My brother passed away on 02/15/26 I was estranged from him…read more When I learned he passed, I helped my niece with the arrangements. She lives upstate NY, I live in Nassau County. Everything took way too long to be taken care of. From the time he was brought from the ME office, to being notified that his body was picked up and the cremation was complete. I was NOT notified where to pick up his ashes. Then I was finally told, St James! It was supposed to be a funeral home in Freeport(much closer to where I live) Then I was NOT notified about the additional 4% charge for paying with my credit card. 5 death certificates were ordered. Neither my niece or myself have received any to date! This was paid in full, one month after his actual date of death on 03/15/26 Today is 04/13/26 another month has passed. No accounts can be taken care of without a death certificate! This is extremely unprofessional and I would never recommend the business to anyone

Ode to life and love, in the end we are all equal!…read more Thank you to the fundamental principles of human existence and dignity that this funeral home offered to the services of a loved individual. I'm sure all people feel their loved one needs to be protected and respected. We were so happy with the results they extended to our family . We definitely decided to cremate our beloved Mary Lou. All of our expectations were met and fulfilled. Thank you again. The process of losing someone is very difficult. We are at peace and your support was appreciated!

It's been almost two years since my father, A. Webster (April 2024), passed away, and I can still…read morerecall the kindness I was shown while making his arrangements. We had talked in the past about what he thought he wanted, but after a long conversation he decided on a direct burial -- "no fuss, no muss," as he always said. Everyone went out of their way for us. One man in particular -- who himself passed away months later -- made sure the details I provided were perfect. He wore his cap, treated my father with dignity, and was kind enough to place some of my cat's ashes in my father's hands. When I saw my dad two days later, dressed as best as they could in one of his favorite outfits, he looked like he was simply taking a nap. I even made a comment about the florist -- I had asked for one arrangement and they sent something completely wrong, but that was on them, not the funeral home. They closed the lid, and off we went -- just my husband and me in the limo. When we arrived, the Director read a beautiful poem and made sure I was safe walking on the ground, which was still soft from a week of rain. Even on the ride back, he checked on me, got me to chuckle, and made sure I wasn't alone in the heaviness of the moment. When we returned, I handled the last few things that needed to be done. Within a day or two, I had the certificates in hand, and we shook hands. It was perfect. Everyone I've known who has been in their care has been treated personally and with such attention that I am confident, when my time comes, I want them to take care of me as well. I know it will be done just right.

My mother in-law passed away back in June 2023 and we were informed that this was the funeral home…read morethat whe was going to be laid to rest from. When I called to find out the arrangements the lady on the phone said the funeral director we ould call me back, of course he never did. Two days ago on 11/13/2023 I called Forrester Funeral Home again to find out how we have my mother in-laws name added to the headstone. The lady who answered the phone took all my information and promised the funeral director would call us back the same day. Of course no phone call was ever made. This was my wifes mother and even though the funeral home know this they kept all information private. This funeral home is a disgrace. How do you keep information private from a DAUGHTER????? We have been informed that the funeral home has nothing to do with adding name to headstone. That does not however explain how RUDE they were when my wifes MOTHER passed away. Extremely unprofessional and does not deserve to be in the funeral business. I can't believe this funeral home actually called the two sisters and asked them to call us to remove this factual information. Forrester funeral home didn't even have the common curtisy to return our phone call. Absolutely disgraceful.
