We love Dr. O'Gara, however, his front office staff is rude and did not help accommodate a request we recently had regarding retainer replacement. The unfortunate part is in the past, we spent a lot of money on two sets of braces so we're past patients in good standing. The comment on the phone from rude office person was, "First off, it will cost you $xxx to be seen." Okay, we didn't think it was going to be free. And this person was greeted with "Hello, my name is, past history and condition, so it was shocking to be met with such misplaced rudeness. Long story short, we took our business elsewhere. I have seen Dr. O'Gara for my teeth-straightening since 3rd Grade. He is incredible. I recently visited the office to have a new set of retainers made, as I had misplaced my original ones when I moved a month ago. The office staff is always very quick and considerate, and they had an availability for me to have new impressions of my teeth done. The very next day I picked up my new set of retainers. They had noticed that my teeth had moved slightly, and had set small "reset bubbles" in my retainers that would help move my teeth back to the best alignment. The price was reasonable, as I was a returning customer. I would highly recommend Dr. O'Gara's Orthodontic's office to anyone. The waiting area is a great environment for kids to interact with contest voting and other games to play while they wait. This office is fantastic. They don't normally see kids as young as my daughter but she needed ortho work and they have gone above and beyond to make sure she was comfortable and happy. 'Visited O'Gara Orthodontics for a orthodontic consultation. Originally I was told that the introductory consultation would cost $99 which would be credited towards treatment at their office. I balked at that, and the receptionist asked her manager if she could waive the fee. She was able to waive the fee so I went ahead and got an appointment for the very next day. The office is very nice. It has the feel of a comfortable game room with a nook for arcade games, a big screen TV, a chess/checker game table and comfortable chairs. The accented lighting and colorful walls give it a warm feeling. The staff is really upbeat as well. I was seen by one of the staff (possibly a manager as she had her own office) and not the doctor. She took photos of my teeth with my gums stretched out with special plastic hooks that spread them away from the teeth so you could see them better. Then she compared my crooked teeth to dental models and discussed my orthodontic needs. It became evident that I would need full braces, which would cost in the neighborhood of +\-$7200. She said I'd have to put 20 percent down and I could make payments on the rest which would be about $250 a month. I'm not sure if I got the full introductory exam since I didn't pay the $99... it didn't seem worth $99 to have 4 photos taken and have a staff member tell me I need full braces and go over a payment plan. I'm glad I didn't have to pay for the introductory consultation. I would have felt ripped-off. That is why I gave the office only 3 stars. I will definitely get a second opinion. I am a current patient at O'Gara - Gilbert Orthodontics and I love this place! I had orthodontic treatment as an early teen and lapsed with retainer wear in college (eek!) so I am using clear aligners to make them perfectly straight again. The doctors are extremely knowledgeable and explain their treatment in terms I can wrap my head around. They also don't "over prescribe" and recommend any unnecessary treatment. No pushy sales. The front office staff is so friendly and energetic -- they make you feel like you are the best part of their day! I met both Dr.'s throughout my treatment which was nice + different from other offices. Each assistant is so helpful, welcoming, and happy to be at this place. Dr. Ogara and his staff are extremely professional, thoughtful, friendly and are meticulous with the work and service that they provide. My children are excited to go to the office and see the staff and Dr. Ogara - it's a very welcoming place for kids (and adults) that are in the process of orthodontics, which can be a bit intimidating at any age. This orthodontist office is designed for all age groups from child to adult. The waiting area has a huge tv on the wall, a chess/checker table, two video games for the kids, and a computer that you can use to check your emails, and surf the web with. They even have free coffee and bottles of water. We started by bringing one son here, and Dr. O'Gara did an excellent job getting his crooked smile corrected and his teeth straightened out...all that without putting any braces on too. Excellent work. Brought our second boy in (and still working on his teeth) and in the span of a few months, the crooked teeth that once filled his mouth, now sits an amazing row of straight teeth that we are so happy to see (albeit still covered in braces...but). The staff is very professional and friendly, and we have never had an issue from the moment we stepped into the office several years ago. The first consultation was free and, if needed, they will provide a payment plan to make sure that you can afford to help your child achieve the great smile they deserve. Dr. O'gara is very nice and does a great job, on the other end his staff could use an attitude adjustment. Not happy with attitudes when I go in there. Love a couple of the gals but the others are not willing to show some respect. I have missed three appointments because I was never contacted, and yes I know that is my fault as well but a Dr's office should make it a priority to call.
