I purchased My 2026 Chevy traverse on January 22, 2026. The dealership has had my car for about six weeks and still has not fixed the issue. My car smell smells like antifreeze every time I drive it, My rear hatch does not open when you hit the button, When you shut the car off, it makes a gurgling rattling noise and they said that that's normal. There has been numerous issues with this car and they refuse to fix it. They even told GM that there was nothing wrong with it. I have had issues with this car from day one. I definitely do not recommend this company. read more

Jim Schmidt Chevrolet - Auto Repair Near Me - Hicksville, Ohio

First time I ever bought a vehicle online. Worked with Dustin Patrick everything went great. I received a better than expected vehicle delivered to my door. Paperwork went smoothly. I would buy again from this dealership in a heartbeat. Thanks for everything Dan H. Kalamazoo read more

With good workmanship increasing difficult to find these days, I am pleasantly satisfied to see that Jim Schmidt in Delphos Ohio has acquired some seasoned talent. We recently had an engine put in a 2016 Cruze, only because of an oil leak coming from the head gasket and not in a position for a new car. After a couple hiccups, one small coolant leak and oil pan leak that wasn't sealed properly from the manufacturer. Both were addressed and fixed properly all while providing transportation, so our son could get to work. Special thanks to Carl and Dustin for expediting the repairs and making sure we were good to go for 100k miles and 3 years on the engine. read more

Had the absolute displeasure of having to deal with Wade on a vehicle purchase. Can't tell if he is incompetent or just the worst salesperson in the history of mankind. Either way, it would probably be best for the dealership owner to get him out of their dealership before he further sullies their reputation. I will never deal with this dealership again just based on the experience that I had with Wade. read more

They sold my mom a lemon. She has had the car since June and it's had multiple problems. The most recent being a rear differential. She only paid $7,500 since that's all she could afford and the rear differential will cost $3,000-4,000. Way to put somebody living on social security in a ridiculous situation. You can fix this by buying your car back and putting her in something better that you know isn't a lemon. read more

I never thought I would say this, but I found an amazing dealership. My husband was in search of a dually truck, and found one on Autotrader. The only problem was that it was 2,100 miles away from us. So, I called up this dealership and spoke with Al. We were able to complete the deal within minutes. Al did everything (set up shipping, invoicing, etc). Well, we ended up having a shipping issue since nobody wanted to ship a dually. So, we ended up flying a friend to an airport 2 hours away from the dealer. Al and Rudy (the manager) offered to send one of their drivers to pick up our friend from the airport. They are absolutely amazing. Lastly, there is really no need to haggle with this dealership. Their prices really are rock bottom. Apparently, they use a program that will ensure their prices are lower than any other dealership in the United States. Although they are 2,100 miles away from me, this is the ONLY place I will ever buy a car (and that's saying a lot since I go through cars every 2-3 years and have dealt with numerous dealerships). Thanks Al and Rudy!!! You guys rock! read more

I have purchased many vehicles from Jim Schmidt but have really never been able to take advantage of their service department. Since we moved, it's more convenient so I scheduled an oil change and WOW I was impressed. I was able to drop it off, get a loaner car, and pick it up after I was done working. They treated me fantastic. The loaner was started and warmed up! It was a NEW car, not a well used car. It was all around a very nice experience. Rudy was our salesman this time and I felt he took good care of us. Kim did a fantastic job before too. read more

I never thought that I would be writing a positive review for a car dealership, but this place is different than any dealership I've ever been to. We did lots of research before buying a car and had gone to a few dealerships prior and we were treated like garbage. We had almost given up and found the exact car we wanted on their website. We made an appointment, but didn't get our hopes up that anything would actually come out of it. When we got there the car was already warmed up and waiting on us to get in and test drive. After our test drive we decided we liked the car and they took the time (past their closing time too) and gave us the exact deal we were looking for without having to haggle or argue. We were given the BEST customer service experience EVER! I have and will recommend them to everybody I know. read more

I am not a 5 star person, but I have to say that this dealership is the best car buying experience we've ever had. Every step of the way, we weren't pressured, all information regarding the vehicle and the transaction was clearly explained. The smoothest experience we've ever had when purchasing a vehicle. read more

We live in Oklahoma and looked all over the country for a particular 2014 Chevy Impala. We found one exactly like we wanted at a very good price on Car Gurus at Jim Schmidt Chevrolet. We talked numerous times with Cody Rice and he was very good at answering all our questions, sending numerous pictures, returned phone calls/requests promptly and he was very patient with us for nearly two weeks until we finally sealed the deal (had been dealing with a local dealership and were getting nowhere). Every person we talked to was friendly and helpful, every time. We were going to have it shipped but their location is off the beaten path so we had trouble getting a hauler to pick it up for delivery. So, we decided to fly out there and get it ourselves and make an adventure out of it. Best decision we ever made! Dave was waiting at the Ft Wayne, IN airport when we stepped off the plane. He is an absolute gem. He drove us to Hicksville in a nice vehicle, told us all about the area, knew we would be hungry so he stopped for us to eat lunch and even paid! We got to the dealership and the car was sitting spotless, exactly as described without one blemish and all the paper work ready. Rudy was friendly and prompt completing the transaction. They had set us up with an OnStar trial, two keychain flashlights,4 ballpoint pens, a fresh oil change and a full tank of gas to start our journey home. They even reset the trip meter! We had a 1210 mile test drive via Nashville and the car was an absolute dream--even better than I anticipated! It was exactly what they said it would be, and more. They went above and beyond for us and made it a fantastic experience. This is our 5th out of state vehicle purchase and by far the best EVER. We have been on the complete opposite end of the spectrum for internet purchases which make us appreciate everyone at Jim Schmidt even more. I LOVE Impala's and trade cars every 3 years. I would do business with them again in a heartbeat--even if they are 900 miles away! They are THAT good! Next time we will allow time to stay in Hicksville longer, the community is like one big family. Dave said their goal isn't to make money, it's to make a living and I believe that. P.S They have the Ford dealership too for you Ford folks! read more
