Subject: Formal Complaint - Substandard Workmanship, Property Damage, and Failure to Honor Warranty…read more I am filing this formal complaint against Royal Painting and Repairs and its owner, Nicholas Bradford, for unworkmanlike construction, property damage, abandonment of responsibility, and failure to honor a promised warranty. I paid $18,505 for remodeling work, including wall texturing, painting, and installation of laminate flooring throughout my residence. Nicholas represented himself as highly skilled and assured me that his work would be warrantied. The quality of work delivered was unacceptable. Before painting, Nicholas textured all interior walls but failed to cover or protect electrical outlets and light switches. As a result, outlets and switches throughout the home are now covered in texture, demonstrating a complete lack of basic jobsite protection and professional standards. This has caused avoidable damage and will require corrective work. In addition, the laminate flooring began failing within months of installation. The locking mechanisms separated, creating gaps throughout the home, and the flooring feels soft, unstable, and bouncy, consistent with improper installation of a floating floor system. The home is built on a slab foundation, ruling out structural movement as a cause. Gaps were also left along baseboards throughout the house, further evidencing careless workmanship. Due to these concerns, I hired an independent contractor to inspect the work. The contractor expressed shock at the overall poor quality and confirmed that significant portions of the flooring installation and finishing work would need to be removed and redone. Although Nicholas promised that his work was warrantied, he has failed to respond to repeated attempts to contact him and has abandoned responsibility for correcting the defects. I have made reasonable efforts to allow him the opportunity to remedy the issues, which he has ignored. Photographs documenting the flooring failures, baseboard gaps, and textured electrical outlets and switches are attached. Based on the above, I believe Royal Painting and Repairs failed to meet minimum professional standards, caused property damage through negligence, and failed to honor contractual and warranty obligations. I respectfully request that the licensing department investigate this matter and take appropriate action.

I was scammed by a man named Brian Shakesnider and his wife. I paid them a deposit to build two gates for my home, and they never came back. When I politely asked for my money back, he got angry, cursed at me, and blocked me. I work very hard for what I have. I'm a single mother. I don't rely on government assistance or child support--I earn every dollar to provide a safe and stable home for my children. This money was meant to improve our space and give them something better. I trusted them. I believed their words and promises. And what hurts the most is they hide behind God's name, posting prayers and preaching online, yet their actions are dishonest and wrong.
