So my wife and I are doing an expansive search for a particular color and trim package for an Audi A3. While searching online we found a match at O'Daniel Audi in Fort Wayne Indiana for a really good price. My wife requested price confirmation at the first opportunity during her initial conversation with the dealership. She received a text from a salesman confirming said price and even included a screenshot of the online listing with the pricing displayed.. After spending considerable time cleaning out and photographing my trade-in for appraisal, my wife receives a message stating that the Pricing Is Incorrect. The price changed from $32,000 to get this $46,000 after we had given our card for a $2,000 deposit to hold said car... How this Is Not Bait and Switch I am unaware... Fort Wayne residents Beware.... Of deceptive practices.... Shame shame shame.. O'daniel Audi was dishonest in dealing with my Wife and I. I was prepared to drive 3 hours yesterday. Now here I am stating what seems to me their seemingly deceptive pricing practices. The Better Business Bureau is my next e-mail. This review is for all of Odaniel Auto as I have been in contact with the Ford, Mazda/Automart and the Chrysler/Jeep locations Bought a used truck from Odaniel Ford in Feb '22. It was higher on miles, so I bought a warranty as my family and I have so many times from Odaniel. We have bought well over 12 cars from them, referred many friend and have had our Fords/Mitsubishis serviced there. Mike L and his team have always taken care of us and our vehicles. After buying the car, part of the deal was new TPS sensors as they were removed. They gave it to goodyear Nextdoor and it came back wobbly and unbalanced. Asking Nick the sales manager to fix that was a federal case of how it was so difficult for him and out of his own pocket. No... it was agreed upon before selling me the truck. Then a belt needed to be replaced 2 weeks after purchase. The Ford shop handled that. I paid 300 for that April, the check engine light turned on. Took it to Ford, they referred me to Automart to read the code and do the repair. They tore it apart, it was an issue with the camshaft sending metal into the engine. No problem, we have the warranty. Warranty guy said it was in spec, nothing they could do, charged me for the full amount of nothing being done. They did right and only charged me what the warranty fee would have been. 100 dollars Few months later, car doesn't start because the security module is out. 700 dollars November, throttle body goes out. Oh and that's not under the warranty because the guy checked the wrong warranty box and gave me the basic. So I'm SOL. They up charge me on new plugs and wires, something that is part of their "inspection" when buying it. Apparently, they were "damn near original" 1000 dollars. Ok - 2100 dollars later, my check engine light comes on after I took to back because the throttle body was not calibrated and was accelerating at an alarming rate while I was not on the throttle. They send it to DeHaven Chevrolet - great experience with them. Check engine light is due to the camshaft issue from April. They got the warranty company to cover it and I got a new engine. Wow - they didn't sell me the warranty but they made it happen. Jesse from service pretends to be on your side and does not help - zero stars Dan Ringenberg - finance director - tried to help and paid the diagnostic fee for DeHaven. But didn't offer me any other appeasement. Keep in mind, I haven't had my truck for 2 months now. 2 stars. Nick and the sales team at Odaniel Ford - 3 stars - at least gave me a loaner car during repairs there. Will not recommend again - will not get repairs done at any location - don't care that I go to them for repairs and maintenance since I was 16 (now 33), not to mention my other siblings and my parents. Went and looked at used Jeep, drove it around the block and looked over the entire vehicle. Turns out the hardtop seal was leaking water onto the floor, the carpets and lower cloth seats all damp from the water. The vehicle overall was in decent shape probably 7.5/10. In the short term it needed new tires and hardtop seal fixed. There were other smaller problems like paint chips, faded plastic pieces and the slightest bit of surface rust on the frame. This specific Jeep has been sittting on the lot 23+ days, not sure the exact amount, but I had been keeping tabs on this specific vehicle. They had the car listed at 25k, KBB had it between $21,500-23,000, it did have about a 3 in lift, but other than that pretty much stock. I've also been looking at Jeep's for the previous 2-3 months test driving 5 in the last week, and looked at well over 200 online. After driving it around the block, and taking into consideration the things that needed to be corrected I offered 22k cash + taxes and fees, and I'd take care everything that needed fixed. The sales guy while making comments "were never going to go for that, if you ever see a car for that price buy it" under his breath. He walked out of the office and brought the sales manager in, who proceeded to say "yeah your f***ing crazy if you think we are going to sell it for that". Among many other comments takes the offer that was written on a piece of paper folds it up and throws it in the trash. At this point he calls me crazy, (I was waiting for the counter offer) he says this has been though a 121 point inspection and it's good to go not a spec of rust and it's a clean car. I asked about the door seal in the inspection and that really got him fired up. He was trying to impress upon me that he's sold jeeps for 30 years and I was crazy for even offering that. He then brought up they got the Jeep on trade and had $25,500 in it already and were selling it for a loss. After he said a few more condescending statements he walked out. I didn't get the chance to say how great of a salesmanger he was for buying it at that price and still had stuff to fix to make it sellable. The salesman makes a few other comments such as "I'll keep looking and if we get one that's older and has a few more miles I'll let you know". I just walked out. I was very shocked at how terrible the customer service was, both the sales guy and manager. read more

Nothing but an absolutely horrible experience with these people. They disappear when there is a problem, and do nothing to try to help their customers out. Their follow-through and professionalism is horrible. My son bought a high-mileage used car "as-is" from them in November of 2014. The salesguy, Wade Stuckey, went on and on about how he wanted our business for life and "would definitely be there if we had any problems". We thought Wade was a nice guy and believed his claims. The motor failed in mid-January, approximately 2 1/2 months later, as my son was driving to work. We had it towed and learned that the engine needed to be replaced. A few days later, the dealership called to try to sell us the 90-day maintenance, and I let the guy on the phone know that the engine had failed and that we'd like a call from Wade. We never received a call. My son finally got a text from Wade in mid-February, three weeks later, saying "as-is, so you're out of luck". Wade then sent several texts promising to call my son the next day, but never followed through with a phone call. At that point, I left them a negative review on their dealer review website (which, by the way, is a total scam. They can buy their way out of having negative reviews posted on the salesperson's page) and on CL. I got a response from Julie Kimes, their "Sales Manager", who rather indignantly and unprofessionally explained to me that I should have been more empathetic and patient since Wade was going through some family problems. I'm not sure how I would have known that since he never contacted us, and apparently nobody at the dealership was checking his emails or voicemails. I explained to Julie that we weren't looking for a warranty on an "as-is" car, just some help or a discount on the repairs, but by the time they responded to us, the car was already in the process of getting a new motor. After several days of back-and-forth with Julie, during which she twice claimed that she "called but got the machine", when there were no missed calls on our caller ID, she also disappeared and stopped returning emails. I can live with an "as-is" car failing when we took the risk of buying it "as-is". What is entirely unacceptable is a salesguy and a Sales Manager who don't communicate or follow through when there is a problem. There are lots of better dealerships and salespeople in Fort Wayne. If I could have, I wouldn't even give this dealership a star not even a half star. They sold my girl a 2011 Equinox and their has been so much wrong with the car. 1st month we had the hub assembly snap on us and they quoted us $546, I went somewhere else and got it for $300 and didn't have to pay that company $100 to look at it! Then the car kept shutting off and on and they looked at it and costed us another $100 and said it needed a oil change. Then now we find out that their was metal shavings in our oil which they have been the only company to do a oil change for us which caused us to have a bad motor now being told a warranty we purchased is going to cost us a additional $3,000 for a motor this company sucks and this company will get you for your money. Not a very respectable company or a trustworthy company! Save your time and go somewheres else read more
