Chicken Pad Thai
Michael L.

What a great lunch spot! Been craving some Thai food so decided to try this spot. Happy I did! And great value also. We ordered the pad Thai and yellow curry lunch specials. Both meals had generous and tasty sides. That roll with sauce was the business. Perfect amount of spice and lots of different flavors. Really left me happy Good service and nice decor to top it off. I will definitely be back

Chicken Larb Salad and purple rice

The servers were very nice people. Great service. But the Chicken Larb was really awful. It was not tasty at all and it was very expensive. I was dumb founded. No pieces of lemon grass, no cilantro, or bits of toasted rice. It was more like a soup of minced chicken with a lot of sliced onion, shallot, salt, and a tiny bit of shredded carrot and purple cabbage for decoration. It was strange. I must have ordered the wrong thing at this place.

Really friendly staff and even pet friendly which was so nice and rare to find, they even offered water! We got the pad kee mao, and I would say the portion for the price could've been a little better, I do eat a lot but I just felt unsatisfied with the portion because I was still quite hungry. For a drunken noodle I expected more flavor and spice, but I had to ask for chili on the side because we weren't asked about it, but I felt the flavors were not quite there. But I'm willing to try again and asking specifically for spice and more flavor

Friends recommended this great Thai restaurant. We were not disappointed. Why is it O-R?? The owners initials! She was there when we ate lunch... Which was served hot , delicious and quick enough for our 1 hour lunch break. We shared the chicken satay with yummy peanut sauce... That's what I will order next time. The meat was moist and delicious. The pad Thai flavors were great, but the chicken was a bit dry and overcooked.... That's the only reason for the 4... otherwise, flavors and service were 5 all the way!!

Orange Chicken

Absolutely blown away. I ordered the orange chicken, and it was hands-down the best I've ever had -- perfectly crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and coated in a bright, balanced orange sauce that wasn't overly sweet or heavy. You can tell it was made fresh, not sitting under a heat lamp. The portion was generous, and the garnish added a nice touch. Service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere felt clean, comfortable, and welcoming -- great for both a casual lunch or dinner. If orange chicken is your go-to dish, this place sets a new standard. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu. Highly recommend!

Yellow Curry Fried Rice with crispy fried chicken. Amazing dish.

So we have dined here at least 15 times since discovering O-R Thai. Tried many dishes. Just want to reiterate my earlier 5 star review. Each and every dish we have eaten has been fresh, delicious, hot and generously portioned. I love places like this. Everyone working here is genuinely nice. The food is great. Top-tier experience in an unpretentious setting. I can't help but think this is the kind of place Anthony Bourdain would have visited and loved.

I was in the area for work and decided to check this place out. Tbh I didn't have high expectations for Asian food in the area based on the demographic. Surprisingly, this Thai place was pretty great! The pad see ew and spicy wings were sweeter than I'd like. They need more umami ... sprinkle of MSG maybe? lol The edamame had nice, garlicky flavor. The softshell crab was pretty good, just a bit pricey for the size but still decent. They also gave me free Thai iced tea! I'm pretty particular with my Thai tea, and this place is up there! It's not too sweet and actually had enough tea. Please visit this amazing spot! Apparently, they just opened ~4months ago. The staff is very welcoming, and the spot is really cutesy. I definitely will be back!

This spot is a hidden gem for authentic Thai food. The portions were generous, the prices reasonable, and the service friendly and welcoming. A go-to spot when you're craving Thai food.

The tiniest Chicken Satay I've ever seen.

It was a first time experience at O-R Thai. I was so excited to try a new Thai restaurant, until I did... AMBIANCE: Small, beautiful restaurant with lovely decor. I really liked the vibe in here when I came into pick up my takeout order. CUSTOMER SERVICE: It was ok. When I walked to the back counter, a man said nothing. I greeted him. He handed me my food after I paid, and I got into my car to check everything to make sure it was correct. As I checked, the Roti with Curry Sauce was all over. The curry sauce side was open and all over the Roti. I could not believe how tiny the side of curry was and the appetizer. I'm a huge fan of Peanut Sauce on my Thai food, and I usually order sides of it. I did not order any, because I ordered the Chicken Satay. In the Yelp pictures every picture of the Satay came with a huge bowl of Peanut Sauce, so I thought I was set. The peanut sauce I received was miniature. My biggest pet peeve is TAKEOUT PORTIONS VS DINE IN PORTIONS. I went back inside with the food. I kindly explained the curry sauce spilled all over the Roti, because the lid was not closed. Then I brought up how in the dine in pictures on Yelp, like the Satay, came with a huge bowl of Peanut Sauce. I received a very tiny portion. Same for the Roti and Curry. His response was "yes we don't have containers big enough for takeout. He gave me another tiny side of Peanut Sauce. So the dine in customers get to enjoy larger portions? That is not fair. As I was standing there, I was watching dishes of food go out and I couldn't believe the huge portions! It looked beautiful too! That is not ok when you take out food and get less. Just give more smaller sides of sauce! I even mentioned to the guy that it wasn't fair that dine in customers get bigger portions and he said "yes, I know." So he is AWARE of it! FOOD: The Chicken Satay were the tiniest, thinnest skewers of chicken I've ever had or seen. The tiny little cucumber salad blew my mind. Dining in, you get a bowl. The Roti with Curry sauce was not good. The Roti was soaked with grease, and the sauce was extremely watery. See my video posted! It was watered down Curry. The Pad Thai was a small portion, again, compared to dine in. It did not have much flavor and was very dry. OVERALL: I do not think takeout customers should get ripped off just because they aren't dining in. The portions should be the same. I don't want to feel bad or guilty when I kindly bring this to an employees attention, and that's how I felt the first time coming here. I always speak to people with kindness, respect, and honesty. So I HONESTLY won't be returning.

If I could give it more stars I would. Very tasty food - done exactly right not too greasy, not too dry and not too spicy . Check out their extensive menu and reasonable pricing .Hugh portions-- their entrees are really two portions so dinner and next day lunch . Their service impeccable and the owner Pinok a total charm. The restaurant recently moved from Thousand Oaks Mall to an outdoor mall location off kanan in agoura with plenty of parking .The locale has multiple indoor tables around a beautiful gold ship statue. They have a budget friendly lunch special and cater to special diets especially gluten free.

Chicken Satay
Megan G.

I used to frequent their original location (White Elephant) and was sad to see their spot at The Oaks close. However, I'm super glad they found another home in Agoura!! I started off with the Chicken Satay--cooked to perfection, juicy, and flavorful! For my main, I got my usual Chicken Pad Thai that was made fresh to order. The portion was generous and it had the perfect amount of sweet, spicy, and slight tang--exactly how I like it! They also gave me a complimentary mango for dessert, which was amazing and highly appreciated!! Service was superb, and the waiter was attentive. The ambiance is casual, making it great for dining in or grabbing takeout. O-R Thai is definitely my favorite Thai restaurant in the area, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit! Highly recommend!

Overall, everyone had a good time and a nice meal. Located in a strip mall next to the Regency theater in Agoura Hills, the restaurant is minutes off a 101 exit. Parking is ample in the strip mall parking lot. For the appetizer, we ordered the large Tom Yum Gong soup. The serving size was very generous, and it tasted delicious. For the entrees, we ordered pepper steaks, sweet and sour chicken, chicken with peanut sauce, and seafood platter. Not all the entrees arrived at the same time, and my seafood platter entree arrived about 15-20 minutes later than the rest. Therefore, I started my main course when others were mostly done with their meals. In addition, the sauce in my seafood platter was overpowering the delicate flavors of the seafood. I also did not like the use of imitation crab meat in the mix, which felt somewhat synthetic. As for the service, our waiters were friendly and attentive. Despite some logistics issues with the kitchen, we had a good time. That being said, I was surprised to read my prior review in 2016, noting the long wait time in the kitchen. I hope management can improve the logistics in the kitchen and ensure all entrees come out on time.
