chinese/British fusion place. That may seem odd to someone unfamiliar with Cardiff cuisine, but it's reasonably normal. 'Half 'n' half' means you'd like your Chinese meal of choice with half rice and half chips. Even though I began this review talking about chippies it seems I'm now talking about Chinese food, but that's OK, I'll recover this: The Chinese food here is really great, but I'd say where they excel is in their chips, they rival some of the other dedicated chippies in the area, and that's saying something. I havn't eaten here, but there is also a well respected restaurant upstairs offering a good selection of seafood dishes. Dishes include: Brixham Crab Cake with baby leaves and lemon butter sauce (£5.25); Plaice Goujons with paprika and a sweet red pepper tartar sauce (£4.95); Roasted Fillet of Hake with a chorizo and roasted red pepper risotto ith tomato, garlic and orange sauce for £13.95 For the vegetarians on the day I visited there was: Tomato Fondue, Wild Mushroom and Aubergine Bake, finished with garlic crumb and poached egg (£4.95) and Rosemary and Truffle Arancini Risotto with a tomato, red onion and spring onion salsa ( £4.95).
