Wow!! We found O Jardim serendipitously as we were trying to find a place close to our friend's hotel that had a decent vegan selection. We wanted to go to Sr. Lisboa (which is near the hotel) but it's closed for construction so we ended up at O Jardim which was a longer walk but the physical space, vibe, staff were so welcoming and our meal was delicious. Very vegetable centered. We had 2 vegans and 1 pepper allergy who did not go hungry !! The staff were very attentive to this and provided choices that suited all of our needs. The food was delicious - we shared 7 tapas for 5 people (we got 2 orders of 2 of them) and ate all of it. The wine list complemented the food really well. We didn't get any cocktails or mocktails but the list was extensive and looked really good. Highly recommend for a fun evening with friends and plenty of options for vegetarians and vegans.

First time here. Went to their a cozinha outpost before. That's currently closed. This place was fantastic in a different way. While the other was comfort food, this is elevated but still with a quirkiness of combined flavors that just WORKS. Keep in mind the menu we had is different from what's online. I didn't take a photo. But we had the polvo, gnocchi, shrimp, tarts, and bread. You could tell the quality of the ingredients. Loved it here just like I loved their other outpost. The ambiance is very nice yet comfortable. Staff and service is also fantastic. Would highly recommend.

While the food tasted good the portions are way too small for two people to share and are over priced. The octopus dish had one small limb divided into 3 parts; the salad was two small lettuce hearts. We left hungry! The staff was friendly and explained the dishes. The ambiance was ok.

I have pondered over this place for a while now, not being sure what to rate it as. The service is friendly, the location and atmosphere are both great, and while the food is good, I think it's a bit underwhelming. There were four of us, with a dinner reservation. We scouted the menu prior to coming because my cousin is vegan. Even though many items seemed vegan by the description, only 2 ended up actually being vegan. While the staff was friendly, we were disappointed to see that they were very little informed on what was and wasn't vegan on the menu. They kept having to run into the kitchen to ask the chef what the ingredients were. We were also disappointed to verify that there was very little flexibility from the kitchen's end to make something that could suit my cousin's needs. The restaurant is tapas style, so they recommend you order 6 or 7 dishes for a group of 4 people. However, the options don't seem very tapas-friendly and too seems odd to me to split a forkful of spaghetti dripping sauce everywhere. In addition, they don't bring you extra silverware to split the portions, so are we supposed to all eat from the serving platters? The portions are also rather small, which is an additional challenge for sharing. While the food was fine and somewhat inventive, it is expensive for what it is and not that innovative to justify the premium prices. I would maybe come here for brunch or drinks instead?

What makes it special is watching the pastries being handmade right in front of you, which adds a level of freshness and craftsmanship that you can actually taste. The service was super fast and friendly. The pastel de nata came out perfectly, with that delicate flaky crust and warm custard that just hits differently when you know it was made moments ago. The espresso was equally impressive, rich and smooth, and the two together make for a simple but near perfect combination. If you are in the area, this is an easy and very satisfying stop.

The crust was super flaky and the tart was nice and warm out of the oven, but I didn't like the flavor of the custard. I did forget to add cinnamon to the top, but I don't think it would have helped me personally. The woman who stood next to me at the counter had a nearly orgasmic experience next to me, so it's obvious that my taste buds are apparently off. I loved the patience of the server, who got confused when I told her I wanted to eat in but wanted to take water to go. Note to self...Portuguese folks want to have their "to go" as "takeaway." What I also didn't know was that there was no place to sit!! I scooted down the counter just like all the other folks to watch the bakers prep the next gozillion pastries for the day. That was interesting. Then, I didn't know how to bus my dishes. I just left them on the counter like all the other folks and went away. I wouldn't skip going because of my personal taste buds, though. Enjoy it for yourself and let me know if you have a different opinion than I did!
