Supercoffee on the ledge

Came here on a Saturday afternoon to try their famous housemade nut milk! The shop is super small, but with the large windows, has plenty of natural light. There are roughly 8 seats in the café, so the three of us occupied almost half of the store! I ordered the supercoffee, a unique blend of coffee, raw honey, steamed nutbar nutmilk, coconut oil, and vanilla. The drink was super smooth; there was a lot of microfoam that made it taste very full-bodied and go down easily. Interestingly enough, I found that there was a sour undertone to the coffee; however, my friends could only taste the bitterness. Perhaps it's the way my taste buds processed the flavour! The sourness faded after a while, making the drink easier to consume. My friend got the super matcha, which was very rich and earthy. I had a sip, and I greatly preferred it to my supercoffee. Overall, nutbar is a quaint place with cool drinks and a relaxing vibe. Come check it out, and remember to have some nutmilk!

During this visit I ordered a latte and avocado toast. Both were so good and items I've ordered countless times. They change some of their menu items seasonally, but the avocado toast seems to always be on the menu.

When I originally found this cute, healthy, vegan spot I was truly jumping out of excitement. The menu - perfection. The quality - perfection. The idea - perfection. The service - amongst the worst, that I have seen in this city The baristas are always annoyed, regardless of the time of day that you go in. They look at you like you are the worst part of the day, and your questions are received with an exaggerated eye-roll. I don't understand how this is consistent regardless of which location I go to, what time of day I go in, or which member of the staff that I encounter. Pretty sad that I have to avoid this spot because I am not in the mood to be greeted with their constant attitude. Step up guys, because the competition in this city is growing every day, and most people generally like to be greeted with a smile when they are coming into to spend their money at your establishment.

I stopped by Nutbar on a Saturday morning after working out. Nutbar is located just a walk away from Summerhill subway station downstairs. The place itself is small and designed as a grab and go type of cafe even though there are several seats available. Everything in the cafe is vegan, organic, and healthy, perfect for a post workout meal or even a healthy breakfast/lunch/snack. I ordered an avocado toast (with avocado, red radish, smoked olive oil, lemon juice, nutritional yeast, and sea salt with bread from Prairie Boy Bakery) and a nutbar drip coffee (drip coffee with nutbar nutmilk which is a custom housemade blend of organic cashew, almond and coconut milks). Service was friendly and quick even though staff seemed busy due to the many customers coming in. I managed to find a seat to eat my breakfast and I found everything to be delicious and healthy. Will come back to try more items and drinks soon!

4 stars for a small, cute, and clean spot that has extra bells and whistles for your coffee. Good place for daytime conversation. Got the nutbar and cookie dough thing. Both weren't too sweet (which I liked) and the nutbar has good enough flavour. I think they were pretty pricey for what they were, but my friend and I were in a "let's try this tiny cute snack for the sake of it". I probably wouldn't pay $6 for fresh toast), but I would try their coffee or specialty drinks when I'm on the neighbourhood.

This is a very interesting place. There are no seats. They just have big counters. I ordered Tumeric latter and it was very good. It costs $6.50. It is expensive, but it is worth of trying it once in a while not every morning. The place was clean and stylishly decorated. They do not have any bathroom for customers, so don't drink too much.

Branded as a "superfood snack cafe", Nutbar is a pretty, calming little spot with beautiful decor. They have smoothies, toast, coffee, energy bites and even soup! Ordered the Vanilla smoothie which was made with nut milk, cashews, dates, vanilla and sea salt. At $9.50, it ain't cheap but it tasted amazing and also comes in a good portion size. The dates really complemented the rest of the smoothie and the texture was on point. Honestly couldn't have enough of it!

I tried the Fresh Fizz and it was very good, very refreshing. I also like I could bring my laptop to work. Sometimes the music gets too loud but that's ok.

Disgusting food and smoothies. Never again, it is not worth the price and even if it was free I wouldn't touch it again.

I've been trying to watch what I eat, so I only ordered the praline and hazelnut croissant, even though there were so many items I wanted to try. The croissant was amazing! It had a nice fluffy texture, and it was very sweet. Highly recommend! I also ordered the lotus latte. The latte was sweet, but not overly sweet. It had a biscoff like cookie layer on top which gave it a unique flavour. I enjoyed the drink, but I probably wouldn't get again. The service was quick, and the server was very helpful in helping me choose which drink I should select :) Definitely will be coming back to try more of the pastries!

The person behind the phone was kind enough to hold 3 pastries down for me, I think I only got lucky because it was rainy and not as busy. If it was a sunny busy day it definitely wouldn't have happened. Finally got to try the famous crossiant x cookie mix. It was honestly just okay. the two chocolate croissants were yummy! And i did get the matcha strawberry latte, personally wouldn't recommend as it tasted too artificial. Would definitely check them out since they're a local gem. Service is always nice and effective.

The spot was cute on the first floor and heard there's a second floor for larger tables. The interior was cute and decorated prior to the holidays. Menu is large with lots of food options to choose from. We got: Oxtail Marmalade 4/5 - This was delicious, braised and had a deep flavour of oxtail. It was a bit sweet and paired perfectly with the griddled bread and dijon. French Toast 4/5 - A thick 2 layer French toast with blueberry compote and marscapone cream. Great for sharing, tasty but definitely can't finish it on my own. Fries 5/5 - The fries were great and tasty. Cooked well and great for sharing. Overall, thought the place was a great neighbourhood cafe. Service was good. Make a reso ahead of time.

The volume level was such that it got difficult to converse with others at my table. Had to speak quite loud so others could hear me. Lots of tasty looking options on the menu. I decided to order the falafel plate. service was attentive and the food came out quickly. The pita and falafel were tasty, while the vegetables that it came with were fresh. I just felt like it was missing more of a sauce to tie everything together. Overall, brunch was a good experience and I would like to come back to try other items.

I got the Lavender Latte with oat milk and my boyfriend got the Apple Cider. I really enjoyed my latte: it was smooth, the oat milk was creamy and complemented the espresso, and the lavender shined through. It was a great latte. They had a vast menu with many drinks and breakfast items. They had so many pastries to choose from! From croissants, baklava, bread/loaves, I'm sure there's something for everyone here. The further you go inside, it gets dimmer and there's not as much light. The interior has alot of yellow lighting, so that paired with working in the back on my laptop was a little straining on the eyes for me. I would've preferred working by the front but all those tables were occupied. Also it seems like there's a good amount of people working remotely here. The staff is always friendly, and the mocha is a reliable afternoon pick-me-up. I often see other remote workers camped out with their laptops, though I've yet to commit to a full work session myself. My visits are strictly of the grab-and-go variety so far. What really sets this place apart is the authentic selection of English pastries. While I'm not a meat pie person, I love that they have them here. It's a nice little nostalgic nod to my time in the UK, even if I'm just ducking in for a coffee and croissant. A solid choice for a caffeine fix, a friendly face, and a brief change of scenery from your home office.

I used to frequent their old location often and the new location is even better. Creeds coffee how much do I love thee? Let me count the ways: 1. Your coffee is amazing. 2. Your coffee is consistent! You make the identical cup of coffee every time. You even have a timer to time the brewing. 3. Your space is inviting. There are plenty of seats and the place is warm, vibrant and hip. The Wi-Fi is consistent and the music is HIP. 4. Your staff is amazing. 5. You have excellent food (try the avo toast) 6. You have an excellent gourmet grocery store under the same roof. 7. You have dry cleaning services under the same roof. I do have one small suggestion. Please offer some cheaper alternatives to all the hipsters who can't afford some of the prices. Keep being awesome!
