The market is pretty bare bones with two vegatable/fruit producers, a bakery, and a meat stand but there are a few exciting vendors that sell things like homemade fudge, juice, bbq and macarons. The two most personable vendors that I found at the market were Cascade Beverage Company which sold iced tea and the most amazing nitro kombucha that I've ever tried. At $12 for an entire growler, it's a steal! I also really enjoyed speaking to the owner of Liberty Farms of Virginia and his daughters who sold turkey, duck and chicken eggs in the most amazing assortment of beautiful colors. You can tell that they were a real family owned business and they were passionate about their product. You also get 25 cents off your purchase if you recycle an egg carton with them!

Also a very good selection of jellies and jams, plus baked goods, ice cream and gelato, and sausage. I was very pleased with Lola's Kusina, a food truck with a number of tasty selections. I particularly like the curry empanadas and the blueberry lumpias in addition to the people who run it: Lola and Rich, and especially Terry, whose people skills are superb. The two women who run the market, Samantha and Molly, are exceedingly pleasant. It's open from 10 until 2 on Saturdays; I'm not sure when it starts in the spring, but I know that the market ends for the year pretty late -- mid-December.

E'buono brings the neighborhood flair with baked goods made from jams, made from fruits grown in their OWN garden. And they're impressively delicious - try their thumbprint and fig cookies!! And my all time fave, Uncle Ping's, with larger than life pulled pork sandwiches (made w love over 12 hours), amazing from scratch, locally sourced ingredients dumplings. Omg this must be heaven. My other favorites here are Pierre's bakery, Mendoza Farms, and Spring Valley Farms. All vendors are fantastic but these have been my go-tos.

This farmer's market has become my happy place during the pandemic. Please note this is not to say…read morethey are not pandemic compliant because they are, you need a mask, there can be lines at vendors as they are servicing one customer per employee at a time, You point and the vendor selects, everyone takes credit cards, and they ask that you move in one direction past the vendors (there are arrows to follow). There is a county team that keeps things moving and compliant. Because of all of these precautions this is a safe place. All that said, it has became a pandemic happy place for me because I can get fresh fruits and veggies, plants, honey, and herbs as well as bread, coffee, desserts, Mediterranean goodies, and Latin American eats. I look forward to enjoying an almond pastry with warm coffee as I carry fresh bread, tomatoes, empanadas with spicy sauce, and garlic whip to my car. I am so glad the vendors here have become more varied than when I first reviewed them a couple years ago. A huge thank you to the both the vendors and team that keeps this operating, I am thankful for this happy place.

Was excited to see seeded watermelons and seeded grapes! We also grabbed some jelly's and apple butter. The Apple Butter took me back to Sunday mornings breakfast at Grandmas. The bakery side had a variety of yummy treats from doughnuts, pies, cookies and cakes. Definitely grabbed a few for later. The Apple Pie ice cream my hunnie ordered was delicious. Tasted just like Apple Pie. Looking forward to our next adventure here already.

The woman who checked us out was an absolute delight, warm, funny, and exactly what you hope for at a local farm stand. Unfortunately my experience in the herb section was the opposite. When I asked about strawberry plants and was told they didn't have any, I mentioned I was a first time gardener and asked if she could recommend something beginner friendly. Her response was essentially "just pick something, all you have to do is water them." When I explained again that I was new and looking for guidance, she told me she couldn't help me. As a first time gardener trying to learn, that kind of dismissiveness was discouraging. If it weren't for the lovely woman at checkout, I likely wouldn't return. I ended up going to Ed's Plant World in Brandywine where the staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful to a beginner. The difference was night and day. That said, I'm giving 4 stars because the place is really awesome in terms of selection and variety. The woman in the herb section may have just been having a bad day. It's absolutely worth checking out.
