We purchased a BMW from this dealership earlier this year. At the time of purchase, we were clearly told that the car was in very good condition. However, within just one week, the vehicle started having problems. When we came back, the dealership simply sent us to a mechanic instead of taking responsibility. During the contract signing, they also sold us a repair "warranty" for $2,500, which we are still paying for. Unfortunately, after 2-3 months, more serious issues appeared, and we later found out that this warranty does NOT cover the actual problems we are facing. This was never properly explained to us. We feel misled into buying a warranty that is practically useless for our situation. Now we are stuck paying for the car, the warranty, and expensive repairs out of pocket. Our recently separated daughter needed a car, and because she wasnt able to work she needed our assistance. My wife and I are on a fixed income with not very much extra in the way of money. I came accross an ad for a car that looked decent for $5000. This at the top of our range but I went to look at it anyway. I took it for a test drive and the transmission did not shift into third gear. The salesman explaned that any car with a certain letter after the number was sold as is no repairs and they had not checked the vehicle out. So I ask how much more would I have to pay to get a car that had been gone over, and he said around $3000 more. He showed me a Hyundai that was very clean, drove great and the motor did not have a speck of dirt or oil. We purchased the car and within two weeks the check engine light came on, it started running rough and was hard to start. I checked the codes and there were three misfire codes. I pulled the plugs and they were caked with oil which caused them to foul and misfire. I went to talk to Tony the sales Mgr to see if he would help us. He said we should have purchased the warranty, which would have been another $2500. I explained to him that they had to know the engine had an issue with the valves or piston rings that's why the engine was so clean and the oil was fresh looking. My guess is they put two new spark plugs in and reset and erased the error codes and bought themselves two weeks before the plugs would foul again. This is out and out deception. After I explained this to him I said I thought a fair settlement would be to take the car back and sell me another that had been checked, I would pay the difference and the issue would be settled, management did not like that solution and was told the best they could do is sell me a motor at their cost, but I would have to go somewhere else because that was over their staffs ability. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING AT THIS DEALERSHIP. I DID SIGN A DOCUMENT THAT SAID I WAS BUYING THE CAR AS IS, BUT THEY LIED AND SAID THAT THIS CAR HAD BEEN GONE OVER. read more

I simply called to ask about the pricing range of a vehicle, whoever answered the phone around 6:30pm today (March 6) was EXTREMELY rude to me upon getting confused with what I was asking him (which was "what's the lowest amount you'd be willing to take out the door" for a specific vehicle, pretty simple.) and once understanding my (simple) question scoffed at me and said "we can't just tell you that, you're going to need to come out here and look at it to discuss any pricing" so what's the point of even listing pricing on the website, then, with that logic. I understand different lots work differently but this man was so condescending and rude, I can see why the reviews are the way that they are. Never have I ever been denied even DISCUSSING the price over the phone of a used car at a used car lot. He didn't tell me they wouldn't budge on price. Just told me I HAD to come there to receive ANY information. LOL!!!!!! Hilarious. Not providing a safety net of being able to discuss pricing and what not with customers before they waste their time driving out there really doesn't look good. I received a flyer from NW Automotive Group with pull tabs to win promotional prizes. I was so "surprised" when I WON a $300.00 gift card for Walmart. We all know how hard things are for people right now while dealing with COVID-19. Emotionally, socially and financially. So, a $300.00 gift card would be amazing right? So, I went to the website Fatwin.com and did what I was supposed to do to claim my prize. Again on the website I was told I was a winner and all I had to do was go to the dealership to pick up my gift card. No purchase necessary. Knowing this was a scam I checked them out online and YEP! Total scam. Everyone wins the same thing on the same duplicate ticket which matched mine to a tee. People reported that when you would get to the business pulling this scam they would be told they really DID NOT win a prize, but would be put in a drawing or something. So after finding this out I called NW Automotive Group and asked if I came to the lot if I was going to be handed a valid Walmart gift card worth $300.00. I was told,"Well . . . NO ". WOW! Anyway. I thought I would take this time to voice my opinion in regards to this business and my view on their logic on how they treat their customers. So here we go. SHAME ON THEM! Who in their right mind would think that anyone would actually purchase a car from a dealership who lures you onto the lot by lying to you? REALLY? They spent their time and money to concoct this elaborate multicolored flyer with pull tabs with the sole intent of SCAMMING me into believing I won $300.00, so I'd WASTE my time and gas to go to their Vine Street location only to find out that I was lied to. If they will scam people in order to get them onto their lot how would they scam them after they got there? They obviously have no problem lying, so why would anyone believe anything they would tell them about the vehicles they have for sale? I'm sorry. Beware Manager Terry is out for the money not for the customer. We got financed for a 2013 mini cooper. Terry was contacted that paperwork was all approved and email was being sent. A 10 am appointment was set for the next day to close. Terry knowing this phoned 2 hours after my bank contacted him and instructed us not to come he sold the car. I phoned Terry back and he said first come, first serve. I said paperwork was in order and time was scheduled to close. He stated we didn't even look at the car. I said online and obviously we wanted car we financed and that car is listed. Terry did not care. No apologies just that it is first come first serve. Deceptive/ terrible customer service. Recently purchased a vehicle and within 30 days have a $3,000 maintenance bill for 2 coolant leaks that were Deceptively covered up. We know this because water not coolant was found in the system likely contributing to the leaks. The GM Felix Gurvich has not and will not respond to our grievances through phone call, email, and reviews. It shows in the type of characters employed by him. Spoke with Terry which was extremely rude to the point he hung up on me. After that chose to answer and hang up with no greeting for an entire evening. Also, Anthony. Anthony is the petite white male with the desk immediately to the left upon entering from the used car entrance. I can only regard to him as a liar and a man with no integrity. If I could leave 0 stars, I would. Before I get into my review, just understand that their 4.2 rating is a hoax. People are NOT highly recommending this shady establishment. Trust me. You want to know how I know? Because the so called manager, named Anthony, told me he was on the phone with a customer for 4 hours and even had to speak with this customer's lawyer. My husband and I went to NW Automotive on 9/23, to purchase a used car. We walked in and were greeted by Anthony. We told him what we were looking for and he let us know that we could go out and look at any car we liked. He did show us a 2014 Mercedes on his computer, and stated this is a rare one and a super nice car. We went through the lot, looked through some cars, but ultimately decided on the Mercedes. The car was/is absolutely beautiful. We did a test drive and the car drove well. There were a few minor cosmetic things, but to us the car was great. We signed paperwork, got the special warranty that they offer through ASC, and were out of there within a hour and a half. Car drove fine, but within a week, there was a message about the coolant being low. My husband checked it and it seemed fine. Now mind you, this is the first luxury car we've owned, so keep that part in mind. The message went away and we thought everything was fine. Now let's fast forward to the issue. On 11/4 my husband took the car to work. He noticed that the heat stopped heating and turned a little cool. Once he got to work he really looked at the "coolant" liquid and happened to Google to get a little more info. Do you know what he found out? He found out that the coolant that goes into this particular Mercedes is pink. Yep...not clear, but pink. He put his finger in there and realized it was water! He filled the coolant and when he got home, had to top it off again. That's how bad it was leaking. We decided to not drive the car and let it sit to see how fast the coolant was draining out, and let me tell you, it leaked out within hours!! Now, I'm still confused as to what they did to mask this issue, but they most certainly did. I contacted a certified Mercedes mechanic and explained what was going on and they informed me that it sounded like a major issue/leak. We had the car towed and this is where it gets super crazy. They get the car, pop the hood and realize that it had a major issues! There was the leak, that was occurring in several spots, the thermostat was screwed up and the list goes on! Now, I know the car is 10 years old, but if you are doing actual inspections, you would think this would be caught and sold for less if you had no plans to repair. This repair, as of now, is costing us $3,000...$3,000 on a car listed for 10,000 is INSANE. I was informed, by the mechanic, that they did some shady work in order to get it off the lot. This car STILL has 45 day tags on it. We hadn't even received registration before it broke down. Now lets get to the customer service of NW Automotive. My husband called and wanted to speak with someone about this issue. He was told he would get a call back. Hours passed and he heard nothing. So he called back. Whomever he was speaking to was very nice, stated he was new and didn't know everyone's names. He grabbed an associate who he put on the phone. My husband went on to explain the issue and to see what we could work out and this man was absolutely nasty. Told him "we ain't going to do nothing for you." Then after that, any question my husband asked he kept interrupting and said "sounds like your waiting on a call from Dean". My husband asked his name, which he said was Terry and hung up on my husband. My husband called back and he answered, but immediately hung up and after that, they refused to answer the phone. Now mind you, my husband asked why he was being rude and because he was not speaking to him in a nasty tone. This didn't sit well with me, so I called. A Tony answered the phone, with attitude by the way, and from these reviews, Tony sounds like a jerk. So maybe Terry is Tony, which I'll touch on in a sec. I told Tony that I was sorry for calling with 20 minutes left in the day, but could I please speak to a service manager. He transferred me to good ole Anthony. Now talk about the gift of gab. This man talked my ear off for a solid 2 minutes. Told me he had been on the phone with a customer who was super upset and had a lawyer involved. Who gives this information out like that? And then he continued with how he loves customer service and he prides himself on that and he loves people and blah blah. I actually had to stop him from speaking, so that I could actually let him know what I was calling for. He "felt bad" and bull crapped his way through our conversation. He kept telling me he would have to listen to the phone recording of my husband and Terry. Which is wild because you don't state you record phone calls. When I took the car for a test drive, they had a nice key in the ignition but gave me the not so nice looking one when I bought it. I would give this dealership 0 stars. They let me buy a car with a bad transmission and it has been over 2 weeks before they even touched the vehicle. I drove the car for not even 10 mins and it completely stopped working. They sent the car to Jake Sweeney because, and I quote, "Did not know what was wrong with the car." When Jake Sweeney told them they wanted to replace the transmission and that it would be around 8,000$ they wanted the car back because they wanted to fix it themselves. I went in there and told them absolutely not, you guys sent it to Jake Sweeney because you didn't know how to fix it and now they are telling you it is 8,000$ and you magically know how to fix it? Absolutely not. I should have looked at reviews before I bought a vehicle through them. 10/10 do not recommend. Not to mention the had a beautiful Chevy Malibu and they both had a very bad oil leak as well as the Ford Escape we drove also had a bad transmission. If you do buy a car from them GET THE WARRANTY! The girl that sold us the car, her name was Kaylee, she was a sweetheart, she gets 5 stars and the financial guy there gets 5 stars also super sweet people. Other than that! Was in the market for a nice used car recently, and found a Subaru I liked on Car Gurus. It said it was a good deal, so I went to Northwest Automotive Group to check it out. I couldn't take it for a test drive the first day because they said the alternator had to be replaced, which they took care of. Was told everything is good to go so the next day I take it for a drive and everything seems good so I pay the full $6000+tax. Less than 1000 miles later the check engine, traction control, cooling system, cruise, and brake lights start flashing. Take it to the shop to find out I now need a new radiator, timing belt, water pump, and head gaskets which will run about $4200 to repair. The mechanic was also pretty certain that the lot would have known of these problems. When I called the shop the manager would not talk to me, so I went to the shop and he informs me that it's my problem. So stay away from Northwest Automotive Group! They are cheap scam artist that will lie right to your face to sell a car and basically steal hard earned money. Drove all the way from Michigan to look at a used car NW was selling. When I arrived and test drove the car, it was leaking oil substantially. This leak was definitely large enough for them to have noticed, but instead they told me the car was in great shape and had me drive 5 hours to waste my time. NW just buys cars at auction and resells them without a second thought. If you think you've found a good deal on a car that they're selling, I'd forget about it or AT LEAST take it to an authorized dealer and have a thorough pre-purchase inspection done before even considering buying from them. read more

I drove an hour and a half to check out 2 vans. The first one clearly had transmission problems. Second one had the check engine light come on 2 blocks into my test drive. They refused to budge on the price and offered me less than scrap prices for my current vehicle. The salesman was very short with me and tried to push the crappier vehicle on me. I did not purchase this $10,000 vehicle that I would have to drive straight to a mechanic. I do not recommend this establishment for anybody who wants to be treated like a person. read more

The van looked clean and test drove fine. We agreed to purchase the van. After my son in law got the van home, he noticed spots in the driveway. He took it to his local Honda dealer and they found several problems. Leaking oil and transmission fluid. Cost over $1000 to repair. NW Auto refused to answer my emails and phone calls. My son in law finally talked to someone there and they said there was nothing they could do. I call bull$%^&. They knowingly sold us the van with these issues. From what another poster said, they do nothing with these cars, they buy them as is and sell as is. They do not check them out or go through any inspection. Stay away from these frauds. I drove 45 minutes from Dayton to Cincinnati for a specific car. I made sure to speak with the manager (Terry) about the APR available to me beforehand. I wanted to avoid wasting my time if they were going to offer the 11.25% I had been quoted with internet lenders - a number I specifically stated was too high for me. I was told over the phone that with my decent credit score, I could get around 6.8%. Great. I made the drive, fully intending to purchase the car. The salesman and Terry were both very nice. However, when he went to run the numbers - suddenly 11.99% was offered, with monthly payments out of my comfortable price range. Apparently, over the phone, he gave me a quote based on my credit score - which got me in the door. I did not qualify for the rate once a deeper check was performed by their lender. I was surprised and annoyed by the bait and switch. The salesman and Terry did their best to explain why this was happening, and tried to convince me to take the high interest rate. I was not convinced. As a last effort, they brought over a man with a Russian accent (I can't recall his name.) This man was abrasive, curt, and condescended to me like I was a child. He spoke to me like I was stupid not to take the deal and that frankly, I should be so lucky. I was so offended that I stood up and walked out. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone, especially women attempting to purchase a car alone. I don't know why they thought that attempting to strong-arm potential customers would work. I was going to suggest looking at a vehicle in a lower price range, so I could have monthly payments I was comfortable with. But once they brought in the world's worst ringer, I was out of there. Horrible customer service, messages directly from the dealership about a vehicle I was looking for had numerous misspellings and some words were barely legible. They loosely describe vehicles so you will go to the dealership. Once you're at the location they will mention that features listed online don't actually work, such as AC. Some vehicles aren't safe to drive off the lot due to neglect in safety checks, dry-rotted tires aren't road worthy. This company does not want to work with you on pricing even if the car sits on the lot unsold for over a month with multiple problems. I do not recommend this dealership, there are plenty of better dealerships in the Cincy area with great offers. For your physical and monetary safety, do not buy here. read more

I seen a really nice 2017 ford fiesta at NW automotive group.I went ahead and filled out an application for the car and i received a call from them the next day. so I'm speaking to a younger guy on the phone and his name is Dean, so he proceeded to invite me to the lot to check out the car.I told him before I drive out there I need you to know I'm not working right now I'm on unemployment at the moment due to the pandemic, so chances are I'm not going to be able to be approved. He says "oh okay that's no problem, we work with people who are on unemployment all the time." so i took his word and I made the hour drive it took to get there, so I get to the lot and they were all very nice people looking to help me as much as they could. i asked for Dean and he let me test drive the car. we get back and I really liked it so he took me back in the building and we started the paper work and during the process of the paper work he tells me Im not eligible for the car, NOT because of my credit score is not good enough because my credit is in really good shape but the reason was because i am not working and I'm on unemployment..........WTF?! RIGHT? so this happened AFTER I had ALREADY explained to him on the phone before I got there I 'm temporarily unemployed! I look back I shouldn't have even filled out the application but i refuse to take blame for this! BUT HOLD ON, IT GETS BETTER! after being told I'm not eligible for the car he says " well hold on, I can get you into focus that's the same year if you have a thousand dollars down and your car as a trade in". I did not have a thousand dollars with me, and they only wanted to give me $700 for my trade in. He says if I were you i would go home and try to sell your car on facebook marketplace and if you can come in here tomorrow with 1500-1700 bucks i can get you in that focus tomorrow". so I went home and took his advice and sold my car thinking i was going to get the 2017 focus. I called as soon as I was done filling paper work for selling my old car and he says "I'm sorry but since you don't have a job i cant finance a car."....... like for real dude?! why in the hell would you tell someone that you know is already kind of struggling to go home and sell their only vehicle they have if you can't for sure get them in to the vehicle you said you could for sure give them.
