Got a call back very quickly saying they were on their way and would arrive in about an hour. Anthony arrived with another gentleman, Dom, on time and they patiently listened while I explained what was going on and what I tried. Anthony told me they'd first try to snake the drain and if that didn't work, there was another procedure with a water jet. I appreciated him being upfront about the fact that the first thing they would try may not work in order to set expectations. Decided to go with the snaking and Anthony let me know the price and proceeded to do the work. They were very thorough, spending about an hour working on it and testing it. By the end of the snaking, everything was working without an issue! Throughout the work, Anthony and Dom were extremely pleasant. They took extra care to ask if it was okay to move things onto the counter or if I wanted any extra protection on the floor. The great work, attention to detail, and general pleasantness mean I'll be calling Downtown Plumbing anytime I need a plumber.

For a tiny leak in one pipe in the corner of our bathroom ceiling, they tore tear down MOST of the ceiling, removing the overhead fixture, and breaking it, breaking the hot water valve, leaving the toilet so it would not flush, leaving bulging in the wall showing there was still water behind that wall and destroying the plaster and wall, disabling the overhead electricity, leaving the wires wrapped in a plastic bag, and smashing a beautiful vanity and sink. So, they left us with a smashed sink, no hot water, no bathroom ceiling, no flushing toilet, a badly damaged wall, and no light in that bathroom, a broken fixture and electric wires wrapped overhead in a plastic bag They said they would return,,would not give their name, and lied about all of the damage to everyone we reported it to. We feel M&M plumbing hires independent workers off the books so they cannot be found or held responsible.

I am writing this belated review because today I just contacted ClearFlow for yet another job…read more Summer 2015: My underground water line burst and was dripping water into my neighbors basement. The local water company(SUEZ) threatened to turn off water to my 2 family home unless I got the line fixed asap. I found ClearFlow on HomeAdvisors.com. I emailed them late evening and Mr Rolando replied immediately(via cell and text) He came over the next day to inspect and evaluate. Mr. Rolando (project manager) outlined everything that had to be done and what He was going to do: obtaining city certificates, hired policeman, step up street signs to close street. sub-contracted sidewalk concrete guys, street paving guys, excavation guys, plumbing guys. We agreed on a date and I did not have to do anything else but be home. All the trucks arrived EXACTLY at 8AM. They started work non-stop except for lunch and finished everything the same day and cleaned up all debris in front of my house by 4PM The SUEZ water company showed up to turn my water off a few days later thinking the work had not started, Mr. Rolando and I happened to be in front of my house when he showed up to prove it to him it was already completed. I contacted ClearFlow a few weeks later to replace all the turn-wheel water valves in my house with lever types so I can turn off only what I wanted versus turning off water to the whole house. Again , Mr R kept me informed even though he was on vacation by e-mail and text , I was given a quote, we agreed on a price and they came and replaced (welding and solder work) in about 2 hours in the evening. Clear-Flow tested everything before they left in both jobs. They are expensive but you get what you pay for and the work is professionally done. You don't have to do anything but agree on a price , get out of the way and let them do their job. Worry-Free.

I shared that I was having low water flow in my toilet as well and thus experiencing frequent clogs. I'd ask if they can both unclog the toilet and to evaluate my toilet to see what the problem is. When I called, they gave a quote for 20 mins which was way faster than I expected! Nevertheless, they were late, taking an hour to come. That alone isn't the problem but without clear communication, it makes planning difficult. He did text that he was 18 mins away, 20 mins into the wait. And by that time, he was 20 mins late from that estimate. He came into my apt and QUICKLY fixed the clog with a drain auger (?). It seriously took 1 minute. I asked him if he could then take a look at my toilet as well to see WHY I keep having this problem. He takes one look at it and says you need an ENTIRELY NEW TOILET and quoted me $600. He didn't look at the tank, do any sort of inspection. I said wow that seems extreme to have to replace the whole toilet, you haven't even taken a look. He said he knows these sorts of toilets and that I'd need a new one. I asked him to send me a quote so I could share with my landlord. Never received the quote! He charged me $150! I get that is the service fee but I don't think that's fair for 1 min of work and not even taking the time to inspect the toilet to see what could be wrong with it. Asked another plumber to check out my toilet. They replaced some parts and now it's flushing appropriately. They had much better prices and better professionalism. Please don't waste your money on this company.
