Great family run business with impeccable service! We…read moreneeded a new roof for our 10 year old home because the original root product used by the builder was garbage. Rather than going with a big outfit like the builder, we decided to try a smaller family owned business for more personal attention to our needs. So, we went with Whalley's Four Seasons Roofing and have stay with Ed ever since. The new roof work was done quickly and professionally within a budget we could handle, and every once in a while we have had Ed come out for other roof related work that keeps us reassured and confident that we have a good roof over our heads. Thanks to Ed and his family for great service. Rui & Paula Panorama Hills

Told their employees make their schedule, after a few times asking for an eta , after 6 hrs told it will take a few days for a call for an estimate. Asked why I wasn't told that right away , got that is how the company operates. If o was told that initially would have looked for a sooner response from another company, as I was worried about incoming storms flooding around my foundation, if I had known would have made amateur fix, but delayed telling me eta for 6 hrs. Then tell me it would be unfair to write review on initial customer service as I didnt go thru with their ambiguous eta. After 6 hrs found out it would be a few days before I could even talk to a tech for estimate, asked why they didn't tell me eta at first and was told a cple excuses like they were busy due to the weather, fine why dont you tell that to customer like a tow truck would during a blizzard. We have been in our new NW home for less than a week... what a long but rewarding experience it has been building a home in Alberta. In Ontario, you can have a home built from the ground up in 3 mos, I think here the tradesmen go north for more $ so it took time to build here, about 8 mos. Sterling has show homes all over the city as well as outside the cities and they are worth a walk through. The designers Sterling hires are amazing as well as the staff. They really do care about the people they build for. We were checking on our home every 3rd day as we could not wait to get in and of course we wanted to take pics of the progress and everyone was so patient. Every call or e-mail we placed was answered right away and they always set our mind at ease about any little things that needed to be touched up. For me, it is about the little things, the touches, the gift card we got for a nice restaurant right after we got back from our wedding/honeymoon. I always felt we were in good hands and I would be happy to answer any questions for anyone that is looking to build with Sterling. A tough process for a worry-wart like me, was made so much easier dealing with a company that truly cares about customer service and the aftercare/follow-up. We know for a fact that Sterling uses quality products when building right down to the clamps to keep the water pipes together. Instead of say a 49 cent clamp they used $5 ones and we really feel like we got our money's worth. Yep, I am a satisfied customer! Fingers crossed!

Let me start off by saying that I did not have my home built by Sterling (they were not in my…read moredevelopment). Rather, I had an experience with one of their employees completely outside of the home building/buying process which I feel might be relevant regardless. I bought a used vehicle off of one of their employees (they didn't know that I research *everything* before I buy a vehicle! :) ) and ran into some issues related to vehicle's Voice Recognition. The seller was under no obligation whatsoever to help me as I had already paid and received the (used) vehicle. However, after I contacted him about the issue, he contacted the dealership where he had everything done previously on the vehicle, and arranged for me to bring it in to have them take a look at it. It turned out to be an easy fix, but no one knew that at the time! The point of my review is this: if an employee (VP) of Sterling Homes demonstrates that much integrity when they don't *have* to, I can only imagine that it would be a pretty safe bet that they will demonstrate at least that much when dealing with their customers.
