He prescribed me 10 days of antibiotics, and at 5 days my abdomen was still swollen, my skin was still yellow, and I was experiencing intense itching all over my body, so I called the aftercare line to inquire whether I should come back in; I was dismissively told to discontinue the antibiotics and take Benadryl (which I'd already explained hadn't helped the previous night when the itching started), and that I'd have to go in and see another doctor if I wanted to speak to a clinician for a second opinion. At that second appointment, Dr. Strochkov took one look at me and said, "You have jaundice and your liver is swollen, GO TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM NOW." I did, and they admitted me immediately - I had hepatitis A. Thank you to Dr. Strochkov for catching this and a very hearty f*** you to everyone else employed at this practice.

I went to this CityMD Urgent Care around 2:15, and left by 3:00. The nurse and doctor who treated me were both so kind, and made me feel comfortable despite me being rather sick with a fever. Would definitely recommend!!

I also witnessed what appeared to be individuals performing duties they may not have been properly licensed or credentialed to perform, which raises serious safety concerns. Additionally, I found some staff members to be rude and dismissive, which further added to my discomfort. As someone who works in the healthcare field and holds a professional license, I take standards of care very seriously. As per management their just as worse! I strongly encourage anyone considering this facility to thoroughly research their options. Based on my experience, I would recommend looking elsewhere for care.

She insisted and in the end stated "she wont be back, LOL." The center is just ran strictly unprofessional. The front desk young lady has an attitude issue and had multiple smoke breaks while she's working. The wait times are crazy but the facility did appear clean. I regrettably had to use the restroom and was scurred of the condition but surprisingly it was very clean (that's the extra star). Unfortunately they allow random people on the streets to use the restroom including the drug dealers outside of the facility. OMG, the amount of "activity" right outside the facility was scary and just ridiculous. My mom stated one of the medical staff in the back just started talking to a guy who just walked in from the streets like they were doing side business. LOL. There were a lot of people coming in to take the COVID test or just get their results. Thankfully in the end, my mom was able to get some prescription to help her condition. I like the fact that there's a medical center in the community but this is one I wont be taking my mom to EVER again.

TOOK MY SICK CHILD HERE AND WAS TOLD I NEEDED TO CHANGE HER PRIMARY CARE DOCTOR TO THE DOCTOR AT URGENT CARE IN ORDER TO BE SEEN OR PAY OUT OF POCKET $150 ON A SATURDAY!!. TRISHAWN or whatever the girl name is at Church Ave location told me that if I took my child to the BROADWAY location that her insurance was in network and I would not have to pay out of pocket! I paid $30 from Church Ave to Broadway in a Uber ..and when I got to BROADWAY.. the girl at Church Ave lied to her coworkers and said she did not tell me that. I have witness that she told me to go to the next location and my child would be in network... long story short I paid $150 for her to be seen and could not even get her rx sent electronically.. doctor wrote out 2 prescriptions.. one for allergies and I do not understand why she needed allergy medication if she has strep throat! I WILL BE REPORTING THIS COMPANY FOR THE SCAM THAT IS BEING RAN WITH THIS BUSINESS! HOW CAN THIS BE URGENT CARE AND THEY WANT ME TO SWITCH MY CHILD PRIMARY DOCTOR?! ALSO MONICA at the Broadway location told me if I didn't want to be there I can get my money back and leave with my child! the LACK of empathy for a sick child who was having a severe tantrum because she is autistic was very upsetting as a parent! overall experience was HORRIBLE!! BEFORE COMING TO THIS PLACE I CALLED NUMEROUS TIMES.. no one answered the phone. I checked in online and thought someone would call me back like the website stated but NO ONE CALLED. If I had known I was going to waste time with a sick child in the cold and waste money today... I would have took her elsewhere!

He's usually open every day until around 7, but due to one of the Jewish holidays, he was closed. I say all this because I've had bad experiences at other urgent cares before. They'd tell me to grab something over the counter or "follow up with your PCP," and I'd end up wasting a $30-$40 copay for advice I'd already tried. This visit was completely different. The check-in process was quick, the wait time was reasonable, and the front desk staff was genuinely kind and attentive. NP Tammy was incredible she made me feel seen, heard, and cared for. Her bedside manner was so comforting, and the level of care felt just like seeing my regular PCP. If you're looking for an urgent care that actually listens, provides real treatment, and won't make you feel rushed, I highly recommend this location!

More Like CityPA: Disappointing, Incomplete, and a Waste of Time…read more I went to CityMD Park Slope and checked in using the QR code. That part was smooth and efficient. Unfortunately, everything after that fell short. The Medical Assistant who brought me in barely engaged with me--no warmth, no empathy, and just completely dead in tone and demeanor. She said, "The doctor will be right in," but instead a Physician Assistant came in, with no explanation or clarification. That was misleading. The PA, a male provider, was courteous but not thorough. He quickly flashed a light in my mouth, didn't use a tongue depressor, and didn't perform a proper examination. He didn't check my ears, eyes, or mouth properly. Despite that, he prescribed antibiotics without verifying whether my illness was bacterial. They swabbed me for strep which was negative and sent out a throat culture. What would have also been helpful is to rule out a viral infection, so a respiratory PCR panel should have also been ordered. That way if it came back positive, I would not needlessly start antibiotics that would not work. My illness turned out to be viral, so the antibiotics were not only unnecessary but also completely ineffective. That decision showed a lack of clinical diligence and wasted valuable time. I ended up following up with my primary care physician today who took the time to do a full evaluation and immediately noticed an issue in my throat that the PA had missed. My PCP was able to give me a proper diagnosis and appropriate care--something that should have happened at CityMD. It's incredibly frustrating to go to a facility expecting medical expertise and leave with poor care and more questions than answers. If there are no MDs available to review or confirm treatment decisions, then calling it CityMD is misleading. Be transparent and call it CityPA if that's who patients are going to see. Just a reminder to folks, your insurance likely pays for you to be seen by the MD so insist on it. In my experience, PA's are valuable team members for patient care but they often miss the mark when they assess you alone so you're better off seeing the MD to follow up after them. I won't be returning. Next time, I'll go straight to my own doctor from the start and I suggest everyone try to do the same.
