I can't believe I'm the first reviewer for this Miami institution. They sell top quality Benjamin Moore paints and all the things you might need to paint anything, from a small piece of furniture to an entire house, inside and out. The professionals go here to get their paints, which is why I first came...I needed to touch up some walls with the same paint that had been used by our painter when he and his crew painted our house. Even if you don't know the color that you need to match, they do an excellent job with matching to the color of a chip. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, professional and all those good things, and the prices are quite reasonable, even if you're not getting a professional discount. After 25 years of buying all our paints at OGee todays experience tells me its about time to change to another Benjamin Moore store. Yesterday I purchased 5 gallons of paint in different colors. This morning when our painter opened one the cans he questioned if we changed the colors we had chosen. The paint they had mixed was not the one we had chosen, so I ran to OGee and then things got ugly. The guy who to help me (seems to be fairly new, I had never seen him before) opens the can and starts to laugh, then calls the one who had sold me the paints and shows him the color, this one I do recognize from working there for at least 15 or 20 years. He tells me the pistons must be bad so the machine mixed the wrong colors, then the man helping me says he will be able to fix the paint, I objected but he still insisted and tried, the result was that what came out looked nothing like the right color. I was upset they both thought their mistake was funny I was sold the wrong paint, and now Im also upset that they pretend for me to take the paint they "fixed". Eventually they had to mix a new gallon for me, and as I requested to have them put a dab of the paint on the lid of the can, the original employee argued "not everybody works the same way", . I feel the professional treatment I have always received from guys like Roberto and others who are no longer there is gone and replaced by employees who think its funny to make mistakes, time for me to move on. read more
