Had an appointment on Saturday. We called them on Friday afternoon to verify they were still coming. No reply. They texted us on Saturday after the appointment time to say they had a "late night family emergency". Rescheduled for following Saturday. They never showed up or called. We called them and Coralette asked us to hold so she could call her electrician. She hung up on us and never called back. If you're looking for someone who is NOT dependable or professional then this is your company. I would avoid doing business with them. read more

just used O'Henry to finish running a new service entrance. Last year another company buried the conduit and put in place the new meter box, they also had left 10' of conduit and LB box along with 4 wire 4/0 service entrance of more than sufficient length. It should have only been a 2 day job. my experience. 1) they did not always have the proper tools to do the job, I loaned them the right size hole saw for running the conduit into the attic. I also loaned them a few other tools. 2) 1st day they only worked 2 1/2 hours, ran service entrance into attic. they cut the lines in the box, in my estimation, a little short. they ended up having to pull some more into the box. 3) electric was scheduled to be cut off Monday morn. They were not here when the power company came out at 8 so I had to deal with the power company. they showed up 2 hours later. 4) he was going to "pull" the service cable into existing metal conduit he had just cut with no bushing - it would have cut into the wires and made the potential for a dangerous short circuit. After I insisted he "at least replace the metal with PVC conduit, he did but had a major attitude about it. 5) Tuesday evening he was talking about closing "his permit" and leaving me without power and needing a new electrician. He had been unable to get both "hots" into the lug connectors. He said he would need additional money to either "drop the box" or install a new box (expensive). 6) after he left I looked at it and saw he was crossing the main 4/0 wires. I rerouted both of them so they dropped straight down and was able to get them both in place. Wasn't that his job and as a "licensed" electrician shouldn't he have known to do that!!!!! 7) we were without power until noon on Wednesday. We borrowed a generator from a friend Tuesday morning, so we could run the refrigerator and 2 freezers and not lose all of the food in them. some other things that wouldn't have been a big deal if the job had been done right and in time. 1) cussed a lot and around my wife. 2) with the exception of Wednesday, when I made it very clear I expected him by 9, he showed up between 10 and 12. 3) he would leave 2, 3 times each day, and be gone for an hour, to get "parts". HUH, there shouldn't have been much if any need to "get parts". he had already "looked" at the job before starting. so "parts" would have been A) grounding bar with 4/0 lug B) wire to extend the grounds to new bar C) wire nuts D) and maybe some conduit fittings. 4) they tramped all over plants that they could have easily avoided stepping on. So unless it is something simple and non-critical, like relacing outlets or installing a light or fan, I would NOT recommend using him. read more

I hired O'Henrys Electric to hook up the electric from my house to a detached garage. (about 120') I hired him because he looked like he needed help for his company. At first he was always on the job and called when he couldn't make it. We got the rough-in electrical inspection, so all he had to do was hook up the breaker boxes and call for a final inspection. He came by one day and asked for the rest of his money because he needed to pay his rent. He said he'd be back to finish up. I gave him the rest of his money against my better judgement because I felt bad for him. Needless to say he never came back and I had to get a new permit and finish the job. O'Henry Electric was called for several outlets going dead yet no breakers were kicked off. Kenny was the repairman and he did an awesome job of checking things out, very thorough. Turns out that I reversed the Load/Line on a GFI outlet that I had just installed. Anyway, great job and the gave me a military discount. read more

A tree fell on the power line onto our porch pulling the whole pole out of the electric box. He pulled the permit and coordinated with the power company and inspector in a very timely manner. Had us back up and running in no time! read more
