Plantation shutters that were suppose to take 6-8weeks, took over 3 months and didn't come the correct size!!! There was a gap that was covered with caulking that is smelly, shiny and the color does NOT match the shutters. I called my rep to complain 9 days ago and I am still waiting to hear from the owner. Horrible customer service. I do not recommend them to anyone else.

We recently used Budget Blinds for some custom arched plantation shutters. Although the quality of…read morethe shutters is satisfactory, we cannot say the same about the installed product and customer service. The free consultation was great, obviously making their best sale pitch for us to commit. Once we committed, placed the order and made payment of 70%, this is when we started having trouble. We were informed that it would take 6-8 weeks for the shutters to be ready. After 3 weeks they came out to "re-measure" the arch in the windows again. Because the window had a 1" difference on one of the sides, they wanted to be sure that the shutters were cut to size. We were informed this wouldn't be a problem. It took 13 weeks for them to finally show up to our home to install the shutters, and after waiting all this time, one of the shutters was left with a 1" gap covered with glossy caulking on the inside and a gap that could be seen from the outside of the house. Despite me questioning the installer about the gap and telling him that it was not going to look good. The other shutter installed was satisfactory, however the caulking used is glossy and very strong toxic smell that lingered for days in the bedroom. We called the company rep and informed her that we were not satisfied and requested her not to deposit the check with the 30% balance until the matter had been resolved. Despite our request, the check was cashed, 3 days have gone by and we are still waiting for them to contact us about fixing the problem.
