I've had Nu Way once before. This is my first time at this location. Ordered two hot dogs, all the way, (chili, onions, and mustard) and one slaw dog. The slaw dog had a nice light fresh taste. The chili dogs have the perfect blend of flavor together, all on nice steamed buns. The fries were average at best. Clean dining area and friendly service.

Food is what is to be expected at a fast food hotdog place the slaw dogs are very good. The restaurant was very clean and our service was fast and our cashier was hilarious, my only complaint was that the fries were cold and not salty other than that it was a good stop for lunch

Clean establishment with plenty of seating, including a food court. Friendly staff. The day we went, the fries were off and the flaky ice seemed to be mixed with not-so-flaky ice. Hmm... I love a Nu-Way dog and that's what you're there for. These hit the spot, and you can't not indulge in a little extra mustard with it right on the table! Or ketchup, or both :) TV with volume (yay) available in this location. I'd go back and just mention the fry situation.

SALTY, THIN & TOUGH!!!! Wow my first and last time having breakfast here! The tots are nothing to run home to mom about.

Wow! Nu-Way is great! I've lived in Macon for years, yet somehow I've never had a Nu-Way. The worker was very friendly, and I loved the decor inside the restaurant. We got a take out order, and had no issues. Get the burger all the way! It's great. Fries are good as well. I highly recommend Nu-Way! They also have a drive thru

The legendary Nu-Way. Those of us in the gluttony biz have known about Nu-Way even if we're far too lazy to make the drive down to Macon to try their red hots. But a trip to Florida, combined with an unplanned stop for gas, led to, well, ANOTHER unplanned stop for gas. Now I'm not foolish enough to confuse this branch with the original. I've eaten at enough chains borne from the need to whore out a one and only to recognize the impact of dilution. I'll keep all that in mind when I type this up. Anyway, I ordered two chili dogs, fries and a coke. As promised, I was handed my radiation red wieners and my fries. I bit into my dogs and.....eh. They were fine, but were they worthy of the press? Not quite. The franks still had some nice bite and the chili smacked of cinnamon and possibly nutmeg that some of the slyer chili dog recipes call for. But it was still kind of pedestrian. The unsalted fries didn't help the cause as did the relatively high cost (almost $7) for what amounted to 2 small chilidogs. Still, considering what I stated earlier about originals vs. branches, I risk being overly critical here. So three stars for this particular branch of "Nu-Way." Maybe I'll have to make a special trip to try the original.

The food is hot and fresh and the cashier was fast and courteous. The restaurant is clean and I will be returning to eat at this location.

Hometown favorite. Great hotdogs but can be pretty heavy on the gut. Fries are great too.

Always a treat when we come here! Sometimes the staff is a little rude but the food makes up for it. Sweet tea is the bomb!

Nuway is a Macon classic. The hot dogs are nice and snappy. The chili is excellent. Put them together and you have some amazing chili dogs.

I was waited on by a girl with cornrows who was working the register. I ordered chili and a burger. As I waited on my meal I tried to engage her with small conversation instead of us both standing there in silence. She just looked dumbfounded. She had an empty blank stare. Her facial expression was flat. Some questions about the menu items she couldn't answer. She could have been new. Her coworker would walk over and answer the questions and her coworker was far more animated and she smiled etc. But this girl.. wow she was awful. Why put someone who has less personality than a mannequin on the register? Her personality was as dry as the Sahara desert. In fact I've met tree stumps with more personality. So no.. I did not like my experience with her. She looked like she didn't want to be there and like she was very unhappy with her job or even having to work. From now on ill go through drive thru. But on a positive the restaurant has a much larger menu than what the drive thru ordering screen shows. They have pot roast dinners and sandwhiches, pork loin sandwhiches, chili and chicken noodle soup and a lot more items. I believe the restaurant is cutting itself short by not advertising these items on its outdoor ordering screen. The chili was fantastic. Thick, homemade, very flavorful. As always the burger was delicious.

When I saw the announcement that they were trading in their classic cups for Kraft paper pouches that consumed less paper, I assumed that there would be a difference between a little, a regular, and a large, given the difference in price. I have previously ordered, when they still used cups, a little and a regular and saw the amount of fries. Two weekends ago, I ordered and was charged for a regular and received the amount of fries I have previously received with a little. I was shocked at first but then logged in online to see this was also the experience of others since the transition to the new container. This isn't such a big deal if these are moderately priced fries but this "regular" portion of fries is $7.59. That is similar to a basket of fries at a restaurant and I expect a similar portion, which is what the portion was under the cup system. Five Guys isn't cheap but it always felt like the quality of the food and the portion justified the price. That just isn't the case anymore. I used to go to Five Guys a couple of times a month and grab dinner for me and my friend but we haven't been back since, and likely won't.
