Luckily my aunt's co-worker alerted us quickly when they saw the error, so we were able to get it fixed before the newspaper printing, but it took a long time for Masslive.com to be fixed. To this day, 7 months later, my name shows up on the Google search link to her online obituary. Obviously more people now look at online obituaries more than newspaper these days. For my name to be listed instead of my mother's was awful and upsetting - and we barely got a casual apology for this mistake. The person we met with for a pre-planning meeting was professional and well-prepared, but working with a second man for the actual planning, he was difficult to follow. He spoke very quickly and jumped from topic to topic quickly - so quickly that he forgot to mention prayer cards, so we had to go back there making a separate trip to pick those out. I think this behavior is what led to the mistake - he admitted that it was a copy and paste error - so I hope they take a little more time with their grieving clients in the future and thoroughly check things over.

They were awesome right out the gate asking us what we wanted and not telling us how they were going to do things. After hearing us out they suggested a 'day porter' that instead of coming in the evenings to clean our area and tying up an employee after hours to keep the building open for the cleaning crew, a dreaded task, we now have a dedicated person that cleans and maintains our space all day long and heads out with the rest of us. I hired him to handle some electrical work in my home, but it turned out to be a complete disaster. I strongly advise against hiring him for any electrical services. Here's why: 1. Lack of professionalism: From the beginning, Jose Nieves displayed a complete lack of professionalism. He repeatedly failed to honor his commitments and showed a lack of respect for my time and concerns. It was evident that he prioritized other things over my urgent electrical issues. 2. Unsafe workmanship: The most alarming aspect of my experience was the unsafe and shoddy workmanship by Jose Nieves. He connected neutrals and left live wires hanging out of boxes without conducting proper checks. I expressed my concerns about the safety of my children, but he disregarded them completely. It is absolutely unacceptable to leave a house in such a hazardous state. 3. Failure to complete the job: Despite multiple reminders and promises to finish the work, Jose Nieves never followed through. He ignored my calls and texts, leaving me in a state of uncertainty and frustration. Eventually, I had to cancel the check (which I had paid in full before work started), realizing that relying on him would never result in a satisfactory outcome. 4. Threats and unprofessional behavior: To make matters worse, Jose Nieves resorted to threats and unprofessional behavior when confronted with his subpar work. Financial and time loss: As a result of Jose Nieves's incompetence, I had to seek the services of another electrician, to fix the issues. This resulted in additional expenses and unnecessary delays in completing the job. It's clear that Jose Nieves's lack of professionalism and unsafe practices cost me both financially and in terms of wasted time. In conclusion, my experience with Jose Nieves Electrical was an absolute nightmare. I had a problem in my 3 family in Worcester. Flickering lights and touchy circuit breakers in the 2…read morepanels that serviced the basement. I called Nieves Electric and they were able to fit me in that afternoon, on a Tuesday. Friday was the other option. Jose Nieves is a Master Electrician, and has nearly a dozen associates who can be called in to cover any job. He took the panel covers off and pointed out some loose circuit breakers, tightened the screws on a number of them. As he was putting the panel cover on the right hand box, the 100 Amp switch sparked. Suddenly this was a very serious situation. He shut off the power to the basement and got on the phone to have an associate come in. While he travels with inventory, he had make a run to get 2 panel boxes to replace the bad ones. As you can imagine, an old 3 decker has tons of wires in it. It took a few hours to get everything taken apart, replaced, fixed, tested and okay for service. I was so grateful I suggested I would take care of the pieces of wire and old panel boxes, and recycle the cardboard boxes that held new panels, but Jose and associate swept and cleaned up, without leaving any trace of the hard work from doing the installation of new panels. I cannot say enough about how much I appreciate Nieves Electric. Without the new panels there could have been a fire or further damage. I recommend them highly. Jose is a good guy and I trusted his assessment of what was needed, and the quality of his work.
