(BTW--he did not give condolences or anything of that nature.) I asked to get on a 3-way call with the town because the town had told me we get it from the funeral home. The owner said "no" twice and proceeded to hang-up on me. These people are in the wrong business!!

My step dad passed away on a cold winters night in 1995 after a long illness. After a hospice nurse confirmed his death, Douglas Funeral home was the next place we called. Within an hour, in the middle of a cold, snow blown winters night, they came and took dad away. From that point on they were very understanding and patient. They handled everything and were great. I'm sure it's fine when you know where you're going and what you're looking for, but I got lost a couple of times and very nearly gave up. They could do well to post section numbers at the intersections to make it easier for new visitors to find their way. That said, this is a lovely cemetery. The grounds are very well maintained and the stones are in good condition. I saw no vandalism and no damage, which is great. The roadways are in good shape as well. I live close by this cemetery and go there often to visit my grandmother and great grandmother…read more The cemetery itself is huge! The staff does a great job maintaining the grave sites as well. I planted some asta there forever ago and it's still alive and strong. It's a great place to walk and go on bike rides as well. Lots of hills and roads and beautiful tombstones to look at. It's a very peaceful place.
