My sister is tough she can handle it her pool had North pole water! PROS: 1) Open 24 hrs so its convenient 2) Ample parking 3) New gym machines 4) Steam room ( LA Fitness closed theirs reportedly after a guest got really hurt) 5) Olympic size pool but if you are a dog paddler like I am, it's not a plus bc it's really deep. 6) Everything in 24 hrs Fitness is on the same floor, LA Fitness pool is in the basement, 20 deep steps, I fell 18 steps on a cruise ship and got nervous walking up and down their stairs that looked scary like the metro down in middle earth! in London. . They should have an elevator as I'm not the only one scared to death. 7) Jacuzzi next to pool so you can jump in cold water than hot jacuzzi CONS: 1) As mentioned above, icy cold pool water, my husband caught a cold after swimming too long. 2) All their GYM machines are huge, made for gym rats, lol ! you gotta be at least 5ft to operate safely and comfortably, I'm a midget so I have difficulty even using their elliptical that's why I have not come here for a long time. 3) Since President Trump came back, LA Fitness had a renovation and all their showers are now almost 100% full strength, I was very annoyed today in 24 hrs fitness, Biden forced people to turn showers into a trickle, it's pennywise pound foolish, where is the saving? People just run the showers longer as it took forever to wash your hair. My sister swims like a fish, she had an Olympic size pool in her house in SF before moving to Socal, she has no pool now, she wanted to trade up to a house w pool but in HB and HB harbor the $2.4 million house sold in 4 hours right after open house, she would rate all 24 hrs fitness 5 stars for the Olympic size pool and open 24 hours just for these 2 features so if you are a mermaid like my sister, this gym is 5 stars! Since there are 7 pros and only 3 cons why do I rate this only 2 stars you may ask, well today the pool water was murky, it was dangerous for immunocompromised people as it was obviously polluted, what were they thinking, I did not go in, my husband swam for about 10 min I had to extract him out of there as I did not want him to catch any bacteria, virus before our long trip. The Jacuzzi was very clean, it probably just had new water. I would have rated it at least 3 stars but my husband told me the showers were really dirty like not cleaned properly in a long time, 2 stars are actually fair bc the shower I was in it had scalding hot water, I had to run all wet to another shower that had working shower to get warm not hot water. I assume this was a one off but I was very disappointed what could possibly go wrong? I told the guy at the desk, the poor young man, he was nice but he was really upset, it was not his fault I told him so, he just worked there but he should be made aware so he can tell the manager, he said the gym was cleaned every day, well if that is the case, YOU NEED A NEW HOUSEKEEPER. Been working out at Curl for over a year and a half, and it's my favorite gym I've ever been a…read moremember with. The facility is so clean and they do a good job maintaining equipment. There are enough machines that even when it's busy I am still able to complete my workout without issue. I've been doing training with my personal trainer, Evelin, for the entire time I've been a member. She's very kind and encouraging and has taught me so much about working out. While I've struggled with my weight (eating) she has been supportive and always gives me help with nutrition. She's a big reason why I am so loyal to Curl Fitness Westminster. Other staff I want to shout out include the manager Eric, who has helped me with account/payment matters multiple times and is always very helpful and friendly. Gama is approachable and always has a welcoming smile on his face. Johnny is very knowledgeable about weight loss and nutrition. Finally, Steven does an excellent job at maintaining a clean facility. Honestly all their staff is great! As far as the clientele who come, I never have any issues with people being rude or not sharing equipment or making a mess. Everyone who works out here seems to be chill and they respect others (not true for many gyms!).
