I then followed up with a phone call to see if they needed anything else - they said nothing. When I went into 5 hours later to pick up my drugs they were not there - they said I had to call to confirm my transfers ... which I had done. Anyway I let that slide and then dropped off my old prescriptions in person to transfer them. They said it would take an hour to fill - I came back in 2 hours - only to find that the prescription wasn't filled because they needed to know if I wanted generic or name brand. My question - why the heck didn't they call to ask that? Anyway, I'm not pleased with my switch so far ... and not sure that there are any pharmacies around here that know how to treat their customers or use technology.

Their website was too cumbersome to find it but apparently the pharmacy can't look up CVS by ZIP so it makes you wonder if you should trust them to fill medication. Seems like that should be an easy search for them to do. I found the number by using Bing search oddly enough and then she said "we will transfer it" and then still hasn't. She said before this that she would just delete the prescription and I should call CVS in NY to call them where I assume they'd be equally as dense to not be able to find it without a store number. Meanwhile if I transferred it to Walgreens, they'd likely transfer it with just a phone number.

Appointments are required, but easily obtained through their website. All you need to provide is name and address, health insurance information (if insured) and knowledge of the shots you want. Scheduling is handled directly on that site, with location convenient to you offered as alternatives. Once selected, the available dates/times are shown and you click the best for your needs. Mine was made for the following week. Upon arrival, I checked in with the pharmacy, showed my photo ID, vaccination history card and health insurance information, answered a few questions about Covid symptoms or exposure and took a seat. Within minutes, a pharmacist approached, introduced herself, and took me to a small private room where the injections were quickly given. I had two that day. Bandaids were applied to protect the tiny wound and I was out the door. No significant side effects that evening nor the next day, except for minor discomfort at the injection site. No fuss. No muss. My only suggestion would be that they make an effort to make that room more comfortable, because it appeared they were still using it for storage in addition to seeing patients.

I use that terminology because that is the sincere rare caring that has been shown to me many times over . That atmosphere is established first by the owner Pharmacist Dave , and is a welcome contagious one , " caught " by each of his staff. Hmm...I suppose that would be the only contagion that would be welcome there . One 4th of July I forgot to refill my important medication before the store had closed. Dave left his family barbecue to open the pharmacy for me . He arrived to help me with his consistant kindness, while he had every right to feel otherwise , since it was my lapse in memory that dragged him back to work that day. There is not one chain of pharmacies around our town that would have unlocked their doors on a closed Holiday to let me in and fill my prescription . Thank God for the dedication of the staff at this pharmacy and others like it that are comitted to maintain a higher standard of excellence while facing all of the challenges that are inherent within the choice they made to bring an independent home town pharmacy for all of us to benefit.
