I got a text message (he didn't even bother to call) at 6 the evening before saying that one of his guys had covid and he MIGHT have to cancel. I begged him to please find a way to come as we scheduled this appointment so I would have an outlet for a new fridge that I was having delivered. I also had a couple of lights that needed installing and a switch that needed to be moved along with a light. He said he would keep me updated and would reach out in the morning. Two days later and I have not heard from him. I assume the truth is they found a job that was more beneficial payment wise and decided they could do without my business. This actually worked out for me! The owner Shawn from CNY Electrical took my call and listened to what happened to me and said he would ask one of his guys to come out the following day. CNY Electrical came out this morning and did the same job for $100 cheaper! The work was done exactly the way I wanted it and Jason was amazing! He explained everything he was doing and even guided me in setting up my Ring devices. He was polite and cleaned up after he was completed with the job. I highly recommend this company for any electrical work that needs to be done. I will certainly be calling them when it is time to renovate the downstairs of my home as well as outdoor lighting that I will be installing. I trusted him because he was local and had done a small job previously for a fair rate. Job was NOT an emergency! NYSEG by passed the switch and said was now safe but needed repair. Have had 4 other competent contractors I would called had I not TRUSTED him to be fair and asked for a quote. When contacted after, the highest one said they would have been at $1200 labor at the most. Keller claimed "flat rate". Flat rate maybe for a Master union electrician with 30 years experience in NYC. Not for a bus driver who took a few courses years ago and moonlights as an electrician. Lesson learned - do not trust the local guy to not take advantage of a senior citizen on fixed income.
