Their selection is fairly small, but the employees always seem to know the basics of what they are doing. They are helpful when making suggestions on specific products and helpful in locating correct fuses and bulbs, but where other auto stores are willing to replace certain items for you, they don't know how to do much in that aspect, even though they have signs stating they are experts.

I'm surprised that no one was willing enough to add this business. This Kragen switched to O'Reilly over a year ago! Anyways ... Nothing's changed. Just the name.

Customers are usually in and out of this place. Came for a visit on 11/11/25, on what seemed to be a busy afternoon and apparent staffing shortage. No biggie. Entire interaction took about 20 mins. I went straight to the aisle, not knowing what I was looking for. So I approached the counter and told them what I needed, but needed recommendations for something that wasn't necessarily the cheapest, but a replacement of inexpensive wiper blades. Omar looked everything up in his computer and found options. Shout out to Omar who originally delegated the assistance to his colleagues since he was busy at the front cashier, but ultimately was the one who helped me changed my wiper blades and was extremely friendly about it. Said I was gonna learn how to change my wiper blades last year, but I'm obviously back tonight since I never remember instructions. But Omar assured me not to worry "as that's what they were there for". That's the ultimate customer service you can always be guaranteed at this store. Only the best customer service at O'Reilly Auto Parts in Milpitas, off Abbott. Staff is always professional and efficient.

William was attentive and did more than expected, to make sure that I was contented. He managed the high level of environmental stress and plethora of patrons inside the store, who needed care. When you schedule an appointment for 3:30 p.m., arrive fifteen minutes early, and still don't get any acknowledgment or service until around 4:05 p.m., it's frustrating...especially when the appointment was already scheduled in advance. I understand there was only one person working the front, and I respect that he was doing his best to manage everyone. However, what I did not appreciate was the constant prioritizing of phone calls over the customers who were physically standing in line. If there's a policy that allows that, I must be missing it, because it felt backwards and dismissive. Overall, the customer service just felt off. I'm not one to make a scene or speak disrespectfully to service workers, but the way we were spoken to as if our waiting was an inconvenience to staff was disappointing and unprofessional. I hope this feedback helps improve future experiences.

They were exactly how I bought them. I had not layed one finger on them. This guy was full of it. It didn't take very long to see I was dealing with a dishonest person who was lying to me, and to himself. If you're shopping car parts, do yourself a big favor and avoid this place. They mostly distribute to other places so the retail is not their main business, yet the sales person who helped me was far better than retail salespeople. Not only that, after I bought it he offered to help me install it! I said I would try it out myself but he then helped me check it out and through his exhaustive testing we found out my right turn signal was also burned out! So he helped me buy that and install it, and test it again. All within the 15 minutes they were about to close. Most salespeople would be trying like hell to avoid you and go home. So big props to the store for well priced items, and stellar job for my salesperson.

There were 5 registers in the back and 3 employees. 1 was on 1 register and the other 2 on another register. They had me waiting there for 6-7 minutes holding my merchandise. Why? I don't know. The lady was just standing there staring at the screen. She could have at least told me to put my stuff down and wait a little more. Not sure how you can just stand there doing nothing when you have 2 customers waiting in line. Maybe I'll try a different Kregan store, Autozone, or Winchester next time

On top of that, basic supplies like chemicals, oil change items, cleaning supplies, and small nick nacks are about double the price when comparing automotive supplies at Walmart. My biggest problem is the etiquette. I was in the Army, I throw the four letter words around with the best of them. I have my share of inappropriate jokes that I get a kick out of. However, I have the common sense to not use them at work, around customers, at a buisness located in a family shopping center!!!! I went in one day and one of the guys was cussing up a storm while simultaneously bragging about how he used to steal car stereos! To make matters worse there was a customer in the store with his two kids! Just proof that common sense ain't so common and some people just lack etiquette or any buisness sence. Well, they will hire these people at this Kragen location. I give them one star because there is one employee who is very polite and courteous. Other then that, I only go here if I am really in a bind because it is the closest auto store in walking distance from my house.
