I visited Texas Laser Academy to have my legs and underarms lasered. The first time I went, I was…read moreunable to receive service due to an issue that could have been spotted by a questionnaire in advance, obviating the need for me to drive there. The same thing happened the second time. The third time, I was given an iPad to fill out a form. I have a disability that makes it very difficult for me to type on an iPad or phone, so I asked for help with the form. The manager complained (in a very confrontational manner) that I did not fill out the form myself. I have never been treated that badly before or since. That manager is the only service person who has ever complained about my need for disability accommodations. When I suggested that all forms be sent to clients before the first visit, so problems could be noted and solved before clients had to drive to the studio, he became quite defensive. He showed no empathy. I have never been treated so badly by any service provider. I find it ironic that a manager at a school that teaches people to perform a service career would be so callous. My advice is that you consider driving up north to Austin's other laser school, where service is impeccable.

One of the things I have always liked about this place was that there are instructors all around. I saw three of them that day. Many of the girls were new and the instructors came out to teach and actually step in to show them a technique. An instructor will always come to check your hair before you leave so don't worry! Just for a reference, my wash and blow dry was 10 bucks!! They take tips but cash only!! I felt horrible as I only had 2 dollars to give my girl. The instructor made me feel just fine about it. She told me I didn't even need to leave a tip. The girls just love having the experience on the floor. So be prepared to bring cash if you would like to leave a tip. $$$

If they do not do certain types of hair or if they do not take suggestions than they should tell the customer upfront. They won't and do not do all types of hair and won't help the students.

In addition to doing perfect work on my hair, he talked with me, as a bartender would talk with a regular customer. He engaged me in conversation and let me know what he thought but allowed me to guide that subjects of our conversation. When I asked him things, he would give me honest answers but he let me guide the subject of our talk. Talking with Christian was relaxing for me, which added positively to the experience of my haircut. I hope that Christian finds success in this business and attracts successful clients, for the work that he does. My wife looked at the work that he did and she was completely satisfied.
