From the first moment, Lilly treated my mom with gentleness, dignity, and respect. She was attentive to every question, present for every need, and so patient and kind with both my brother and me. What meant the world to me was that her prices are genuinely affordable--not because corners are cut, but because she truly has a heart for serving families. You can feel that this isn't just a job for her. It's her calling. After hearing her personal story, I understand why she shows so much care--she honors her own mother by helping families honor theirs. Lilly took care of everything: the arrangements, the notifications, the details I would never have been able to handle in my grief. She made a painful experience just a little lighter, simply by showing compassion and treating my mom like she mattered. I am so grateful for Luna Family Funeral Home and for the gentle, dignified care they gave my mom. I recommend them with my whole heart.

I'm about 9 1/2 years late on posting this review, but I saw someone on Facebook mention Wade…read moreFuneral Home and it brought back a bittersweet memory. Wade took care of my dad after he passed in February of 2016. As requested, my dad was to be buried a few hours away in central Texas. They loaded him up in their SUV and we started the long trek to the burial site. I had horrible anxiety at the time about driving long-distance on the highway so they accommodated me by taking the beautiful scenic route through the backroads which was such a comfort to me. And funny story: my mom (my dad's ex wife) got pulled over 5 minutes into the drive for expired registration. My dad was a prankster so I know he would've gotten a laugh out of this. The Wade SUV pulled over and went to speak with the police officer and asked him to let her go because this was a funeral procession for a loved one. They did let her go with a warning but it was so kind-natured of them to intervene for the family in mourning. They seemed very protective of us. Would highly recommend them.

Kevin at Wade funeral told me he could do all of that for me Well he did the part of taking my credit card and charge my it well over a thousand dollars. But he "forgot" to get any of the papers - even though I stressed to him Many times how important that was. I was coming in from out of town so I really needed to be sure to get the copies. When I arrived to Dallas, I sent an email to Kevin which was ignored so I drove over to Wade Funeral where Kevin was no where to be found and no one knew anything. So I sent another email that got ignored. Finally when I'm called again, I was told no copies Of the obituary were available because he forgot. Isn't this his job? Now I wish I would have placed the obituary myself and ordered the number of papers I needed directly from the paper and I advise you so that. Because now I don't have what my Family asked of me. And Kevin and Wade's Funeral Home don't care and will not make it right.

Yes 365 days ago and they still have not delivered it. We call and they don't return calls or texts. They give updates that are false and when you call them they give a later date. My 97yo grandma paid for this last January and just wants to see the finished product while she is still here! So I called them today and said that's it I'm done! I will be posting about this so here's my review! So run as fat as you can away from there. It looks like they have shut down comments on their page so you can only do them if they review them 1st another huge red flag why NOT to do business with them!

Mom was buried in November '21 she is, as of the beginning of this week she is still in an unmarked grave. We were initially told it would be 6 months for a marker to be made, supply issues etc... The option for a temporary marker was never presented by the Funeral home. As a funeral home, it's is their responsibility to offer, not ours as a grieving family to think to ask. One poor review on another site, 6 months after interrment, and they offer to put a temporary marker out, and tell us it will be another 6 to 8 months to get a stone marker. This would have made my mother have an unmarked grave for 12 to 14 months had we stuck to their timeline. We have decided to use a different company than the funeral home offers to get a headstone. That company told us 6 to 8 weeks, not 6 months. I won't even get into the shenanigans they pulled and threats that had to be made in order for us to get our money back to buy a marker from a different company. No family should have to go through this. Emerald hills really dropped the ball on this one.

Without our consent, they disposed of my brother's clothing, even though his case is under active investigation. When I reached out by email requesting clarification-specifically, who authorized this decision and where in their funeral policies it states that clothing can be discarded without family approval-Director Juan Carlos Carreño called me directly instead of replying in writing. He told me he would not provide anything in writing and claimed that "all funeral homes are allowed to do that. " He later stated that because the clothes were "soiled and had bodily fluids," it was "protocol." He was rude, yelled and hung up the call. Regardless of their explanation, no family should have their loved one's belongings discarded without their knowledge or consent, especially in a case involving an ongoing investigation. We have already filed a formal complaint with the Texas Funeral Service Commission regarding this matter. Families deserve transparency, respect, and professionalism during their most vulnerable moments-qualities we did not experience here!
