This place is very cute! our bartender was this adorable woman with a tyedye hoodie on and was very sweet the moment we walked in. She made us killer bloody Mary's with some serious love (it was hella good - highly recommend) ordered a quesadilla & sat outside.

Stopped in because we were strolling through downtown and needed a restroom and a drink. Nice bartender, friendly customers, good drinks. I like that they have food available to order. Great Dive Bar, my kind of place.

Good selection of bourbons. Bartender is genuinely friendly & the locals seem to enjoy hanging here. We live in Nebraska & this would be a nice place to come relax regularly if we lived out here.

Drinking in the afternoon as I contemplate my thesis and my next novel. Relaxing place where I can hang, reflect and write. I like this place, it's friendly, neat, and a wonderful example of the hometown old school neighborhood bar.

I really liked this place, until my most recent visit today. In the past, the late-night bartenders…read morehave been engaging, friendly, and made us feel welcome. That completely changed when we encountered Cece today. From the moment my sister-in-law and I walked in, there was no greeting, no engagement, and no hospitality. The very first thing Cece said to my sister-in-law was to tell her to remove her hoodie and glasses. I explained that her glasses were prescription transition lenses that change with lighting, Cece acknowledged the prescription but dismissed that explanation and claimed it was for "security." Within just a few minutes of us arriving, she was already treating us like a concern. The only clear difference between us and everyone else seated at the bar was our skin color. No other guests were questioned or scrutinized the way we were. The experience felt like blatant racial profiling, and it was incredibly uncomfortable and disappointing. We left and went to Nu-Rays on the next block, where the contrast was immediate, warm, welcoming, and respectful. When we mentioned what happened, the bartender and other local guests seating at the bar even commented that Cece is known for profiling guests, which made the experience even more upsetting. It's sad and unacceptable that behavior like this is tolerated. I sincerely hope ownership and management address this issue, because no customer should feel targeted or unwelcome based on the color of their skin.

It's been a while since I've come here pre covid. I remember coming here for at least 10 years…read more.. We came down to Benicia for the UBE festival on first Street. Unfortunately, the festival did not serve any liquor so we decided head down to the local bar before we enjoy the festival and all the food it had. We walked into the bar, and it felt like the establishment hasn't changed a bit. The ambiance is the dark speakeasy bar feeling. We sat at the bar and were greeted by a super nice bartender who made some delicious drinks! Back in the day there used to be brunch and a bigger food menu but they have stopped that. The buffet I guess was a waste and a lot of food didn't get eaten. They used to have a make your own Bloody Mary bar, but didn't see that either. The menu is on an IPad and it's nice to see the photos of what the every drink looks like. There is an assortment of drinks to choose from. This is one of the bars that actually knows how make drinks! We order a mixture of drinks, from the key lime pie martini, to the spicy jalapeño margaritas with the Tajin rim, to the delicious pear drink! These drinks were made with love! I would definitely recommend this place for drinks, during the evening they usually have a band playing. The only reason why it's not a 5 star is the old furniture... I used to love sitting on the sofas for a cozy feeling but they look pretty beat up now... just makes things look a bit dirty. Thanks for the drinks! It made the festival much better!

I have NEVER had anyone not think it was amazing after trying a sip. Don't let the word "martini" scare you. This drink is heaven. If you haven't been to the Rellik then you're really missing out. (This is where you the reader involuntarily snap your fingers) Yes, the decor is quirky and fun and worthy of exploring fully. The food is very pub fare with a great Prime rib special on Fridays and Saturdays. The wyfe had the prime rib and found it a bit grisly but tasted good even having to spit out bits on gristle onto her plate. I had the Steak Sandwich. Was very tasty including all the grease that dribbled down my chin. I was told it was made from leftover prime rib and one could tell it was a higher quality meat. And the 200+ beers is wonderful, all reasonably priced which was great in an era when many places are starting to price their beers $10+. I will want to the cocktails. Interestingly the bar is very high making the patrons look very short and/or heads on a long board. Did I mention the ooky vibe? Adding to the experience is the drive to get there. Lots of very windy roads with drop offs and spooky trees (did they plan that?). I found the staff incredibly friendly and helpful which contrasted to some of the reviews citing rude and vulgar behavior. Perhaps that is something I could have asked for that would underscore the true dive experience. The town is cool and quirky too. Definitely worth a look
