Hired these guys a while back (out of laurel), results were very disappointing. The people they hire are absolute trash. I question how they hire their staff. I've had items stolen from my house and I've had these guys come back multiple times to fix issues that were not done correctly the first time. It was a pain to get this company to compensate too. The electrician they used was a piece of work (really good hustler). $50 to insert a blank plate outlet like c'mon. If I had known that I would have payed $50 bucks for a working outlet. Again, absolutely trash company, my opinion would be to stay away from these guys. read more

Update since the last review. It's still not finished and it won't be finished by this company. They never followed up to collect the final 5% because the value of the final payment is less than the cost of what's left to do. So, ultimately, they make a profit on not completing the work and because they never collected the final payment, they technically haven't breached their contract. Words of advice: don't agree to their terms in a contract. Cross out the parts that don't benefit you and rewrite the agreement before you sign. read more

Zero star and i filed the arbitration and MHIC compliant and received $83K award. Don't sign any agreement and they will ask you to pay all the money before to start or paritial complete job. After going through very painful process, i went with Arbitration and i win the case and taking into MHIC and City court next step. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. As the review below says, NV Kitchen and Bath is disorganized, unresponsive, and unprofessional. They are DISHONEST and DIRTY. The branch manager (Adam Apkinar) is extremely unhelpful and non responsive, and the project manager (Ryan Savage) has been completely unhelpful and totally ill-prepared with my friend's kitchen remodel. We hired NV Kitchen and Bath to remodel our kitchen on November 13, 2023. Before signing the contract, they told us they had their staff and long-term contractors working with them, and it was all a lie. Adam Akpinar deposited the checks we gave right after leaving his showroom. NVKB demolished my kitchen on December 28, 2023; after demolition, Adam told us he was broke, and the subcontractor left because they weren't getting paid. As of now, my house is in a shamble. As unfortunate this experience has been for some folks, I want to thank everyone for sharing your experiences. Everything that all the other (1 * reviews) are saying are on point! Sadly, my experience is almost identical to the other reviews as well. This is also hands down the worst experience I've ever had with a remodeling contractor, so understand your pain! The advice that Indigo states in his review 8/3/2023 is accurate and I couldn't have explained it any better myself. If you decide to have any contractor do any work, make sure you have an attorney review your contract 1st. After rejecting the VA contract they tried to use when indeed it was a job in Maryland that should follow Maryland Home Improvement Commission (MHIC) guidelines. In January 2023 I finally signed an actual legit Maryland contract that my attorney had to revise for them for free. My kitchen and primary bathroom remodeled started the first week of May 2023 and the completion date in the contract was set for 50 business days max. In February 2024 my project still wasn't completed. At that time it was over 100-business days late. So I highly advise to make sure you have a late penalty clause in your contact to avoid a company like this to drag out your project. I was hardly ever provided an updated schedule and never provided with a delay excelleration plan, warranties nor proof of insurance or a COI, even when asked numerous times as it was all required in the contract. There has been an outrageous number of issues with wrong materials ordered, incompetent workmanship, wrong sized cabinets, continuous installation errors, faulty wiring and plumbing, debris piled up in my driveway for days, over 6 failed county inspections, and numerous no shows and violations of applicable building codes. They switched project managers at least 5 times thus leaving no one managing the project except myself. They used unlicensed, inexperienced workers for plumbing and electrical and they used non-certified appliance installers to install high-end appliances which they damaged. They ran out of flooring materials and left the remaining floors (my main bedroom) unfinished for weeks. They even got wood stain on the new hardwood floors and never attempted to clean it up. They even attempted to use counterfeit (knock-off) countertop materials in place of the name brand materials listed in the contract I was paying for. Watchout out for the off-brand quartz swap scam these fabricators are doing out here. Make sure you pick out your slabs and record the serial #s and get the order sheet showing it was ordered, purchased and delivered to the fabricator. The list of issues goes on and on and on, all while living in the house during the entire renovation and being left with having to micromanage the sub-contractors myself; and you would think it couldn't get worse... They cracked and scratched the custom kitchen cabinet panels and used the wrong color touch up paint to try to hide it. They installed a gas line improperly and electrical incorrectly causing appliance and electrical issues, installed incorrect range hood venting which had to be ripped out, damaged my high-end refrigerator, delivered mismeasured countertops and on top of that installed them leaving sloppy seems and gaps. With no concern of the safety hazard to my family & the liability of having no rails at all, they demoed the stair rails and took months before they finally installed new stair rails that ended up not even passing inspection multiple times. This caused the railing to be ripped out and replaced 4 times before finally passing inspection and it's technically still not to code. They even tried to convince me to sign a waiver to except the rails as completed not to code LOL SMH....NOT! This company was warned multiple times for the delays and sloppy workmanship, and they still never resolved the issues nor completed the job before they were eventually fired and me left to seek another company to finish. Also be very aware of their management, they are DISHONEST and DIRTY! Fortunately, I was able to realize these things because I have a good amount of experience with this type of work. Honestly, I could have and should have done this project myself. I give them Zero (0) stars and warn anyone who may be looking to use this company to STAY FAR AWAY! This company is a unethical home improvement company. Don't let this company getaway with their unethical behavior and report them the MHIC, file for arbitration if needed and seek legal advice to take action! FACTS! read more

NV Kitchens installed our kitchen and caused a total disaster. To NV -- Our surname is Wheeler, by the way. DO NOT USE THEM. The ceramic floor they put on our kitchen and hallway started popping off immediately. Our whole kitchen rests upon it. We called not five times or ten times but at least fifty times to try to get them to fix it. THEY NEVER DID. Now we have a $200,000 mess to deal with. At one point they suggested that if we paid for more substantial work, THEN they might fix it. Really? Have them install a tile bathroom? We are not insane. Keep NV Kitchen & Bath out of your house. I don't even know if they ever finished all the inspections. A horror show. read more

For those with simple remove/replace remodels, this company might be able to fulfill your needs. All of the contractors and subcontractors were genuinely friendly and knowledgeable about their trade. When challenged with new material or construction techniques, the owner and project manager would loudly complain; however, most contractor's actually welcomed and were open to learning something new. My experience was exactly in-line with the other one-star reviews. In fact, you could swap out their complaints with my experience and it would match line-by-line. The company never finished my project. During the construction phase there were several gaps of 3 to 4 weeks of no-shows (not material delays, just no-shows); then finally the builder refused to show up at the project site for months after they realized two shower floor installations were faulty and needed to be torn out and rebuilt. Several licensed contractors and county inspectors all declared the shower floors as incorrectly installed, but the builder still wouldn't budge. That's just the tip of the iceberg of problems on this project, but you get the idea. Overall I will lose more than $30,000 over my original budget to fix the mess of a project caused by this company. Some advice for those who want to go with this company and value their money: -The contract verbiage was faulty; when in doubt, have a lawyer review! For example, Maryland contract law requires things that this builder did not include in its contract, such as: --contract completion dates --disclosing how the homeowner can exit a contract --section regarding Maryland Home Improvement Commission (MHIC) -Demand that the contract stipulate all progressive payments be made to a 3rd party escrow. The business gets paid by invoicing escrow. -Demand the contract to specify appropriate levels of expertise depending on what your project needs. Does your project require a: --Master electrician? --Master plumber? --Structural engineer? --Certified tile installer? --Master carpenter? --Master mason? Note: just because a permit is opened under a master, doesn't mean the work will be done by one. If required, demand the contract specifically states specific work to be completed by the appropriate level of expertise! -For example: let a master plumber design the plumbing layout, and let the regular plumber follow the specs under the master's supervision.... In the end, it's faster, it's more likely to be correct, and saves everyone money and frustration. Some advice for the project manager, contractors and subcontractors, if they ever read this review: -Own your mistakes, and assess why the mistake occurred in the first place; stop blame-shifting -Proactively discuss with the workers and homeowners throughout the project; ideally, every day at the beginning and end of the day. -Pay your contractors and subcontractors to get trained or certified. In the end, they will do things faster, less rework will be required, and they will be more loyal. -Regularly assess what your workers do (beginning of day / end of day) via in-person on-site visits, video chat, or picture evidence -Encourage feedback from your contractors and subcontractors when there is a knowledge deficit. For example: if a subcontractor doesn't know how to install a product, then encourage an open and honest feedback channel. Take time to read and discuss the instructions with them, watch installation videos with them, and even do test installs with them. A few minutes of preparation can save thousands of dollars of headache and avoid terrible customer experiences. -Require your workers to follow industry standards. Of course, I am terribly upset about the failed project, and monetary loss caused by this company. I am disappointed in the management's continued lack of professionalism. But I know that at the root of it, most everyone wants to be successful and satisfied with what they do in life. They attempt to change the price of a project after a contract is signed and leave the working space with dust and debris everywhere. The Jessup branch manager, Adam Apkinar takes no responsibility for the actions of his employees nor does he check the quality of the services his branch provides. The project manager, Ryan Savage, is completely out of touch with the going's on of his projects and is uncommunicative.
