I'm about 9 1/2 years late on posting this review, but I saw someone on Facebook mention Wade…read moreFuneral Home and it brought back a bittersweet memory. Wade took care of my dad after he passed in February of 2016. As requested, my dad was to be buried a few hours away in central Texas. They loaded him up in their SUV and we started the long trek to the burial site. I had horrible anxiety at the time about driving long-distance on the highway so they accommodated me by taking the beautiful scenic route through the backroads which was such a comfort to me. And funny story: my mom (my dad's ex wife) got pulled over 5 minutes into the drive for expired registration. My dad was a prankster so I know he would've gotten a laugh out of this. The Wade SUV pulled over and went to speak with the police officer and asked him to let her go because this was a funeral procession for a loved one. They did let her go with a warning but it was so kind-natured of them to intervene for the family in mourning. They seemed very protective of us. Would highly recommend them.

Kevin at Wade funeral told me he could do all of that for me Well he did the part of taking my credit card and charge my it well over a thousand dollars. But he "forgot" to get any of the papers - even though I stressed to him Many times how important that was. I was coming in from out of town so I really needed to be sure to get the copies. When I arrived to Dallas, I sent an email to Kevin which was ignored so I drove over to Wade Funeral where Kevin was no where to be found and no one knew anything. So I sent another email that got ignored. Finally when I'm called again, I was told no copies Of the obituary were available because he forgot. Isn't this his job? Now I wish I would have placed the obituary myself and ordered the number of papers I needed directly from the paper and I advise you so that. Because now I don't have what my Family asked of me. And Kevin and Wade's Funeral Home don't care and will not make it right.

Losing my mom was the hardest thing I've ever experienced, and Luna Family Funeral Home--especially…read moreLilly--helped carry us through it with compassion I'll never forget. From the first moment, Lilly treated my mom with gentleness, dignity, and respect. She was attentive to every question, present for every need, and so patient and kind with both my brother and me. What meant the world to me was that her prices are genuinely affordable--not because corners are cut, but because she truly has a heart for serving families. You can feel that this isn't just a job for her. It's her calling. After hearing her personal story, I understand why she shows so much care--she honors her own mother by helping families honor theirs. Lilly took care of everything: the arrangements, the notifications, the details I would never have been able to handle in my grief. She made a painful experience just a little lighter, simply by showing compassion and treating my mom like she mattered. I am so grateful for Luna Family Funeral Home and for the gentle, dignified care they gave my mom. I recommend them with my whole heart.

I went for my mom's birthday, and it looked more like the other parts of the grounds and I have to say that I picked the most perfect place for them. It costed me a new car, or a trailer home or we'll cost me a lot but there is no price. I wouldn't pay to honor my parents and know that I did what they wanted me to do. So if I have to work a little longer to pay for this plot it was totally worth it. We have a beautiful area and I even decided that although I want to be cremated, I want to be in the area where they are that way my son has only one place to visit and it's a really nice place close to our home where we live, and where he will grow up. My mom loved the Hallmark channel and you know on the hallmark channel. They have all those beautiful funerals and Rollinghills at the cemeteries and you almost forget that someone passed away because you see all the greenery and It's just a restful peaceful place. Well, I know that this is exactly what my mother would have wanted not my dad because he could be a little thrifty but I know he knows that my mom rules, and as second in charge, I had to follow suit for him as well. Thank you, Ana. Also, thank you to the general manager whose name escapes me for the moment but thank you both for rectifying the situation so quickly.

I was a bit taken aback when a hearse arrived with two gentlemen who said they worked for a funeral home came to the door; then they quickly told they do pick ups for Lone Star. They were kind, polite and considerate. After I was notified, I drove to their facility to pick up my husbands ashes, and received the death certificates. They had also notified Social Security about the change in status, and I received SSA without any change in schedule. I highly recommend this company. All I did was forward the previous emails to them and they finally got it. They dragged out the process so I have to wait 10-14 days longer than I should have to get the death certificates. They didn't guarantee a specific date, but their estimate of 7-10 days turned into two weeks. When I went to pick up my wife's ashes she was just in a paper bag on the floor with many others. Watching her haphazardly search through the bags on the floor was horrifying. I would not recommend their service to anyone.
