During our recent trip to Spain, we had many fine meals, and O Pincho was one of the highlights. I'm not sure how we ran across it as we explored the various streets of Ferrol, but we're glad we did. We especially appreciated the Waiter who commented on our possible choices. For example, we first ordered Patatas Bravas and Chipirones (unbreaded baby squid with more potatoes), and creamy chicken dish (with more potatoes), and a Spanish Tortilla. At that point, he advised that we were ordering to much food and that we should drop the Tortilla. We did and in hindsight, we should have cut back on the potatoes as well. We just didn't realize that spuds came with about everything.
We sat in a nice outdoor spot and got a great view of street traffic and all the different customers who came in after us. We or course came to a Spanish lunch a little early, so at first we almost had the place to ourselves. The Chipirones were outstanding, as were the Patatas Bravas, and the nice little free appetizer that we were served up front. The chicken dish was very good as well, but by the time we got there (after the Chipirones), we were on our way to being more than full. And yes, we washed all that down with water and sharing a full bottle of wine.
We were in town because we would be walking the Camino Ingles the next day. I would highly recommend that if you're in town as well, that you give O Pincho a try. A travel website competitor has lots of positive reviews as well.
Sorry, no food pictures this time, but trust me. read more
