When I called the salon to express my concerns.I was specifically complaining about a stylist named Donna. According to her salon bio, she recently moved from Chicago. Less than 24 hours after making that complaint, I received a text message from an unknown Chicago-area phone number calling me names. The timing was concerning enough that I felt it should be reported to the salon. I did not feel that concern was taken seriously. I was told that someone would contact me regarding my complaint, but I was left waiting without any meaningful response. At this point, I was seeking a refund because I am deeply dissatisfied with the haircut itself, upset by the way my concerns have been handled, and troubled by the harassing message I received after reporting my experience. When my calls were not being returned, I called again for a third time and at that time was told that Donna is the owner of the business and would never do such a thing. My initial complaint was regarding my haircut. I have fine hair, and throughout my appointment the stylist described what she was doing as adding "movement" to my hair. At no point did I understand that significant debulking was being done. That is not something I would have requested. The result is that my hair feels much thinner than before, and I have not been able to find a way to style it that I feel good about. Another concern is that my hair was not blow-dried at the end of the service. It wasn't until I went home, washed it myself, and blow-dried it that I was able to fully see the haircut and notice the issues I have with it. Looking at it styled properly only made me more upset with the final result. Now this situation is much larger and I am still hoping for a full refund for the service.

I got in touch with her shortly after leaving, and she was so kind and understanding and scheduled a complimentary appointment to help get it to what she was hoping for. She calls back, says no prob, come at 5:15 tomorrow. I went into the salon that evening to show her my hair/length and she says we're good to go. I arrive and am checked in, confirming the services, and the lady at the desk confirms them and says the price is will be $180. I sit and wait. 10 minutes later Dora comes out. We begin the consultation. She argued with me every step of the way. She said they closed at 8 so no way we could do everything, when another staffer said they could actually go until 10. She clearly didn't want to stay. That's fine, but why take the appointment in the first place? She says we can only do half my roots, not a full foil and no highlights. I almost got up and excused myself, and I wish I had. It was so much back and forth with her it was exhausting. Finally I said to her and the other lady there was still an inch of roots and my hair was yellow. She left for 15 minutes and I heard her complaining about me to another employee. She then came back out, put a color wash on me in the sink, was very aggressive, got it all over my forehead and ears, and the water was way too hot. It was horrible. She then tried to start my haircut, which I declined. No chance I was letting her near me with scissors. The final product was grey roots, and patchy yellow blond hair. The people at my office called me Lemonhead. What I was supposed to receive: Full color, highlights and cut - $180 What I received: Half color, crown only - $112 So apparently a half color, cut, and highlights is only $58! Give me a break. Horrible, rude service, terrible results, and dishonest charges. They did tell me I'll get 10% off my next visit! Hah! Lemonhead, out.
