Run, don't walk, away from here…read more I took my car in for a check engine light issue. Initially I went to a nearby Auto Zone to have them run a test for the code. The results showed a proable thermostat issue. In March, Meineke flushed and replaced my coolant, so I was very concerned about whether they actually checked the whole cooling system. I was also concerned that this location caught the issue back in March and didn't tell me because they wanted me to come back again and give them more money. I also had my water pump replaced here in March. I talked to Tammy and asked her to pull up my past inspection results so I could see if they checked the thermostat or not, and if they did, what the notes said. I could not find my physical copies and the email links from March no longer pulled up notes. So I thought, "They'll be able to go over those notes with me and we can have a discussion about where to go from there." Instead, Tammy said, "We don't keep those in our system." I said that that is false because other employees have gone over results and notes with me in the past. She said, "All I can show you are payment confirmation documents." Huge red flag. The results indeed showed a thermostat issue, as well as an engine turbo issue. As far as the engine turbo thing, fair enough. But a thermostat in the system they worked on just 3 months ago? I can't believe that a part that supposedly had zero problems back in March completely failed and needed replacing just 3 months later. That's why I wanted to see the notes in the first place. Why would a business lie to anyone about that? My total bill was $832.22. When I went to pick up my car, Nathan, one of the mechanics, kept saying there was a 3% card fee if I paid with my debit card. I already knew about the fee; I don't know why he kept mentioning it. Why would I get hundreds My mom was there to make sure everything went OK because I told her about my concerns regarding Tammy. When my mom heard Nathan talk about the fee, she said, "Wait, you expect your customers to pay that?" Nathan laughed at her. Actually laughed at her. I sent an email to this Meineke's direct email and also to corporate customer service about my experience. I asked for a refund for the check diagnostic test and the thermostat replacement. Tammy called me and insisted that she did show me all the inspection notes I asked for. She even said, "Our cameras will show that I did go over those with you." She insisted that the part I had replaced was not something found to be an issue back in March, and then she read notes from the mechanic(s) who looked at my car back in March. I said, "Oh, so the notes DO exist!" A refund was not offered and I told Tammy there is something very wrong going on at that Meineke. The dishonesty, arrogance, and suspicious behavior at this location is out of control. I am considering contacting the BBB for help getting a refund.

This establishment is set up to take as much of you money as possible. The woman manning the front…read moredesk is well trained on this task. She seems to specialize in taking advantage of the ignorant and desperate. My wife's car would not start so she had AAA towed it to this establishment because it was right next to the Wendy's where this happened. All it needed was a new battery, but they told her that her fuel pump blew a fuse and her key fob didn't work (quite a coincidence). I brought her the other key fob and they said we'd have to come back tomorrow. I walked to the cr (which already had the new battery installed), turned the key and the car started right away. Seeing this, the front desk whom literally ran back to the store to get my wife to approve and sign off on $315.76 of charges before I could get back to the front office (I had to wait for the mechanic to put the engine cover back on). The Diehard battery they sold her for $219.99 is listed online for $115.99. to which they added $49.60 for battery installation and another $21.57 in "Fees", which were not specified anywhere on the receipt. I feel they took advantage of a senior woman who knows nothing about cars and new the car was towed into the shop so she was feeling pretty helpless. Having paid more then twice what we should have, I would recommend steering clear of this establishment.
