Went home and installed the 'new' battery. Tried to start the mower, but it clicked twice and did not turn over. Checked all connections and tried again. Not even a click this time. Noted the nut on one bolt had corrosion, so I went back and got new bolts and nuts for the battery posts. Once all connections were properly connected again, I tried to start the mower. No joy. Called to ask if they could deliver a new battery that actually was charged. Was told they don't deliver, but would check another battery to make sure it was charged and would swap it out for the first battery they sold me. So... I took the battery back, very frustrated. They swapped out the batteries. While doing so, the 'manager', Courtney, laughed about the whole issue and wanted nothing to do with offering any resolution to my frustration. Unhappy, but hopeful, I returned home. After once more installing the 'new' battery, nothing changed. Do NOT go to Advance at 5790 Broadway in Merrillville unless you like being ignored, laughed at, or just like doing the same thing 3 times or until you realize that these 'specialists' know less than nothing about what they are doing. Courtney was rude and dismissive. PS - Upon exiting the store for the third time, I was informed by another employee that Mgr Courtney is NOT THE mgr.. She is one of several assistant managers ... an incompetent one.

They will pay for an uber or Lyft to take you within a certain range and pick you back up. It's great for remote workers to drop off before work and pickup at lunch etc. *They usually send out $20 oil change coupons The bad: *The coupons are to get you in the door and sell your car or buy a new one. Every time I have went they are texting me or giving me fliers about selling my car. I'm willing to put up with this for the $20 oil change. *The following happened to me today and I'm VERY irritated. I bought tires at Costco and they TOOK OFF my Costco sticker for when my tires need to be rotated and sent me home with a sheet noting an alignment should be done next visit and it is $189. So now I have to call Costco to ask when my car should be serviced by them because Toyota removed the sticker. Removing the sticker had me furious as soon as I noticed at the light pulling out. It reminded me of another situation. Prior to getting new tires at Costco my car had only been serviced at Toyota. My tires needed a tool to get them off. So Costco could not take them off, I called Toyota who informed me they wouldn't have used my tool as they use a universal one. I sure as heck wasn't in my replacement tire area removing any of the tools. So I had to order the tool to get the tire off, make another appointment at Costco. Just a giant waste of time and now my time is wasted again because they removed the sticker. It's sad, I think this was my last visit to Team Toyota Service..over a sticker.

I mentioned to the man behind the counter about my appointment and that I would wait for the car. I told him I would wait for the car and went to sit down in the waiting area. There was a lady waiting for her car to be finished already sitting in the waiting area. I looked for a seat but the remaining seats were covered with floor mats waiting to be put down on the floor. Not wanting to crowd the lady by sitting next to her, I decided to leave. I had the tire repaired by a shop down the street in 30 minutes. I know that CarX corporate had come to the Whiting business and had started making changes to the systems and files that the previous owners had been using.
