I've had to use the services of Goodyear Auto Service in Foley, AL twice so far over the years. I…read morehad one of my tires somehow run over something in a gravel parking lot that made it immediately deflate. So after getting my spare tire on and arriving to Goodyear they found sidewall damage that couldn't be repaired and quickly got me a new tire installed and it came with a warranty. A few years later that same tire started to very slowly deflate on me over the course of several weeks. The deflation finally started getting faster so I decided to take it in after I couldn't find anything wrong with the tire and then people doing my oil change couldn't find anything either. So the Goodyear folks finally found a screw stuck into the sidewall of the tire facing towards the inside of the vehicle. Well apparently the tire warranty only lasted a short time as it had already expired which is a bit different than other tire warranties I've had. They also didn't have my tire in stock so they replaced it with what they did have in stock. What I found unusual is they didn't just replace my tire with the full size spare that is the same type of tire and then just put in their different type of tire in my spare tire space. Overall they got everything done faster than most places these days.

I asked about a warranty and was told, you must replace the tire and send in your request for the warranty replacement before anything could be done. They replaced the new tire with a used tire and it sounded louder than any tire I've ever had. I went back and they did not want to replace it. I suggested the mechanic drive with me. Once he did, he realize the tire was faulty and the radial belts had separated- this was all before a long road trip that could have caused a serious wreck of the tire would have blown. Do not buy any kind of tire from this company.

I used Vannoy's more than 10 years ago and had a horrible experience, so I hadn't been back--until…read morerecently. I developed a bubble in the sidewall of one of my tires, and the Vannoy's location on 9 Mile Road near I-10 was the closest shop. I called and spoke with Mindy, explained what I needed, and she quickly gave me several options. I chose a tire they had in stock and headed over. They replaced the tire, completed a vehicle inspection, and pointed out a few deficiencies--which is pretty standard these days. They provided a price for each repair, but there was no pressure or aggressive upselling. Fast-forward a few weeks: I needed tires mounted on my son's vehicle and the TPMS sensors transferred, and I decided to return to Vannoy's. I received the same great service from Mindy and watched her treat every customer with the same patience and professionalism. At one point, she took a call from what I assume was an unhappy customer regarding work completed under the shop's previous ownership--something neither Mindy nor the current team had been involved with. The way she handled the conversation deserves special recognition. She clearly explained the ownership change, made no promises or excuses, and still went above and beyond. She offered to contact former team members to see whether they remembered the work and promised to personally follow up with management to determine whether anything could be done. If you've read this far, it's probably no surprise that I recommend Vannoy's on 9 Mile Road at I-10--but even more so, I recommend asking for Mindy. She completely changed my perception of the business.

I'm not sure how long they've been around but from the looks of the signage it's been a long time. It's not fancy and there's no big TV or refreshments in a comfy waiting area but the important stuff makes it worth the trip here. My recent this week was due to a nail in my tire. I called, they said not much of a wait and I could head over. I got there, waited 10 minutes, they removed and prepared my tire and I was back on the road within minutes. Good work, fair price, in and out, nice! Their space isn't big so new tires will most likely require a pre-order but ther come on next-day in most cases but they do more than just tires and batteries. They do repair on domestic and foreign vehicles as well as brakes, belts, scheduled maintenance, oil changes, and of course all things tires and alignments on your car, SUV, or truck. Bottom line: Honest and dependable work with great people and very fair prices, highly recommended! Hours: M-F 7:30am-5:00pm Closed Sat & Sun
