O. D. Kenney's is both an Auto Supply and a Hardware Store! Employees are knowledgeable and friendly. Ask for an item and they walk with you to make sure you get what you really need. They are great "Southern Engineers" for those unusual custom projects. I've never been disappointed! No chain-store mentality here....just a well run family business! read more

I was extraordinarily lucky to find this place. I was in Slaton doing some business, and I stopped at O.D. Kenney's to get directions. I went inside and talked to the friendly cashier, a young man. The shop was wonderful with high ceilings and walls from floor to ceiling covered with machine parts, tools, everything you can imagine. And it had that wonderful smell that you only get in a store with machines, oil, tools, you get it. Not 10 minutes later I was at another business in Slaton when the awning on my RV slid all the way out and would not retract. This had happened before, and I knew what to do about it but you really need two people to push the thing back up and tie it with rope. I spent 30 minutes on the phone with Geico's roadside assistance who finally said I would have to pay out of pocket and then connected me to a car towing service in Lubbock, over 15 miles away. I finally just rang off, realizing if I was going to get help I needed someone nearby. I walked back to O.D. Kenney's and told them I needed 2 guys, a ladder, and some rope. They came right away, no questions, no weird looks. Within minutes we had the awning back up and tied back with some really strong plastic zip ties. The charge? $9.06 for the zip ties. They would not take any more money than that! I know where to go if I have any auto parts to buy from now on. read more
