Craig has the perfect demeanor for a funeral director. He is not only respectful and dignified, but also warm, kind, and compassionate. The way he handled every detail made us feel truly cared for - we didn't have to worry about anything. He gave us the information we needed at the exact moment we needed it - where to stand, where to walk, what to do, and what to expect. He even gestured silently to us in the church so that we knew all we had to do was look at him and he was right there to guide us. We know that this is what funeral directors do, but not all of them are as attentive. Craig guided us through our most difficult family time so carefully and thoughtfully that all the details fell perfectly into place. We were also impressed with the clear communication that transpired before, during, and after the entire process. Whenever we called (which was often), we received timely responses. He answered all of our questions - including ones that some consider 'taboo' to be curious about. Having never needing to be the one to directly handle a life changing event like the passing of our…read morefather, Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel made us "feel like family" and walked us through the steps while allowing time as needed when it became very difficult to handle both the passing and handling of the funeral. Mr. Michael Farrow explained every step of the process, service selection, and even gave us options for the Mercy Meal after the service. If was if if he knew my father and the care and respect showed was greatly appreciated. Michael also helped us schedule the services as to not impact the family due to other services scheduled around the same time. Our father looked amazing and at peace, they did an amazing job--everyone was impressed. We were never rushed. We were able to make changes during the process as well with no issues or questions. Mercadante's also has kept in touch after the services were completed, this was not expected; yet welcomed as it has been helping us during the healing process. They also handled all the paperwork for his certificate of death, social security, etc. Everyone was professional, caring, and understanding--as I stated, they treated us like "family" from start to finish. They said my husband was meaty so there would be plenty of ashes!!!they had empty tissues boxes the day of his wake, the screwed up his death certificate in 2 spots, they put his ashes in the incorrect scatter urns, they removed cards from flower arrangements as we went to take them home. They called me someone else name when they called me to make funeral arrangements and said they were scattered from several funerals. Wow. Really WOW. I'm was scattered from losing the love of my life unexpected from a heart attack. And I'm supposed to be focused and double check their work. Incompetent I how no one ever has to go thru what I went thru with them. And they never apologized for their mistakes and shortcomings. Hard to believe they would treat us like they did in the worst days of my our lives. .

HORRIBLE! Recently my mother passed away and before she…read morepassed, she made her funeral arrangements and advised myself on what she wanted during her services. After she passed I was working with someone at the Northbridge location to put her services in motion. During this setup time, Jackman informed me that a friend of my mothers had called them (an hour after TOD) with concern about her service dates, stating certain dates wouldn't work for the services because it was her daughters wedding. What friend would call the funeral home and family members advising which dates wouldn't work for them? Then the funeral home tells me to keep that in mind when selecting the dates. So, We agreed on a date and was told to send over a picture for her obituary. While waiting for a return call, I advised family and friends near and far about her service date and times. I did not hear from Jackman the rest of the day as promised. That evening someone on social media advised me the dates had been changed. I advised that it must have been a mistake. NOPE! Jackman Funeral Home let my drug addict brother walk in and change the whole service arrangements without even calling to confirm with myself and the rest of the family. Needless to say my phone has been ringing off the hook with complaints and demands of refunds for plane tickets and gas money from people who traveled hours to come to my mother's services. I tried several times to reach management by phone and email. I did get a response via email days later stating " After we spoke I spoke with your brother who explained to me that you told him to handle mom's arrangements. After he spoke with your grandfather they collectively decided the **th was best. It was very important to mom to have her ashes present at her service, thus making the decision easier for the family.I was also under the impression he was going to speak with you last night. I feel badly but the arrangements have been made of the **th and it's now going to be in this weeks paper. I sent you a copy of mom's obituary yesterday for input and corrections. I take it that email didn't reach you? If you'd like to call me I'm here. Again, I'm sorry for the confusion." None of this information was true. She took his word over mine and disregarded my feelings and the law at this very difficult time. I had already warned them of issues with my brother and I was her legal proxy. I am still getting calls regarding this matter when I should be greiving for my mother. And no I never received any email regarding her obituary, and I had no say in what was written. Awful just awful. I would never use these guys again. Seriously awful. They didn't care and they have not tried to rectify any of this. Just a sorry for the confusion?

We asked if we could have calling hours for a $15k funeral between 3-5p and she had the audacity to say "well that would mean I'd need to stay late". She had zero respect nor empathy. To top it off the building is in rough shape- the carpets are gross. I'd HIGHLY suggest looking for another establishment to help guide you through this taxing time- there are plenty of better funeral homes in the near vicinity with better facilities, customer service, and pricing.
