I had the privilege of witnessing Mr. Monty Richards interact with a grieving mother and he was very warm and kind (in both words and actions) as if he sensed her pain. I imagine someone that's been in this business for as long as he has and that's been exposed to death on a daily basis would be numb to grief but it's evident that Mr. Roberts hasn't lost his sense of empathy for others. His actions alone would make me want to use and recommend this funeral home.

The family should've stayed seated at the front of the chapel and the guests should've been ushered by to greet the family in a row instead of us pushed to the foyer and just a cluster of people standing around. The pamphlet handout that they give out to the guests at the memorial was so tiny. We thought it was going to be a half a sheet of paper not 1/4. It's just unfortunate because this is not something you can redo. There's just little things that should've been done so much better especially her makeup.

I was a bit taken aback when a hearse arrived with two gentlemen who said they worked for a funeral home came to the door; then they quickly told they do pick ups for Lone Star. They were kind, polite and considerate. After I was notified, I drove to their facility to pick up my husbands ashes, and received the death certificates. They had also notified Social Security about the change in status, and I received SSA without any change in schedule. I highly recommend this company. I was able to make all the arrangements over the internet and pay with a credit card.

Watching her haphazardly search through the bags on the floor was horrifying. I would not recommend their service to anyone.

This cemetery was a trip back in time as I read the history on many of the grave markers. The city did a great job preserving the cemetery as the economy grew around the sacred grounds. Parking can be a little tricky, but the location is easily accessible once at the cemetery. What I found amazing was the one marked as a Confederate soldier captured in a Union P.O.W. camp.
