I have been a faithful customer of this O'Reillys Auto Parts store for the past 6 yrs. But, I was pretty disappointed yesterday morning (Tues. 28 Nov 2017).
In the past, I've always been met with a friendly attitude and willingness to help resolve any auto parts issues along with a helping hand (when possible) right outside the door in the parking lot.
On this date, I was greeted by a rep (young lady) to whom I explained my problems with some high beam bulbs for my 2007 Solara convertible. She went into the computer and found that the bulbs I bought in February & that they were still under warranty. She then said "if you bring them in, we will replace them." I was satisfied with the warranty response but was dis-satisfied with service response (In the past the rep would've asked me do you have the car here and would have proceeded to help me remove the headlamp bulbs). I then had to ask her if they had someone who could help me remove the bulbs from my car. Initially, she said she would see if they had someone who could do that for me as she was not familiar with that car. After a few minutes she donned a pair of nitrile gloves and proceeded to the door to remove the headlamp bulbs. Obviously, it wasn't her first time in doing this.
Eventually, the new high beam bulbs replaced although one of them was not coming on. I asked her if she could jiggle it (to ensure that it was properly seated). Her response was I don't know how to jiggle it as it's in place.
Note: What I wanted her to do was to ensure The bulb was properly seated in the receptacle. I said no more...
If I happen to see Ken (manager) in the future, I'm going to bring it to his attention. But,...
I left there with a bad taste in my mouth for her obvious unwillingness to be of help and may call NAPA to do business in the future. read more
