First of all -- let's start with the most important part -- this facility is BLACK WOMEN OWNED and you can absolutely feel the love, excellence, and intention the moment you walk in. You can get your hair done right here by some of the most talented, professional, and welcoming stylists. My stylist is Mrs. Vivienne of Amanda's Touch Beauty Salon, and when I tell you she does an AMAZING job on my hair... I mean every single time. She is consistent, gifted, and truly cares about healthy hair. I always leave feeling confident, refreshed, and cute. ‍ Now let me get back to Platinum Wellness Spa because whew -- this is not just a spa, it's an EXPERIENCE. This is a Black-owned women's spa where women, men, friends, and family can all come together to relax, reset, and be pampered. The facility is absolutely beautiful, clean, calming, and full of good energy. It's the kind of place that instantly makes you slow down and breathe. They even offer tours of the spa, so you can really see everything they have to offer. You just have to reach out to them to schedule a day and time. So I booked this for Valentine's Day after I worked they close at 8pm and my appointment was at…read more5:45, so I will base some of my disdain on it being a busy day and my appointment being later in the day. Upon entering I had high hopes because the reception to the spa area although it was small it looked warm and inviting. I was checked in and led to a women's restroom/locker room and this is where my experience became lackluster. I was shown a locker where to put my things and there was a rolled up half towel situation and some blue slippers. I'm a big girl. Never was I asked what size I needed for either. My butt was out and the slides were too small....... Then as I'm putting my belongings in the locker I noticed that the floor was filthy. Like hair, dust, like it may not have been swept in about a week. Then I was led to a room with oxygen chairs, I was told to have a seat, but the oxygen service was never explained or anything, there were also snacks in the area and I knew I could partake due to signage the hostess who brought me to the area was very frazzled and didn't seem to know what she was doing. I can't remember her name. The ONLY reason why they got the two stars is because the person who did my Posh Facial was the TRUTH. If it had not been for her I would have gave the entire experience 0 stars would not recommend. I actually struggled with writing this review because I want us to WIN but we have to do better. After my service was over the checkout was EVEN worse than the check in. There were people standing in the hallway right outside my door because there was no more available seats in the waiting area. When I went back in the locker room now there was now what looked to be pubic hairs and candy wrappers on the floor, the hostess this time did pick up the used robes and slides out of the floor before she left me to change. When I got back to the front there were two other young ladies checking out before me and I heard them questioning their total. When it was my turn and she told me MY price after deposit, I asked the same question & they are charging the CLOVER fees back to the customer. WOODHOUSE would never. Not sure if I will try this place again or recommend it.

It's safe to say she was exhausted. I completely understand, however, I had an appointment that was scheduled two weeks ago. The young lady at the front was very apologetic and attempted to call me before my arrival. I didn't get the call because I was already in route. There was no need to express my frustration with her because she's the messenger. This is a matter that management/ owners of the establishment should deal with. What took place this morning was beyond unprofessional, inconsiderate, and simple poor business practice. The hydration therapy service that is provided here is definitely something this area needs because of the benefits it offers. However, I could easily venture out to other area that offers the same services with a more convenient schedule and reliability, but I choose to give this location a try after being referred here for other services that I have been very pleased with. Would I recommend or refer others here? Absolutely for any other service other than the hydration therapy treatment. Those that work here that I have encountered has been professional, courteous, and has shown a genuine concern as it relate to the nature of my visit.
