Have been going there since February. Walked in was told they had time to do a dip manicure. My hands were put into the remover..20 minutes later I start looking for my Tech. I noticed he had just started a walk in pedi. When I questioned how long he said ill be back when im done here. I left told the owner how rude it was to leave someone hanging . DO NOT GO HERE. I went in and asked if they had any availability they said they would in about 40 minutes. Perfectly fine. Well, I ended up waiting 1 hr 45 minutes and the staff was rude and did not make this a relaxing experience. They were not being gentle with my hands and practically throwing them around. I ended up paying $61 and waiting nearly 2 hours to even be seen for nails that look subpar at best. Will not be back. read more

I don't live in Bemidji and chose this place because it had the highest rating over the other places in town. Good god - how bad are the other places in town when this is the "best"?!? My appointment (fill & gel polish) was done at 3pm and by 7pm the polish was peeling off both thumb nails- see photos. Not pictured are 2 other nails that started peeling the next day! I was only in Bemidji overnight & didn't have time to have them redone, although I did stop by the next morning on my way out of town to see about getting a partial refund. Of course the place wasn't open at 9am per their posted hours on Google. I phoned from the road and was told no refund, just come in and get them redone - despite me repeatedly telling the phone guy (who could barely speak English) that I DON'T LIVE THERE! When I asked to speak to the owner or manager, I was then told that person was (conveniently) out of the country for a month! The worst part - I paid CASH instead of using a credit card so I can't even cancel the charge with my credit card company. Avoid this place & I guess try one of the other places in town - although it might be best to just avoid all of them! If I don't get any response to this review from the mystery owner, I'm going to call the Attorney General's office and INS, so as to protect future unsuspecting patrons. read more

I chose a pink glitter nail polish and when he put the polish on he put the first coat a bright red. I questioned him and the head lady there. She said that's how they do the polish. Then he put the pink one on top of the red. Well my nails are red not pink. I complained to the lady about the color and she didn't answer me. I was not happy. Then today the polish is peeling off. I used super glue on the one nail but the other one has a skid on it so can't repair. I live 120 miles away and leaving in two days for a family reunion in Canada. I don't have time today travel 5 hours for a redo. Another nail the polish chipped off. I wouldn't recommend this mail place. A waste of money. Cost me $100 which included a $9.00 tip. We made an appointment for 10am and they got us right in. We made an appointment for two manicures and one pedicure, but they let us change it to two of each when we got there with no problem. They keep calming music playing and a relaxing video to keep a very calming environment. Many people put in their reviews that they don't talk much, but I think that's to keep with the calming vibe. Both of us were very happy with our nails and the price is not bad for what we got!! Being from out of town, we were very worried about coming here, especially with all the negative reviews, but we were very happy with the service and will recommend it to anyone we can. read more

I made an appointment at 10 and I'm glad I did! This place fills up fast and it's evident why. The gentlemen who did my nails was AMAZING. He took off my old set, clipped my natural nails shorter and made sure the new set was precise. He took his time and made sure the nails I wanted were exactly like the photo I showed him. This is by far my worst nail experience. I came in as a walk-in for a French tip full set and was extremely displeased. The nail tech I had was a male, I don't know his name but he was extremely rough with my nails. The drill burned my nails and nicked my cuticles and made them bleed. The nail glue was adhered to my skin underneath the white tips. A few of my nails are crooked and misshaped. The acrylic itself is so thick and he didn't bother to clean the excess from underneath. My nails are so sore to touch and I have never had this happen before. Also on their price list it is stated "full set $35" but when I got up to pay I was charged $45 excluding tip. I would give this place 0 stars if I could. I do not recommend this place. read more

So, I usually go here once in a while. Because there isn't many other places to go to. Today, I went and had an appointment for a fill. I wanted French tips and got them. But when he was filing my nails down, it burned so bad and he kept going! He also had many of my nails left uneven and also forgot to even put a top coat on my left hand! Very rude . Didn't speak the whole time while he did my nails except to tell me to sit still when I moved my hand back cause it hurt on my nail when he was filed my nails . They didn't soak my nails before doing them , or put lotion on my hands and massage my hands . Would not recommend. read more

First time was ok. The second time, I had the guy, Tom, do my acrylic nails. He was rude and curt with me. I can get over that, but what did it for me was that I complained several times that he was hurting me. Sure enough when I went to wash my hands I saw that several of my fingers on my right hand were bleeding on the edges because he hadn't been careful with filing. When I told him, he just shrugged it off! Not only that, I had to stop him several times because he left gaps when laying down the acrylic. Unfortunately this town doesn't have one nail spa to offer visitors that are accustomed to quality service. Very basic mani/pedi. Someone reviewed on Google that their prices are too high. This is true. At home, for these prices I'll get a quality mani/pedi with mask and paraffin wax along with free soft drinks or wine. But hey, at least they do Gel nails now!!! read more

This place is the worst nail place I have ever been to. Every time I go in for acrylics, they're crooked, extremely thick, cut wrong and a lot of acrylic is under my nails. One nail is also lifting because he did not put enough glue on. Lots of my nails have missing polish from him getting it off my skin but while taking it off my skin, taking it off my nails. Bad shaping. I do not see clean tools ever being used on my nails and when I was in there, a girl who had been there the week before came in for a filling and she was there for 45 minutes because all the nail techs couldn't figure out the color that was on her nails even though they did them. read more

Salon was very dirty and instruments were not sterilized. Attended had a dirty silver box she took tools from. I was very disappointed with the end results of my gel French manicure and the abuse my nail beds received while removing previous grown out polish. I repeatedly told attendant that hurts,she just smiled. When my nails were in the ultra light I noticed spots on my nails and asked if that was injury to nails and she said yes. Extremely rude, long waits even with appointments, and the last time, after waiting for over half an hour, I was told to leave because they wanted to do a different walk-in first. I have friends who have seen the couple who owns this place get into fights right in the shop. Such unprofessional behavior doesn't merit spending ANY kind of money here. I called and made an appointment for a mini pedi which is listed on the website as $18. Upon my arrival one of the two men in the shop tried to bate and switch to the full pedicure. I will never step foot in this place again. I have been getting my nails done for years and have never had such a poor job as they did at NY nails. The nails were falling off within a few days and after paying 45$ to get my nails done I expect them to last longer than a few days. The same thing happened to my friend who got hers done at the same time. They promised her a new set free of charge then put them on and made her pay the full 45$ again.
