My closest friends used Katnik Brothers for the sale of their Tustin properties and had all good things to say about their services. In 2025, I relocated out of state and now needed someone to manage the entire process of preparing my home for sale, which included interior and exterior painting, tile and grout repairs, house cleaning, window cleaning, furniture staging, and movers to pack my belonging and deliver as directed. In March 2026, I called Karl Katnik on his cell #, he met me at the house, and I shared that I don't have any time to deal with the transaction during my move out of state and need someone to completely manage the process. Karl assured me that they do this all the time, they have the contractors and staff to take this off my plate. Karl asked what I was thinking for a selling price, and then he shared his thoughts on what investment was needed on my part to support that selling price. I went with his recommendations, we agreed upon the timeline, and then I signed the DocuSign agreement to proceed. I was introduced to his associate Hannah Goldman who was my point person for the rest of the transaction and provided timeline updates and managed the service providers who were assigned to my project. Hannah kept me well informed and the Katnik operations team provided all the electronic documentation for the transaction that I could complete while out of the area. The home was prepared for sale, listed, and sold within the agreed timeframe and terms that we wanted. The entire process was seamless for both buyers and sellers. I will certainly recommend Hannah and Karl to anyone looking to sell their home, and they will be my first phone call if I decide to buy another home in Orange County. Unfortunately, my phone conversation with David Gushue regarding the listing at 2534 Bungalow Pl, Corona Del Mar, CA 92625 was one of the most uncomfortable interactions I've ever had with an agent. I called because I was genuinely interested in the property as a potential buyer. From the beginning, his tone came across as rude, condescending, and unnecessarily confrontational. He questioned me with comments such as, "Who are you?" and asked what the last property I purchased was. When I mentioned that my most recent purchase was in Florida, he laughed in a way that I found extremely condescending. My daughter was sitting next to me and heard the entire conversation. Even she was shocked by the way I was being spoken to. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this interaction was bad enough that I felt prospective buyers and sellers should know about my experience. Based solely on my personal interaction with him, I would not recommend this agent. The attitude and ego were completely unnecessary. A note to sellers: Please do your homework before choosing who represents your home. Your listing agent is often a buyer's first impression of your property. The way an agent communicates can attract a serious, qualified buyer--or drive one away before they even see the home. As a serious buyer and investor who called specifically about 2534 Bungalow Pl, this interaction was enough to make me lose interest in pursuing the property through him. Sellers deserve an agent who welcomes and encourages qualified buyers rather than potentially pushing them away.
