I found Nile Wellness Center a few years back and came here for my first colonic. Booking an appointment is a snap and is done via text. Since I was a first timer, I had no idea what to expect but Dr Imani's professional, easy going personality made me feel completely at ease. He explained the procedure and how to get set up on the machine. The room was dimly lit and the temperature was perfect. I was able to waste time on my phone while I was receiving my cleanse. I visited again today and found the experience was still top notch. I would highly recommend Nile Wellness Center. read more

Beware! Michael Imani presents himself as "Dr. Imani, ND," implying medical expertise, but his credentials are misleading. He claims a Ph.D. in clinical hypnosis from a non-accredited correspondence school and a credential from the non-accredited American Alternative Medical Association Board of Examiners, not a medical or naturopathic degree from a recognized institution. His bio cites post-doctoral studies at the Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine and a certificate from Duke Integrative Medicine, which are merely certificates, not advanced degrees. His only verifiable degree is an MBA. He settled a 2014 lawsuit for misrepresenting his credentials and perforating a patient's colon during a colonic irrigation, causing severe injury. His website and LinkedIn show no state-issued medical or naturopathic license, yet he offers colonics, naturopathy, diabetes prevention, hCG weight loss, and food sensitivity testing, deceiving clients about his qualifications. He threatened to share the text thread with my medical history in retaliation for a negative review, a potential HIPAA violation, though he may not be bound by HIPAA as an unlicensed provider. Which explains why he's taking medical information over a non-secure method. While he may not need a license to offer these services, Imani intentionally misleads people by using "Dr." to suggest he is a medical professional. read more

I have been a regular at this place. I tried other facilities & this place asks about room temp, they give you privacy & control over your settings. I moved away & never found another place like this. I just moved back & can't wait to book again. I always felt so much better, skin glows, mind is sharper & less tired. Really the best results. read more

Informed you how it would feel and what to do as well as what to expect. The location was clean and had a refreshing smell despite what you might thing of a place that is cleaning your digestive track. Very reasonable priced. Non-invasive. Private and comfortable setting. The bedside manor of this place is not good. They also had me wait an hour or more for every single appt I had here. I would not recommend this place. read more

I first visited Niles earlier this year when they had an offer with Groupon. I have since visited a few times without the incentive of a deal. The facility is very clean and Dr. Imani is very professional and helpful. Though I've visited other centers, when it comes to overall experience Niles is my first choice. read more

I will never give them my business again. The room that they placed me in still had feces on the receptacle. The owner is rude and did not want to give me my money back, but instead place me in another room. That was a safety issue. Beware when booking here. read more

This was an amazing experience! Very clean, very private, no waiting. Dr. Imani was pleasant and patient with me. I'd definitely recommend.

My husband and myself enjoy this facility. Customer service is great as well as the service. We enjoy the after rewards of detoxification.

Michael Imani is rude and struggles with communicating in a professional and mature manner with clients. He is unnecessarily intimidated and overly defensive when asked basic questions. He fails to realize that his arrogance is a liability to the integrity of his own businesses. read more

All I can say is OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!! The last time I had a colonic it was in a hospital setting and very lets say IMPERSONAL. THANK GOD for technology. I walked into this quaint office just south of Spaghetti junction. The good Dr. was patient and explained the whole process. It was totally different than what I experienced in the past. I believe everyone should try this process because you will feel much better. The experience was odor free and without any discomfort. Very afforable too! Dr. Imani was gracious and patient. The office was clean and had a spa like tranquility. I have been twice! read more

I've been looking to have a colonic done for quite sometime now & I hit the jackpot when I came across the Nile Wellness Center. My experience here was like nothing like anything that I've previously experience with other colonics. The atmosphere was so relaxing that I was able to read a book, send text messages as well as check out social media sites. It was extremely easy to make an appointment and comforting to have been given simple instructions before and after the procedure. I will definitely be returning to the Niles Wellness Center for all of my future colonic procedures. read more

Always a bomb place. If you grew up like me knowing that the smell of bleach is the smell of a place that someone cleaned really good then you will be at ease when you walk into the treatment rooms. It was super clean and super relaxing! I love that I can text and get a reply about an appointment too! They are super nice and priced very fairly! read more

Wonderful place for colonics with a caring and knowledgeable owner & comparative prices. Quick responses for appointments and great flexibility. The only thing I would change is to have visibility of the waste you purge yourself of but I'm just a visual person who finds that satisfying, not everyone wants to see it lol. read more

If you dislike doctors' offices & hospitals this place is for you! I was a bit skeptical/procrastinate because my fear of the hospital/doctors' office setting! The staff is superb in assuring you feel right at home with the warm welcomes, step by step directions, privacy & simplicity of the procedure! I was slightly eased when greeted by Dr. Imani with a warm welcome, large smile & firm hand shake. Each room was filled with soft aromatic fragrances & sparkled with cleanliness. Dr. Irmani's knowledge of his profession was apparent when describing the procedure & its history. However, his desire to assure my comfort & privacy is the main reason I will return every month after my initial colonics & refer many others. Please stop procrastinating, you owe it to yourself & your body will thank you! Thank you Nile Wellness Clinic for an awesome, positive experience I'm anxiously awaiting to repeat, Catherine Robinson read more

I had my First Colonic done on June 9th. Dr. Michael is very nice and straight to the point. This was well needed and I'm happy I decided to go. Just follow the instruction given and consume LOTS of water and you'll be okay. GOOD LUCK!!!! read more

OK! first let me start by saying I try to support black owned business whenever possible. I live in midtown and traveled all the way to Chamblee to support this business and have been sorely disappointed! First of all as a person that believes wholeheartedly in the benefits of holistic health especially for me colonics (once a week). Visiting Nile was not my first experience. I was so very disappointed in the OLD\Dated equipment also the lack of attention from the staff and lets not talk about the heating pads that did not have a cover so whomever used it before's DNA was all over it. Second- this is the only place that I have visited that required a payment to secure an appointment- very tacky! Overall there are much better places to relax, unwind and have a colon cleanse, most offer complimentary aromatherapy as well as an electrolyte drink to replenish following the cleaning. I can recommend 5 awesome places - do not waste your time with these folks! read more

I do home enemas, not excessively but when needed (listen to your body). However, I have been feeling a need to let some "ish" go for awhile that I've been holding on to internally. I came across an ad in a local newspaper and thought that the price was too good to be true! I made an appt immediately (which was SUPER easy & convenient, used the texting system). The location was surprising because the office is in an industrial area. Once inside, I was immediately comforted. The office is actually in a different building than the other reviews experienced but from what they describe, the mood is the same. I felt very comfortable as soon as I entered. Everything appeals to the senses which is important for a procedure like this. I have never experienced the new system until now and it was really comfortable and relaxing. I felt like I had more control of things and there was no embarrassment utilizing this system (for me, pap smears are worse!). The Dr is very professional, courteous, witty, positive, encouraging, knowledgable and intelligent. I was comfortable talking to him from the moment I walked in to the moment I left. I highly recommend this center for all. One suggestion, if you are a 1st timer and mentally have trouble with the idea of a tube of warm water running up your butt, try imagining what your colon looks like from years of unprocessed/undigested/decaying food stuck inside of you. Imagine that the big bulge that you carry in front of you is that (if you have one). Imagine the damage that that trapped stuff is causing you (toxins released, etc.). Then finally imagine the opportunity to get in there and wash it all out! That how I see it and that's why I get colonics and do enemas and such. My body, My temple....Happy Yelping! read more

Awesome experience and awesome service! I would definitely recommend. Visited many years ago and the service is still outstanding. The only draw back was that the new location was a little harder to find that original. read more

As a lover of almost all foods---I like to steal my sister's quote, "Pork is the tastiest of all meats!"--I recently decided I ought to be more concerned about my colon health. I lucked into finding the Nile Wellness Center for my first colonic. The Center has two open systems that allow for a more private and comfortable experience than older style closed systems. Dr. Imani is also gracious as can be on top of being knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. Plus, the prices are affordable at $55 per session. I've been back several times and plan on making my visits a "regular" appointment. read more

PHENOMENAL! I just experienced the best colonic service ever. I've had colonics since 1996 on a sparodic aspect, however, it the past few years I have increased my visits to 2-4 times annually. Today, I tried NILE WELLNESS CENTER for the first time, and I am IMPRESSED! From the outstanding consultation aspect, to where I interacted with Dr. I mani and learned some "How about that?" information, to the state of the art Colonez (not sure of the correct manufacture's name) machine to the post treatment assessment, the entire experience was awesome. It was truly worth the money, especially in today's economy, they even have some great specials going on in addition to other wellness services. I am in my early 40's, looking 30, feeling 20 and with my continue effort and diligence with the NILE WELLNESS CENTER, I know that I will attain the natural and healthy lifestyle I need and want in my life. 5 gold stars to NWC for top tier professionalism, vast holistic and traditional knowledge! I'll see you in a few weeks, Happy New Year, Namaste! read more

I have been visiting Nile Wellness for the past three years. Dr. Imani is always courteous and professional.

My husband and I went to Nile Wellness for our first Colonics. The experience was enlightening and lightening. Dr. Imani was great. He explained the procedure: what we needed to do and what to expect. With the Colonez machine, there was no pain, no smell, and you don't really see anything. I was overall happy with my visit and would definitely go again. As for the location: the office from the outside leaves something to be desired but inside, the rooms are cozy, low lit and warm with soft music and candles. Not what I would have expected but definitely a nice touch. read more

Niles Wellness Center is the best. A very clean, relaxing and professional facility. Always a great experience. Highly recommended.

I must admit, I was very skeptical at first by reading 1 or 2 reviews. I am so glad that I visited Dr. Imani this weekend. Long story short I will be back great experience. read more

Very unprofessional and old equipment. The "Dr" Michael Imani was unprofessional by being argumenative and not kind. The equipment was not modern. Some places have modern equipment that has pressure guages and will release at the appropriate time. This machine is old school and causes injury. I was in an immense amount of pain. Due to my pain, I googled "Dr" Imani, I learned that he ruptured patients Colons in the past and does not have a great reputation. He was successfully sued an He is deceptive. BEWARE! read more

I am a regular client. I love it. The office is VERY CLEAN, and warming. You are greeted when you first come into the office. The rooms are set at a temperature that's comfortable for you. And Dr. Imani is awesome. He is very knowledgeable, compassionate and professional. I have shared my experiences with friends and coworkers and they too have become a regular. He is very good at responding back to me getting an appointment, when I text. And lastly, but not least, the price is great. It's affordable. Thanks! read more

While searching for a holistic Dr. I found Nile / Michael Imani, I did a search for reviews. I learned my lesson to carefully search reviews after Progressive Medical left me broke with no answers. I was very excited about my colonic. I just knew it was going to be a great experience from all the positive feedback I had recieved from his clients. I was a little nervous, but that's just because I had never had a colonic done. He had sent me a text with his new location and told me to call him if I had any questions. I went on a friday, and arrived 30 mins early. Dr. Rasheed welcomed me with a professional manner and escorted me into the waiting room. The office is very clean and nicely set up. I really enjoyed the natural/african theme in the office. I was comforted by how clean his office was.A clean establishment is a sign that the business owner takes pride in his profession. I filled out the paper work and Dr. Rasheed showed me to my room a few minutes later. He explained the entire procedure very clearly, and told me to ring the bell when I was ready. The room was very clean and everything was ready for to use. The lube, the napkins, and the paper towels were laying on th table. He even had a nice smelling scented candle burning. The room and colonic machine was very clean. I must say that I was very impressed by that! I was very excited and couldn't wait to get my colonic. I followed his instructions, but he failed to tell me that placing the tub in your rectum is not that simple. I struggled for over TEN MINUTES TO GET IT TO STAY INSIDE OF ME. After a reasonable amount of time he knocked at my door. Feeling ashamed that I couldn't keep a short tube in my rectum ,I asked him to wait by the door so that I could put back on my pants. Feeling deafeated and red in the face I opened to door and Dr. Rasheed had gone back to the front lobby. This is when his NICE/NASTY SIDE CAME OUT. I informed him that I COULD NOT GET IT IN AND IF THERE WAS ANOTHER WAY TO INSERT IT. I MADE HIM EVEN MORE UPSET BY TELLING HIM THAT I HAD CALLED TWO FEMALE FRIENDS WHO HAD COLONICS DONE TO SEE IF THEY COULD HELP ME!he wasn't happy to hear about that. He was pissed BECAUSE MY FRIENDS WERENT DOCTORS AND I should have not contacted them!!!!!!!!! I UNDERSTAND THAT I SHOULD HAVE CONTACTED HIM FRST, BUT IASSUMED THAT SINCE HE HAD A PENIS, HE WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO PROPELRY HELP ME, SO I CALLED MY FEMALE FRIENDS FIRST. noooooooooooooo! the story gets even better. The Dr, told me to put my shoes back on and come back on another day. I told him that I WANTED TO STAY AND TRY ONE LAST TIME! he rudely told me that "YOU COULDN'T DO IT THE FIRST TIME, WHAT MAKES YOU THINK YOU CAN DO IT A SECOND TIME!" OMG! REALLY! and you call yourself a DOCTOR! his patients was short and he basically wanted me to leave his establishment so that he could get this other girls colon cleansed that was waiting in the front. He also reminded me THAT HE HAD BEEN DOING THIS FOR YEARSSSSSSSSSSSSS! AND THAT HE'S DONE MORE COLONICS IN THE COUNTRY(I HIGHLY DOUBT THIS CLAIM). Dr. Rasheed is what I call a nice/nice/ professional. he is very professional, but very rude. He basically told me to ge out because I couldn't stick the tube in my anus. II WILL NEVER RECOMMAND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE, I DON'T CARE HOW GREAT PEOPLE FEEL HIS SERVICE IS. While running out the door I noticed that he was attending to his new client. I gUess her $55 is more welcomed. While opening the door HE WISHED ME THE BEST JOURNEY! what? you just kicked me out of your establishment and now you want to wish me a great life. Stop showing off infront of your clients. Your customer service was trash and you know it! One word of advice to Dr. rasheed, please take all reading materials out of those rooms. There should be no magazines available where fecal matter can spread and make others sick. read more

I visited Nile for my first colonic recently. My experience wasn't bad, but I definitely wasn't blown away. While the office was quaint and somewhat cozy, I hoped for a much more tranquil, serene environment for something so personal. Dr. Imani was definitely personable and nice, but seemed rushed when explaining the procedure and what to expect in the days following it, and didn't seem all that knowledgeable about 1st time experiences and how they may be different than seasoned visitors. The process was very uncomfortable to me - I couldn't see or smell anything, but I could definitely feel it....I didnt like that machine and I definitely experienced strong cramping, nausea, and chills - but I think that's more so because it was my first time and I really needed it! I appreciated the level of provacy and am not sure I would like the closed system and having someone in there with me for the entire process...eek. Dr. Imani was helpful as I had to buzz him into the room a few times to make sure what I was experiencing was "normal." Since then I've felt much lighter (I lost 5 POUNDS!) and have a clearer mind. All in all, an okay facility and staff but I would choose another place, especially for a first time. Not quite the tranquil experience I was looking for. I would recommend colonic hydrotherapy for anyone considering it! read more

A friend of mine saw this place on TV one morning and decided he wanted to give them a try. I said that I would surprise him schedule the appointment and pay for the entire service, so I texted the number that was provided on the site for scheduling. After texting back and forth with the (head doctor) and him later giving me a call I declined their services. The doctor was VERY rude and unprofessional, I have never in my life experienced such. I figure if you go to school and pay thay much money for licensing they should have given him some type of interpersonal relations class. VERY DISSAPOINTED so I will be taking my business else where. read more
