I had to go to the NSW Maritime Office in Kent street in order to do the computer test for my Maritime license for boats. The officers were like a smaller version of the RTA (Roads & traffic authority) and had heaps of interesting maritime posters, and booklets for continued education.
I sat for the test, and knew I had practiced online sufficiently, although once I was completed, the test facilitator looked at me with a strange expression. He walked over, and said 'are you sure about question 16, do you really think it is answer A', so he pretty much pointed to the correct answer and saved my ass - as I wouldn't have passed without his help, and I would have had to pay to do the test again.
These guys here are really cool, and very helpful, if you've been thinking about getting your boat licence, I would highly recommend heading to Kent street to ask some questions before you start. read more
