This is twice now I've been here in 2 weeks that I've had terrible customer service. Not sure what's wrong with the cashiers here but they do not smile or talk in a friendly manner. Today I went and the cashier, named Valerie on the receipt with the eyeball necklace, was speaking with a coworker in a happy tone and as I got in check out, she took her time getting to the register without once looking at me or saying hello but continuing to talk to her coworker. Then, when she was done with her cheerful conversation, her voice went full monotone. When I gave her my phone number for the 1st responder discount, the 10% was not applied either, and I didn't realize it until I left. It wasn't worth it at that point with the terrible customer service to even go back. After this visit, I stopped by McDonalds for a quick snack, and even the fast food customer service there was way better. Initially I was excited because they sell raw milk here. However, I may just have to go back to Chucks instead. I will give them a few more chances but honestly appalled of the service and this is 2 times in a row. read more

I loved that they have all sorts of keto bread, bagels and pita items. Also a great selection of protein bars. They do have discount items in the back of store. Staff was not welcoming when we walked in or checked out. She seemed as though she didn't want to be at work and definitely showed it. read more

The Divine Leaf Vegan restaurant they have inside serves some of the best food! Nice to order and then shop too, even for to-go. Also, the grocery selection is really nice both eco and health friendly options! Everyone working here was incredibly helpful and nice offering suggestions when requested. Definitely recommend! Great selections and even better customer service! I stopped here to try finding new, healthier snacks for my kids. The staff were all masked for Covid safety, but you could tell they were all smiling. They greeted me, asked if I needed help, discussed the products with me, and even gave me coupons to save $9 on products I already had in my cart. We don't have a Whole Foods or a Trader Joe's around here, but we do have a Nutrition Smart. It's the same idea, although a little smaller. I don't come here for my weekly food shopping. It's more for picking up some stray little stuff. Not fruits and vegetables or anything like that. For me anyway. It's the other stuff. Healthier snacks. Nut mix. Sugar free ice cream. Gluten free stuff. All of the food that's supposed to be better for you than if you were to get it a Publix. They also have a huge selection of protein shakes, protein bars, and vitamins as well. And their staff is really knowledgeable which is helpful since the last time I took vitamins they were shaped like Fred Flintstone. They also have a lot of classes although I have never attended one of them so I can't say whether they are good or not, but at least they are trying to help you!! It wouldn't kill you to stop by and pick up something to eat a little healthier or take a class to improve the stuff in your pantry or choke down a few vitamins and maybe live a little longer. In fact, it will do the complete opposite!! read more

Much closer than Whole Foods so I usually wind up here for my vegan needs. A lot of their products can be purchased cheaper elsewhere but if you stick with the bulk and the things on sale you usually will be ok. I find a lot of harder to find items here like vanilla beans, nutritional yeast and broth powder. Saturdays usually means lot of samples. read more

My first time in this nutrition smart, and I'm pretty disappointed. I live about 10 minutes away, and usually go to Whole Foods In Carrollwood due to their selection and customer service. I felt tired today but needed to pick up some nutrients for the week so I deceived to visit this particular store. Upon walking in, the store was clean, well organized and I found my MOST of products fairly fast. That's where the good went sour. I asked for helped and the associate on the floor while trying, didn't know where the product I wanted was and he went to "find" another employee. I waited for about 5 minutes and decided to go find it on my own some more. I couldn't find it to say the least and went to checkout. Now; the cashier himself was very rude and un helpful. I inquired about the "crunch perks" program that they had on the door, and what they offered to us crunch members. I showed him my crunch badge and the older gentlemen asked " what are you doing? What is that"? I kindly replied that it was my gym membership badge just so I can take advantage of the perks. He told me with a scoff that has nothing to do with it and I need to sign up . He then flashed a paper at me about some nutrition smart program that had nothing to do with my question about the crunch perks. I told him never mind and I checked out and went about my way. Store is clean, but the service level and knowledge of employees needs some serious work. read more

This is the place to go in town for organic produce. Most of the time I come there, especially in the mornings, the produce section is just beautiful. The people there are always friendly and helpful, and the store is kept clean. I like the selection that other health stores don't offer- like less well-known brands and SO many holistic supplements. After I left the store about 2 months ago, I realized I didn't have all my items I purchased. I just went back today and they looked up my receipt and took my word that I didn't receive them. Great little health food store on Bruce B Downs not far from Wiregrass Mall and across the street from Publix. What I really love is the 'by the pound' aisle of everything from tea to grains to candy. I first fell in love with this place because I could buy single portion amounts of quinoa and spices. Excellent for the single cook or someone who wants to experiment with a recipe but not yet commit to a full sized portion of a cooking ingredient. They have markdowns often which result in great deals. While the store is not as large as its competitors, there are many organic healthful options available. The produce section is small, but reasonable in price. Staff is friendly and the store is incredibly clean. They have a notable vitamin section if you are looking for a specific health product. read more

Great addition to the Wesley Chapel area, located in a strip mall across from the Shops at Wiregrass and the Beall's/Publix plaza. Yes, it's a natural food store, but no, it isn't the same as Whole Foods or Fresh Market. (Why, oh why, can't we get one of those up here?!) The selection is okay, but you won't be able to find everything you're looking for. It's kept clean, the employees are friendly, and things are easy to find, for the most part. They do have a large selection of vitamins and health products (seems like almost a third of the store?). I was able to find Seventh Generation chlorine-free diapers for my daughter years ago since she was allergic to the major brands of diapers, which is how I found this place. Otherwise, I probably wouldn't have stopped in. They also have natural cleaning products. Limited selection of fresh produce and meat, but again, beats the alternative in this area which is nothing. In the off-chance that my prayers are answered and a Whole Foods were built here, then this place would serve no purpose. But right now it's a great place to go when I need something I can't find at Publix. read more

Thankful for this place - we are not located near WF, TJ or any other of the fancy health food chains... It's not a big box store like the rest. If you expect a neighborhood spot where you can grab essentials in a pinch, you won't be disappointed. Just know that the fresh produce is the smallest section in the store. I have found any and every gluten free item I've needed here. They also have HUGE tea & supplement sections & a decent bulk nut/grain/oat section too. I know there are classes or talks related to health & well being that are hosted at the store, but I've never participated. All of the staff is extremely nice and helpful. Check them out! read more

This is place is nice and spacious. According to the sign, they only carry organic produces. They have a nice varied selections of items in the store even though it can be tough to keep the shelves stocked with all that is going on in the food world. I wish the staff was a little more friendlier. It would be nicer to shop closer to my home instead of driving over to Whole Foods to do most of my organic and natural shopping. read more

I would frequent the smoothie juice bar for their wraps but they've recently hired new staff that have a habit of not cleaning their hands when leaving the area to restock on fresh produce. I've witnessed a new guy leave his gloves on while ringing a customers out at the cash register then proceed to make someone's food. I've also witness this same guys scratch his head and proceed to wrap someone's sandwich. This employee is known for leaving his gloves on when going to the back to stock up on new produce. I even had to make reference to him that the gloves were to prevent cross contamination not to protect his hands from the food. For that reason I only shop the grocery are, but they are more pricey than Whole Foods so I go just for select items because it's closer to my home. Mary is the only saving grace to the juice bar. I avoid the juice bar all together if she's not there. If they loose her, that juice bar area will definitely struggle. read more

The best part about this place is the CAFE- I have NEVER walked away unhappy, they have a huge juice/smoothie menu and excellent fresh to order salads & sandwiches. The quality is wonderful & I am so happy this is super close to my house. I've had numerous items from their menu and all has been SO delicious and fresh. I was extremely excited to find Health S'mart during my recent visit to Wesley Chapel. I live about an hour away (and there are no quality health food/nutrition stores near me). I purchased several items from the produce section (although, there were several disgusting bad red onions, yuck). I was able to find almost everything I was looking for with the exception of a few. Great gluten-free options. I was very excited to find a toothpaste that I've only been able to locate at a health food store in Chicago (I actually just has someone mail me some). At least now, I can pick some up whenever I'm up near Tampa. Overall, I was pleased just to find this place; HOWEVER, it was extremely disappointing that I wasn't offered assistance by one person. This was my first visit and I was just roaming aimlessly trying to see what Health S'mart had to offer. I could have used help with finding a few supplements but I guess I research them on my own before coming back. read more

I really like this grocery store. My family and I shop here for a lot of our produce and because my sister is gluten free, we shop here to find her wholesome foods that accommodate her gluten allergy. Given their size, Nutrition S'Mart has a good variety of foods and an excellent vitamin/supplement supply. This week, I stopped in to purchase some vitamins and a few healthy snacks. As always, the staff was friendly, and very accommodating, The store itself was clean, and I was able to find the snacks I was looking for fairly easily. I then headed over to the vitamin section where an employee helped me find the Vitamin C supplement I was looking for, and even recommended her favorite herbal tea to help with my itchy throat, which I purchased. I was also pleased to find that they carry Bach's Rescue Remedy drops, which I like to have on me whenever I am feeling particularly stressed. The prices were not too high, but are a little higher than your average grocery store because the items I picked up were natural and organic. All in all, shopping here was a pleasure, like always, and I will return. read more

Finding GF DF & SF all in one quick and easy options has been very helpful for me with my daily struggle to find different things to feed my kid. I am a gluten-free vegan. I also only eat organic fruits and vegetables. While Nutrtion Smarts produce section is small, it has a greater selection of organic fruits and vegetables that I was able to find at Whole Foods, which intersperses their sparse selection of organics in with a large proportion of conventional produce. When I started shopping at NS about five years ago, it was wonderful. The staff was knowledgeable and congenial, the store was meticulous, and the place was always well stocked. There was a community feeling when you walked in the door and through the years, I got to know most of the staff as they helped me in immeasurable ways with a variety of challenges during my food lifestyle shift. I ultimately shopped there exclusively. While their prices are higher on some non perishables, they routinely out compete Publix on produce, and it's not shrink-wrapped in plastic! I still shop there for some things, and the service is ok, but something happened a couple of years ago that resulted in the loss of the core senior staff that ran that place so well for so many years. The new staff, while helpful, lacks the product familiarity and client centric culture since none of them (except for two awesome guys who have been there forever) seem to stick around very long. So it seems like something is going on behind the scenes that's causing staff to leave. NS-corporate: whatever you changed isn't working. I was loyal, in large part because of the staff. They were kind, courteous and knowledgeable. And now they are gone. If I have an alternative that provides what you use to have, I will take my business elsewhere. read more
