My 2006 daytona charger was supposed to be picked up three different times before the 25th. Finally the driver got there at 9pm. The communication is wack. This company refused to pick up my vehicle on the requested date because the holiday was coming up. I told them I didn't care that Labor Day was near; I would like my car picked up on the date that I requested 3 weeks prior. I get a call from the driver saying that his truck miraculously broke down and he would not be able to pick it up until after the holiday. Fast forward to my actual pick-up. I confirmed with the driver that I would have my car in 4 days because I needed it on the 5th day. He confirmed this, and we both went on our way. On day 4, I get a call from his dispatch saying my vehicle will be delivered in 3 hours. 6 hours go by...I call dispatch again to inquire about my vehicle, and he says the driver is on the way. It is Day 5 now, and I need my vehicle for a business trip. I call dispatch at 0700 to inquire about my vehicle again because I desperately need it to get on the road. Dispatch says, "The driver is coming, and he will be there shortly". To make a long story short, I had to cancel my business trip because the driver made me miss my deadline. I called dispatch again at 1214 to figure out what the hell was going on, and dispatch says, "Our driver had a lot of stops before yours, but he is on the way". Why tell me he was on the way 5 hours when he wasn't because he had so many stops? I texted dispatch this time, and they called me immediately saying, "The driver told them he left to head towards me 30 minutes ago. He will be there shortly". I have a LoJack on my vehicle, so I am watching it constantly, and I see that the driver has not moved for about 9 hours. I ask dispatch why they are lying, and he says, "Sorry. He will be heading out towards you in 15 minutes". I didn't get my vehicle until 8:21 p.m. The driver called me to say he was 1 hr away at 6:17 p.m. I checked my LoJack to see, and it actually showed him 30 minutes away. So why was my vehicle delivered 2 hours later when I was told I was his next stop? This company does not respect your timelines and will lie to you just to get you off the phone. Absolute scam company…read more I write this as I sit waiting for my local police department to send an officer so I can report my car, shipped through Royal Auto Ship, stolen. Best case, they used a fly by night company to ship my car. Worst case, they are involved in the disappearance of my car- which is now overdue by a week. I don't know which because all communication is sketchy at best- what there is of it. I am no longer getting any answers at all. All of this is not even getting into the last minute attempt to up the fee after an agreement was reached. Pay the extra to use a comma y with their own trucks. I learned that the hard way.

I booked my car transport from NY to CA through a broker, Flix Auto. They were great, although I…read moredidn't really understand the broker thing. I shipped a car before and the company i booked it with was the same company that picked up and shipped. This time was different and confused me a bit. The broker will find a shipper for you, arrange a price and set it up for shipping. The whole thing seemed strange to me as you pay on delivery and in cash. Seemed odd as in the past you pay before pickup. I didn't have a huge budget to spend and they quoted me a good price so I booked it. Anyway, It was only when the driver arrived for pickup that I learned the shipping company was starway. (The broker has no more involvement at this point). The driver did arrive, loaded the car and went on his way. The next day I looked up starway and as you would expect I got super nervous and concerned from all the reviews. I was a nervous wreck for a week thinking about the car. On day 3 of transit I called to see if I get an update on the car and get the drivers phone number so I could check in with him. I was told the car was still expected on schedule and they would call me back with the drivers number. Never got the call. I called a different number the next day and got someone else who quickly just said to text him and he'll find out. He did in fact text me back shortly after with the drivers name and number. The staff at starway don't speak very good English at all so it's kind of hard to speak with them so Mayby that's why they're eager to keep the calls short. A day before the scheduled delivery day I texted the driver as I was expecting a call from him the day before but didn't hear from anyone. He said he would arrive in CA The next day but would be at night and would let me know. I stayed in touch with him the next day trying to get an ETA. Around 6pm he texted saying he would be arriving around 11pm. That's really late for me as I get up very early for work, but I just wanted to get my car in my hands so I went with it. He arrived and my car was exactly as it left, huge relief. He got it off the truck, looked up my info on his phone, I paid him the agreed upon price (huge relief) and was glad it was over and all went well. So all said, they picked up my car, shipped it fast for a great price and it arrived safe. Customer service is a bit lacking, seems like they can't wait to get you off the phone but all in all they did their job and I can't really complain other than the week of sleepless nights reading the horror stories in the reviews. I'll give them 4 stars for lacking customer service since everything was ok other than that. Would I use them again? Prob not, I'd rather pay a few hundred bucks more for the peace of mind.

My car was supposed to be here on a specific date, needless to say, the car never showed up nor no one from the company didn't bother calling me to let me know why my car won't be arriving on the date at all. Their attitude is "oh we close at 6pm." Also, one of the drivers stole my sunglasses, Apple iPhone charger and had my car smelling of cigarettes (and I'm not a smoker, nor have I ever had someone smoke in my car!). Don't use them if you don't need too, save yourself from headaches and arguments with representatives that don't care at all about your personal belongings. I found State to State moving on Yelp and was desperate at this point as we were needing to be out of her townhome within a week. I was received a quote that was more reasonable than I got anywhere else! Moving day came and they movers who arrived were hard working, knowledgeable and great! I couldn't have asked for a better moving team. They also kept me informed of where they were all along the cross country trip. In Los Angeles the movers again were the kindest, hardest working guys imaginable! Everything itemized and arrived in good condition. I can't tell you how relieved I was that State to State movers turned out to be better than I could have imagined. I also shipped my daughters car cross country with them and a great experience all around! What could have been a horrible disaster turned into a wonderful blessing!
